I'm mostly a lurker. I've started reading fics about... 12-13 years ago. I tried to write a bit, and the people I showed it to liked it, but it's long since been burned, buried, forgotten, and never spoken about again. I like to believe that I'd write again... but I'm not holding my breath. I enjoy reading and theorizing and discussing however. I also enjoy video game theory, design, and collecting video game music. I want to make one eventually. I'm just busy *and* lazy, so it's hard to get something going. :|
The first time I ran into most of you all was when Delphi forums were still up and relevant. I posted a little there, lurked quite a bit, and bid my time. I also spent some time on IRC in #soulriders back when it was on nabiki and when the svartalfheim redirector came up.
I believe I even tried to play a bit of WoW with a number of you guys as well, whenever people were on Silver Hand. That didn't last long for me. >.>
Anyway, I'm here, I'll probably continue to lurk, but if I pop up and say something, try not to be too confused as to who I am. :d

Actually, Latin_D suggested "sin nombre" ages ago when I decided to go with a pen name meaning "no name" instead of using my real one, and "Nanashi" was already in use. I just played with the lettering a bit. ;p Apparently, I'm not the only one who's come up with that twist, either. I've run into it elsewhere on several occasions.

Hello everyone. I'm an extremely insecure writer who often gives up on stories before even completing a first draft. I hope that by joining a community of people with similar interests I'll gain the confidence I need to show my work to others, as well as improve my composition skills.
I'm also intrigued by the idea of roleplaying online. I've been interested in RPGs for quite a while but I've never found myself in a situation where I could join in.

Hello, all. I am a freelance closed caption writer for the deaf and hard of hearing. My current projects are children's shows, including My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic and Littlest Pet Shop. I'm always looking for feedback in everything I do, and a friend of mine, Halbarad, pushed me to inquire about it here.
I'm also interested in writing fanfiction for MLP at some point in the future, and I rather like the feedback I've seen elsewhere on the site. For the time being, I would like to focus on caption feedback.

I approve of closed captioning! I frequently enable it despite not being hard of hearing because it's great for background noise and I'm really used to reading subtitles anyway.

You know, I looked around for an introductions page and I could have sworn there wasn't one. So I have just been posting about, to the annoyance of many, I am sure.
I'm an engineer, office-jobbed, have a house, a dog and a fiance. Neither of the later quite understand my perchance for forums, roleplaying games, or chatting with strangers on line, but love me anyway.
I usually lurk about, watching other play various tabletop games here, read the fanfiction, and try not to make a nuisance of myself, being a fringe poster at best.

after taking a look around, I can't help but feel this place just got...Sad since Brian died. Understandable; he sounds like he was a big part of this forum.
He was one of the big members, yeah. As far as posting goes, Brian, myself and Dracos are probably the biggest three. Losing Brian had a big impact on that.
I post the most, but most of my posts are on the gaming boards where I run games. Brian tended to post more around the boards and much more in the creative writing forums. Those have slowed down the most without him, I think.

Dracos once described this place a fairly sluggish somewhere I think, so it's not as active as some other places. People are friendly and intelligent here though. One of the reasons why I like it.

Yeah, a lot of us are of working age, so the activity moment to moment isn't too fast, but we enjoy the company.
