I'm going to miss the days of the 9th and 11th, two doctor's appointments. The 9th I'll get in some posting afterwards before work, but expect the 11th to be a total miss past the early morning.

I'm going to do a round of posts today or possibly tomorrow, just one each. I'm not in any hurry to do that for a fairly simple reason. I've been putting a lot of oomph into B6, as well as being rested up so I can do that easily. I also intend not to push myself so hard in marginal situations like this, and if I feel like I need a down day or some time, to listen to it. I wasn't so good at that in B3 and I think it really was part of what wore me down so bad.
This goes here as a general notice sort of deal.

Evening session begins in an hour and change, and will probably be light and abbreviated for the weekend round up to get written. I also ran a ton extra since I was off, so I think it's a fair call.
Slept horrifically, up and down all night with stretches of being flat up. This will likely impact things and I may take a nap at some point. We'll see how the day unfolds.

For RL reasons that aren't really any of y'all's fault, I wasn't feeling today's session at all. Simply put, I don't want to DM right now. This sort of stress has taken a bat to my normal DMing drive. So I'm going to take today off and do DM work instead. If you want any particular todos done (check the list), say so and I'll prioritize them once I'm done with Xera.
We're tentatively on for tomorrow, but if I'm still feeling blah I'll take the day off. AT worst, this week is a wash due to RL work drama and a few other bad things coming at just the wrong time. I'm going to focus on DM work tonight, get some progress and see if that vitalizes me.
Good news: I'm feeling better. Had something nice happen unrelated which perked me up, but I'm pretty sure I need more time to deal with work crap. So I'm taking today off for a DM work day. Xera's being worked on and we'll see from there.

I've been moderately below the weather all weekend with a generic cold. So not much got done, so tomorrow is either a sick day or DM work day, but either way no session. Really, the one thing I need to get done is Benyen, most of the rest of it can be managed without it a little while longer. But I really need his stat block coming up, and even if it's a fairly straightforward time, will still take some time.
There's a small chance I wake up, feel great and knock out most of it before session. In the even that happens, we may run after all. I wouldn't count on it, but anything's possible.

Thursday, November 22nd is canceled. Thanksgiving. Likewise, Friday, November 23rd will probably be canceled as well. I'm out of retail so Black Friday isn't it; I'd like a leisurely 4 day weekend after half a decade of dealing with retail on it.

A few notes about upcoming schedule interruptions.
1. I haven't taken a downtime/rest up day in some time. All of my misses have either been family obligations, unavoidable errands or doctor visits. As such a few days are on the agenda within the next several weeks. This won't be a full vacation, probably along the lines of a long weekend instead. If any particular days are good or bad for this for y'all, let me know.
1a. There's no game burnout behind this, purely RL stress. It's been a rough week+ for me behind the scenes. My posting's felt drained at times the last few sessions, which is a pretty good sign I need to recharge. Blame life being life.
2. My next vacation will be in September, probably something like September 5th to September 11th or 12th. It straddles a weekend in the middle due to it being the start of the NFL season. I usually like to focus on Week 1, so I may as well combine a vacation and not be distracted.
3. Speaking of football, here's the likely interruptions from the NFL season.
- Every Thursday from August 8th to August 29th has the Redskins playing that evening. It's preseason so no big deal, but expect a bit of distraction from that. These shouldn't be cancels barring maybe August 22nd.
- Thursdays in the regular season, which is from September 5th to essentially Christmas, have football on. This increases my distraction but isn't critical, but bear it in mind. This also applies to Mondays from September 9th onto Christmas.
- Evening session for September 23rd will be canceled, as the Redskins play on Monday Night Football.
- Evening session for October 24th will be canceled, as the Redskins play on Thursday Night Football.

Not strictly a matter of downtime but more of a general announcement: We're getting brushed by the hurricane tomorrow. There's a non zero chance I lose power for awhile. Heads up in case I vanish.
So as I mentioned in chat, I need physical therapy on my shoulder. I'm going to set these up late as possible to minimize the impact on B6, so ideally it just means I can't run over on PT days. - Both sessions for Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th will be canceled. Happy Thanksgiving! I may run anyway on the Friday as events warrant, but it'll probably be a 4 day weekend for everyone. Hey, long weekends for Thanksgiving shouldn't only be for schoolkids and teachers.
- Both sessions will be canceled on Monday, December 16th due to a bi yearly eye doctor exam. This might be moved, likely forward a bit if possible, but won't be delayed long.

- December 31st and January 1st will probably be canceled but nothing's 100% here. It's the same problem as Christmas, I'll make a call closer to the date, probably in December.
This is the best time of year as far as I'm concerned. From the last leg of summer to New Years, the holiday season is my favorite. Go football, go holidays, go cooling off weather. May it be a good time for everyone.

Update. Dentistry just got rescheduled for the 17th. It's a morning thing so I'll run at least part of the session that day. That frees up the 9th.
We'll start a half hour late today and end a half hour late to compensate. Just have something happening close to 11 30.

First physical therapy was today. I'll start twice a weeks next week but none should impact B6. The only way they will is if my schedule changes or if a session leaves me too pained to DM. I don't see that as likely or at least I really hope it isn't likely.
Friday will be a short and abbreviated session, not sure precisely how so yet. Family's coming down for the holiday and coming a day early, which hits Friday.
If you have something to do or need to be away for Friday, no harm and no foul.
Evening sessions for Thursday, August 12th and Friday, August 20th are canceled. Just evening sessions, day sessions will be unaffected. Football preseason is getting closer. Yaaay.
Current Summer Interruption Schedule
Friday, July 23rd is tentatively canceled. Dentistry and odds are I get a filling and possibly more that day. I'm just going to preemptively take ti off. This may well change so mark it as tentative, we may yet game that day.
Thursday, August 12th is off for evening session only. Football.
Friday, August 20th is also off for evening session. Football.
Tuesday, August 31st is a miss due to a neurologist appointment. I'm going to cancel both sessions that day.

Going to take a slow posting day. I did an early round of posts and will post here and there, but it won't be a regular session.
We're running today, don't worry. However I will start 30 minutes late, unrelated life things. If I run well I'll go 30 over to make it up but we'll see how I hold up.
Okay. Our days will be Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday for B6. I'd like the day off of Thursday in between and it gives me flexibility if I need to reschedule Wednesday or Friday.
Our official schedule is as follows, beginning the week of January 17th:
Monday: OFF.
Tuesday: 11:30 AM EST to 3:30 PM EST.
Wednesday: 11:30 AM EST to 3:30 PM EST.
Thursday: Flex day. See below. If all is good this day is OFF.
Friday: 11:30 AM EST to 3:30 PM EST.
Saturday: OFF. This is the day JC Adventures runs.
Sunday: OFF.
Additionally Thursday is a flex day if needed in case of a Friday or Wednesday being unsuitable.
As of now there won't be any evening sessions. It's possible I make the occasional exception as needed, but as of now I'm in no hurry to overwork myself.
Known Interrupts
1/26/22 (Wednesday) Dentist. The timing is close to session so we'll either start late or cancel depending on how it goes.
1/27/22 (Thursday): Eye doctor. This is the rescheduled appointment from last month. As it's a Thursday this may not impact us directly, but it may result in a day unable to be rescheduled if needed that week.
I'm going to take the rest of the day off. Last week I had decent days but today I'm not having a good day. I could probably run JC today, but B6 feels a bridge too far right now.
It's informative about where I'm at with DMing capacity, I suppose.
Okay, we gave this a shot but I'm rapidly realizing I'm not going to have the focus and energy to run B6 properly. I made it through a decent week okay, but the moment I hit a not so good day I remembered why I paused this game.
I'd like to continue Balmuria in some form, maybe a single player game with one of you (existing characters or new) with a lot less overhead. But for now I think it's abundantly clear that this format isn't going to work with me as I am now. I won't belabor the reasons why, we know them and we know why. Therefore I'm going to pause this game again, this time indefinitely. It's possible that something will change and we'll come back for a finish. Never say never and all that, but I don't see it as likely as of now.
If you're thinking of other formats, maybe you could dedicate a day a week to a player and run stuff just for them that day?
