Armor of the Courageous

This mithral full plate armor+7 grants the wearer immunity to fear. If they are already immune to fear, such as by having a paladin's aura of courage class feature, all allies within 100ft gain immunity to fear. If the wearer has access to the courage domain, the spells of the courage domain are cast with a +3 bonus to caster level. The spells cloak of bravery and greater cloak of bravery are tripled in range, area and duration when you cast them.

This armor has a maximum dexterity 3 points higher than normal, an armor check penalty 3 points lower than normal and an armor bonus 3 points higher than usual. These are all the result of epic skill usages for Craft (Armorsmithing).

Philosopher's Friend

This darkwood quarterstaff+6 grants a +15 competence bonus to Intelligence and Wisdom based skill checks when in hand. The holder's mental abilities expand with the reflections of the ages, granting a +4 bonus to Intelligence and Wisdom. Finally, the staff may cast sequester once per day (caster level 30th), except that the target does not become comatose.

Philosopher's Friend is a minor artifact.

Tears

This adamantine longsword+7 is the crystallization of a warrior's sheer determination to endure through his problems and past this. When wielded, it grants the wielder their Constitution modifier as a bonus to armor class, as well as immunity to ability penalties, ability damage and ability drain to Constitution. The wielder may use Constitution in place of Dexterity for initiative checks.

This weapon has a critical multiplier of x3, one higher than a normal longsword. This is the result of epic skill usages for Craft (Weaponsmithing).

Tears is a minor artifact.

Iddy horror loot

5 giant pearls: Each pearl crackles with electricity and is roughly the size of a man's forearm. They're enormous by pearl standards to say the least. What will you do with them?
Horror scales: These scales can be used to make powerful armor - an armor bonus one higher than usual and an armor check penalty four lower than usual. You have enough to make two sets of armor.
Horror components: The insides of the horrors crackle with electricity and strange energies. You could sell this for 24,000 gold or keep them and develop them into unique material components. Up to you.

First, let's get them valued. Then, let's find out what they can be used for for both equipment and guild purposes.

I want one set for me; I plan to RP building an armor set between pops and Alyssa. Her gear's sorely lacking, so this is a step in that direction. The other, does anyone in the node want a set? If not, then it goes to the guild.

Ugh, I want the money, but... Keep 'em. Let's see what we can do with them.

The pearls are something unknown. However, through various contacts, the guild gets an offer for 60,000 gold per pearl. This is an extraplanar offer.

Jarem will take a set of armor made of it as a memento as well as a resource later, though his current armor is unlikely to be changed since it's good for him.

Okay, you get 40 of the following optional material component.

Thunder Marrow

The marrow from the bones of these creatures is charged with powerful electricity. When used with a spell that deals electricity damage, it adds an extra 1d4 points of sonic damage to the damage dealt.

You also get 60 of the following component

Aquatic Tooth

The teeth of these creatures are powerful components for magic fang and greater magic fang spells. When used with either of the spells, it increases the caster level by 1.

Any way to figure out what could be made with the pearls?

Time and research, mostly. Since you aren't sure what they are, that means it takes effort to price them and account for any unusual properties.

Horizon's Flute

This plain flute pushes back the seemingly impossible and makes them a little more possible. When played by a bard who succeeds on a DC 40 Perform (Wind Instruments) check, it grants a single listener the following benefit. When a creature who hears this makes a skill check, a natural result of 20 automatically succeeds, so long as a sufficiently high skill check can succeed. While it doesn't allow the truly impossible, anything just short of that can theoretically be done with this. You can't take 20 on a skill when under the effects of horizon's flute.

Each usage of this ability counts as a daily use of bardic music.

Horizon's Flute is a minor artifact.

Might talk to a golemsmith and again see an ice crafter if there's one available. Doesn't need RP unless you feel the need for it.

Sure. We can sort this out OOC a bit later, though. For now, back to thread.

Tryll Loot

Heart Finder Ruby

This ruby is worth 80,000 gold by itself. Additionally, it can be used as focus to help locate any Heart Rubies that are present on a plane. Spin the arrow and it'll point you in a direction and glow pink if there are Heart Rubies to find. If there's multiple, it points at the closest. The enchantment is designed to collapse after it is used to find two rubies and it will not function in Brightwater.
