He described it as disbelief given way to confusion, panic and some considerable arguments with the Hellish representatives at court."

[Corwin]

"Amaryl gave me the heads up the other day," Seira voices. "Does Zaaman Rul feel we should use aggressive diplomacy against the Sultan at this time?"

[Anastasia]

"That's the other part - he wants to meet with you," Donald says, "Perhaps we can get a favorable settlement in light of that, or at least some concessions."

[Corwin]

"Invite him over," Seira decides. "We'll play host this time, and an avatar is fine. Ask Romiel if he is able to do the same. Perhaps we'll find fresh insight this way."

[Anastasia]

"I'll see to it," Donald agrees. "Anyone else?"

[Corwin]

"Please ask for Istishia to send a representative, but we'll keep them separated until a consensus had been reached. The rest of our friends can be contacted at that point, but doing so now would be premature."

[Anastasia]

Donald smiles a bit, "Ooooooh, now that's interesting. What should I tell her?"

[Corwin]

"That I would like a consult from Water's perspective, considering recent developments during the Abolition War. Istishia's edict ensures there are no other possible candidates, after all, yet someone needs to advise us as to Water's interests."

[Anastasia]

Donald nods and lets it go at that and...

It's a day of generic progress, seeing more of the same unfold. A day of needed steps, not the most interesting but essential to progress. Simply tying up loose ends, establishing the next phase and so on and so forth.

You do feel you're getting more of a grasp how dense this is. How it accounts for everything, including the feelings and even hopes of others, tying them into the greater calculation iwth a machine like coldness and precision.

How insidious. Can you quantify hope, god of inevitables? Seira decides, however, that she might be getting too heated about this and opts to try for a different angle. There are a number of potential black swan events, and she looks at the Prophecy with an eye for how it predicts and then accounts for those she has personal knowledge of, before tackling the entire mechanism for such.
