This is from last week's extraction (they had to shave off one side of the lower to get a good grip), sterilized via autoclave:

Nah, they're actually just engine-block warmers.  If you don't have access to one, then the thing to do is to leave your car idling and unattended while you go inside for whatever.  No, seriously!

At a glance, the founder of Fairbanks was evidently Bill Murray.  You learn something new every day!

This poem/image is inside the Co-op, which is sort of a small indoor mall.  It's very central to Fairbanks, though -- probably the biggest shopping center they have.  It is only a city of 35,000 people, after all.
