Alicia ended up zoning out during that discussion as she listened to a particularly interesting prayer, but she doesn't miss the signal to start combat! Enlarging in size to match Brass, she steps closer and lays into the wyrm with both ends of her blade, bashing his head aside and slicing open his neck and chest!

You chose the right spell type, Alicia. Sometimes being lucky is just as effective as being good.

Your swordplay is without compare, carving into the dragon. Your blows cut deep - only for the dragon to flow like liquid brass, smooth and shiny. It's like trying to slice apart an ocean, flowing with your strikes, sliced without being cut. Yet the combustion burns it, sizzling flames making the liquid brass sizzle and boil.

"AAAAH! HOT HOT HOT HOT HOOOOT!" Brass cries, "So hot I'm going to burn up!"

That's all Amaryl needs to hear, dashing in and rolling under a splash of brass, snapping off arrows as she rolls.

> roll 1d20+69 Amaryl
> roll 1d20+69 Amaryl
> roll 1d20+69 Amaryl
> roll 1d20+69 Amaryl

<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 82 > [d20=13]
> roll 1d20+69 Amaryl
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 81 > [d20=12]
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 86 > [d20=17]
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 78 > [d20=9]
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 85 > [d20=16]
> roll 5d6 only fire damage applies
> roll 5d6 only fire damage applies
> roll 5d6 only fire damage applies
> roll 5d6 only fire damage applies
> roll 5d6 only fire damage applies
> roll 5d6 only fire damage applies
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 20 > [d6=1,4,6,6,3]
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 16 > [d6=2,4,2,3,5]
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 13 > [d6=4,2,5,1,1]

<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 16 > [d6=2,6,1,1,6]

The wyrm boils and bubbles, before crying out. A great gout of steam erupts around the dragon as it reforms, panting, "Too hot," he cries, scales shimmering like molten metal, runny looking. Yet beyond that he looks hale and whole, not sign of damage at all.

Brass then stumbles back, before breathing out and crying, "Breath friend, I call on you, honor our pact and protect me to your utmost, as was promised and will always be done!" The wyrm then breathes out, a haze of purple gas that forms up into a hulking man-shape as large as Alicia, before going to lay right into her.

> roll 1d20+55 (-30 CE)
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 58 > [d20=3]
> roll 1d20+55 (-30 CE)
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 61 > [d20=6]

Alicia's base AC blocks that, so we know that's a miss all prepped out. Correct me if I'm wrong, Alicia.

Yet the breath monster is defending the dragon as it strikes, his blows careful and easily blocked, as...

Init is Alicia (Supreme) > Amaryl (Supreme) > Brass = Breath Elemental (57) > Moore (45) > Oberuth = Antenora (43) > Seira (42) > Jetina (25)

Go Moore.

Moore hrms for a moment, but for the time being holds his ground!

He's holding for now in case there are more tricks that he might be able to help do something about.

"No, it's too hard to concentrate when I'm boiling and stay molten metal, because it's like trying to hold in a bunch of burps and giggles at once, it doesn't work and I start leaking so I have to shift back, and it's not fair to use because too hot means too hard to concentrate, I don't see how magma elementals do it, I don't suppose you have some insights?" A blurt of words almost on top of each other, so fast it's only everyone's trained hearing that lets them discern what was said.

In an instant Oberuth is there, defending Alicia just as the breath elemental defends Brass. Smaller but faster, moving about with sword and shield in position.

> roll 1d20+37 (-32 CE, he'll do it better on general principals)
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 55 > [d20=18]

The two clash, holding back and defending, neither truly committing as meanwhile Antenora leaps up into the air, a shrill cry as she plunges right at the elemental, ignoring the strike as...

Charging in and eating the AoO, just part of doing business.

> roll 1d20+55 (-30 CE)
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 65 > [d20=10]

Miss.

> roll 1d20+66 (+2 charge, +14 various)
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 81 > [d20=15]

Miss.

The two clash and parry, gasses forcing Antenora back as she aborts her charge, parrying away a slam at her self as she cries, "We need mage support!"

Seira.

"And I am here~"

Grinning, Seira maneuvers into the right spot on a trail of fire that just so happens to trail across the dragon!

"It sounds like you have performance anxiety, and with that sort of thing it really helps to talk to someone. I get plenty of prayers like that-- ah, music does help, so you could try that!"

Sadly, that's all the time Seira has to dispense valuable advice because she's finished gathering her magic and proceeds to explode! The detonation is massive, and burns dragon and summons alike while leaving her allies intact, given fortuitous placement.

Quickened Miracle emulation of Assay SR on the dragon.

The fiery leap is goldenfire, which is the default for me. If I see it being ineffective, I'll turn the effect off for the main blast.

Flames strike out, scorching away. The dragon winces at the goldenfire, eyes open wide as the elemental rumbles, flames bursting amid the gas, starting to burn from the inside out. "OW!" Brass cries, as...

Less confident about getting any sword strikes past that defending elemental, Alicia changes track and blasts them both with a trio of kaleidoscopic blasts of colourful radiance!

Radiant assault, maximised and 2x radiant assault, quickened

[17:40] <@Ebiris> roll 1d20+34 SR radiant assault, maximised
[17:40] <Penuche> Ebiris invokes Penuche's magic: < 49 > [d20=15]
[17:40] <@Ebiris> roll 2#1d20+34 SR radiant assault, quickened
[17:40] <Penuche> Ebiris invokes Penuche's magic: < 54, 46 >
[17:40] <@Ebiris> roll 15d6
[17:40] <Penuche> Ebiris invokes Penuche's magic: < 49 > [d6=4,5,5,4,3,5,5,3,2,1,2,2,1,2,5]
[17:40] <@Ebiris> roll 15d6
[17:40] <Penuche> Ebiris invokes Penuche's magic: < 39 > [d6=1,1,6,1,1,3,2,3,3,5,4,2,2,1,4]

90 damage for the maximised one.

DC 33 will for half, dazzled 6 rounds on pass, dazed 6 rounds on pass.

[17:42] <@Ebiris> roll 2#1d6 debuff duration if SR failed on the maximised one
[17:42] <Penuche> Ebiris invokes Penuche's magic: < 4, 3 >

If 49 didn't beat SR then it's 4 rounds dazzled or dazed from the 54.

Like that the dragon is knocked reeling, dazed by Alicia's light assault. It rears back on its haunches, scales twitching and shaking, entire body prone a moment as the elemental still guards and...

Amaryl.

> roll 5d6 lingering flames on dragon
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 18 > [d6=1,5,2,6,4]

That first.

> roll 1d20+69 aimed at dazed dragon, hoping to get lucky explosive flames used to get the elemental if she can get one through here since SR is a problem for her
<Penuche> Kotono invokes Penuche's magic: < 78 > [d20=9]

The dragon continues to burn as Amaryl squares and fires a single arrow, hissing by - and exploding behind the wyrm, deflected away at the last moment.

Brass is dazed this round.

Init is Alicia (Supreme) > Amaryl (Supreme) > Brass = Breath Elemental (57) > Moore (45) > Oberuth = Antenora (43) > Seira (42) > Jetina (25)
