The Sword I impulsively bought off amazon arrived today. apparently something went wrong when they were shipping it so the estimated delivery date was from August to September. I pleasantly surprised.
I'm going to need your signature for the metric ton of whoop-ass you're about to receive.

Cool. I've always wanted a sword, but practicality plus money has always shied me away from it. It's the sort of thing that sounds cool, but really, what I am going to do with a sword?

I have a large collection of swords.

They sit in a bucket.  You may have read of them in certain AU games.

They have almost never been even decoratively relevant since I got them over the years.  Aside from wall hanging, swords are just a pointless (and difficult to store/transit) collectable.

I got laid off.

Then I got rehired at the same place, for 2.8x the salary.

After eating two months of severance payments.

Yay!

But it could've worked out way worse than it did. And being too busy job-hunting to mod the AA during that time was partially to blame for Kestral leaving fanfiction writing, apparently.
