Really.  Thank all of you for putting up with my lame ass attempts at GMing as long as you did.

I had a great time, and I hope all my players (even those I screwed over) had fun while it lasted.

I'm dissapointed that it couldn't continue any further, but honestly, at this point, I also realize that I'm pretty damn close to not really caring about the game anymore, because the game is based on the players.  And the players....

Well, thanks for the memories, and I think we  should leave the board up for a week, maybe two, for any last-minute deleted scenes posts.

I'll probably get around to finishing up the entire director's commentary later, unless someone else wants to try and take over the game (which is probably possible, though, I doubt anyone would want to, at this point).  Anyway.

I'll be availible on Friday evening, as my Apocylpse! campaign isn't running this week.

Also, since I should have mentioned this earlier, I would like to make this thread open for constructive criticism, as well as any outright complaints about me as a GM.  I don't plan on running any games for a good long while, so any feedback now would be most valulable, as it would give me time to take it all into consideration before trying my hand at another game.

My personal observations about this game were that I tried waaaay too hard, and made it waaay too big, and involved too many people with waaaay too different schedules AND posting rates (not to mention expectaions -- sorry, Shade.  I feel I really did you a disservice.  You too, Uns. :/)

I feel towards the end that there were too many NPCs, and way too much was happening at once.  I could keep track of it, but I think I may have overhwlemed my players, which in turn caused the game to bog down.  Realistically, I should have steamlined things much better so that the players could accomplish things instead of being overcome with just how much CRAP I was throwing around.

Your thoughts?

I can't say I'm not dissapointed, Bri. Personally, I thought you were doing a great job, especially given the amount of time the game lasted and how *quickly* posting seemed to move; two marks to me of a great game.

I wouldn't be so quick to disparage yourself, either; I'm pretty sure everyone who played in the game had a fair amount of fun.

Nobody is a perfect GM, but so few people are good GMs that when one does appear, I really don't want to see them cut themselves up over it. I think you should congratulate yourself; sure, you might not've actually completed the game, but damn, it was great fun to all concerned while it lasted.

I'll second C-Rat's remarks. I have to admit, I never saw this coming - the game seemed to be taking a bit to regain its prior momentum after the break, but posting was still leaps and bounds above any other games on the board.

I really enjoyed following this game all the way through, and while my part in playing it wasn't so large, I liked it and was looking forward to seeing how things would develop.

You had a very ambitious campaign concept, and as far as I saw, you were doing a good job of realising it. The game might not have reached a conclusion, but it was still a heck of a ride.

I suppose the point about NPC bloat is a valid one - I had trouble keeping track of who was all in Bigfire after Ryan, Carlos, and Jim, but I didn't really see it as game-breaking. It's not like I expected to be chained to a gaggle of NPCs for the remainder of the game, after all.

In any case, thanks for providing so much entertainment GMing this game, and good luck with anything else you might try in the future. I know if you offered to GM a new game 'round here, you wouldn't lack for players.

Brian

...and now you can all come back.  I was lassoed into running this again, so let's see how long we can keep it afloat.  Nyar~!

You May Continue This Game

Hangin' out backstage, waiting for the show.

Try NOT to get me killed, please? ;_;
I am a terrible person.
Excellent Youkai.

Bjorn

No one kills the Dreamers but the Dreamers themselves.

This is practically a fundamental rule of the campaign at this point.

Dracos

Player two, inserting coin.

Internet isn't really existing yet, but I'll do what I can.

Dracos
Doesn't appreciate random characters spewing from his keyboard.  Weirdness.
Well, Goodbye.
