I want to encourage that the ship is your ship.  Its your reflection to the world and while you'll steal some and change some, feel free to make it exciting as you can :)

...Our "ship" is a boat.  With a half built catapult.  Unless you're feeling generous and I get some lucky rolls with ship repair, it would be better for us to upgrade to another ^^
