Just watched Trigun: Badlands Rumble (trigun movie). Even if it was formulaic, it was a fun movie filled with nostalgia for me.

The only thing it was really missing was Vash going "Love and Peace!" at some point.

But it had the black cat, wolfwood, the insurance girls, fun gun chases, wackiness from Vash and others, a fun soundtrack, and the animation was very reminescent of the late 90s. All in all, a fun experience.

Over my Christmas vacation, I discovered a Haruhi/Kyon fic by Brian that I'd somehow overlooked. It was a fine Christmas present.

Isn't it strange what sticks in your memory and what doesn't? I don't remember my brothers being born, I don't remember what I had for dinner a week ago, I don't even remember the last time I went swimming in my grandparent's pool. Yet I remember the first time I saw an episode of Sailor Moon. I remember the channel, the time and why I was watching it in the first place. Hell, if I think about it I think can I remember the episode it was.

(Yes, I know this is bait for a flotilla of jokes.)

That said, I wonder why some things stick to you and others don't? I had a dream of metal nachos when I was 8 years old, it's stuck with me all these years.
