Appearance
Karuma Mitsurigi is a reasonably attractive young woman seeming to be in her early twenties, with an appearance that blends Asian and European traits. She stands only a bit taller than the Japanese average, about 5'7", and seems to keep herself in fine shape, body nicely toned all over yet still keeping its set of warm feminine curves. Her face is slightly angular, bearing high cheekbones and piercing slate grey eyes above a pert little nose that contribute to a rather haughty appearance for the most part. The only real distinguishing mark is a small beauty spot below her left eye. Her bluish-slate hair is typically kept short, falling just to her mid-neck behind her and with its bangs swept to the side of her forehead lest it fall down in front of her eyes.

Background
Karuma was born to rather well of parents. Her father a vice president at Suzuki Heavy Industries, and her mother a wealthy refugee from Germany who had fled to Japan amid the collapse of her own country. The two came together as the Third World War raged, marrying and concieving their child as the world seemed to lurch towards apocalypse. Amazingly, civilisation survived, and Karuma herself was born not long after the last bombs fell.

Sadly, cracks began to show too soon as their fear driven coupling turned into a lifelong partnership, Karuma's father spending more and more time at the office to escape his familial obligations, while her mother became more and more neurotic as she found herself ill suited to the Japanese lifestyle. Somehow their marriage stumbled along for a decade or so, but arguments when they did occur became more and more heated, eventually escalating into violence.

Karuma was fourteen when things changed forever. Drunk after entertaining some wealthy clients, her father got into a vicious fight with her mother, which Karuma soon found herself dragged into, used as a pawn between her feuding parents as they hurled abuse at one another. Then, on the balcony of their extravagant home on the suburbs of Tokyo, her father struck his wife, her head impacting the tiles with a hollow thud as she fell, neck at an angle far too wrong...

She never quite knew where her powers came from. Perhaps a chance mutation of being concieved during the radioactive shooting match of World War 3, perhaps the fickle attentions of a passing Kami, perhaps just even a brilliant young girl who pushed her mind too far and finally found a strange strength in the snapping of it.

All she knows is that as the knowledge of her mother's death at her father's hands registered, Karuma felt the power at her command, instinctively lashing out at her father perhaps before he himself even had time to comprehend what had occured.

In the absence of any other evidence, the police had no reason to question Karuma's story of her father killing his wife, and then hurling himself off the balcony while temporarily insane with remorse.

Orphaned, Karuma was made a ward of the state until she reached the age of majority, upon which she would inherit her parent's not inconsiderable estate. During that time she tested the limits of her strange mental powers, always in secret for fear of what could become of her if it became known. She harboured no illusions about being used as a weapon by any who understood what she was capable of, but if she was to be a weapon, it would be on her own terms...

It wasn't until she was seventeen and already living on her own with the proceeds of her inheritance that she began her current career, knowing that her inheritance wouldn't last forever, and completely lacking any traditional morals, she set out to become an assassin.

Not just any assassin, though. With her strange powers she could kill at a distance, never having to lay hands on the victim or hold a weapon in her hands. Her mind was her weapon, and an incredibly potent one it was. Styling herself as the 'Left Hand of God', she created a website hidden behind layers of proxies and false addresses, using it for her clients to contact her so that she may carry out their dark-hearted desires, the vast majority of her victims appearing to be nothing more than freak accidents to the public eye, victims of a capricious higher power...

==========================================
Background

Ahhh, Nanayo Matsumi. That girl had everything to be a shining jewel in the world. Born with stunning beauty and latent intellectual brilliance (not to mention a few magical gifts), she was sure to make it in the big city. However, her parents were nice, but dimwitted fellows living a low-middle class life far away from the capital. Little Nanayo's potential was sure to be wasted by that condescendent, small-thoughts middle class lifestyle in the post-war. And her brightness was rarely noticed by her parents. Thus, she grew resentful and overly ambitious. She wanted a more rewarding and lush life, even if she had to kill for it. All her magic had to be arduously hidden from her parents, and practiced with caution. And the lack of formal teaching was unnerving at times.

At least, her parents were mindful enough to give Nanayo a chemistry kit when she was around 12. The little girl was entranced by the sheer potential she could achieve with mix and match. As she tinkered continuously with that "toy" for years, she realized that it could be her ticket to the life she dreamt... or, at the very least, an appealing shortcut. To her parents, the dedication which led her to spend so much time with those formulae was the sign of a future doctor in the making, and Nanayo would sheepishly accept the designation they threw - fool the blindfellows, remain in glee.

And the life went on by for the girl until college. She had brutally high grades, and got accepted into a New Tokyo university. However, her parents couldn't really afford her stay in the capital even with a scholarship. Thus, she had to make a hard living. For a while, she worked as a magician's assistant to at least eat and have a shoddy apartment. Those were hard years, and Nanayo's ambition just grew stronger and more bitter. She grit her teeth and reminded herself she'd have her break soon. Meanwhile, she picked a few prestidigitation tricks at her job, and perfected her chemical and magical prowess, preferrably maximizing her poison manufacturing. Her heyday was about to come...

At her last year of Chemistry college, Nanayo met Kazuo. He was rich, not overly old and quite a strong businessman in New Tokyo. And he fell in love for Nanayo's intelligence and looks. Nanayo... well, his bank account was enough for her to overlook anything else. As soon as she graduated, they got married. It was her chance.

After the honeymoon, Kazuo was found dead on his bed, and no signs of his merry wife to be found - and his bank account cleared. There were no traces of any chemical substance in his body, shrouding the tragedy into a curtain of mystery. For keeps, the police checked a file on Nanayo as a potential suspect.

Three years passed, and the death of a renowned New Tokyo businessman was forgotten.

At the same time, a woman named Chizuru Takematsu started claiming the attention of a few circles in the city. Brilliant, wealthy, astoundingly beautiful, with a degree in New Tokyo's most acclaimed university, she quickly rose to popularity. Since her rise, two years have passed, and her notoriety remains the same: busy agenda, men dying (maybe literally) to get her number. Quite the life.

And the little girl Nanayo still smirks in glee from Chizuru's piercing eyes.

==========================================
Appearance

Chizuru is 167cm tall, with shining, long red hair, a slender, mind-bendingly attractive body with a surprising amount of curves. Her face leaves nothing to be desired to the rest of her features: angular face, with astounding proportions and a confident, somewhat malicious complexion. Deep, piercing purple eyes complete the package. She isn't ridiculously chesty, but her breasts are above average, and probably ridiculous to your average japanese woman.

For clothings, she is often seen wearing her labcoat or typical businesswoman attire: blazers, tailleurs, long heels with discrete, dark colours. For the night, however, she is far more alluring: she enjoys wearing long dresses that draw her body silhouette to even more astounding proportions, preferrably in a brilliant red. She also always wears a small golden necklace with an amethyst carved to it.
