"That's a good show!" Flasheart voices his approval, taking hold of the overlong rope that dangles over the side of the crusher and proceeding to tie a number of evenly spaced knots along its length for easier gripping while shortening the excess. "Now, lets give this a go!" he exhorts heartily as he attempts to climb up onto the surface of the crusher.

Anastasia

Eb's taking ten.

The rope strains under the bearable weight of Lord Flasheart, but he makes it to the top of the first crusher! It's surprisingly solid, bearing his weight better than the rope did! It's sloped a little tricky to walk on!

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Ebiris

Using the suspended chain to help his balance, Flasheart walks along to the far end of the two crushers and then jumps down back onto the walkway!

deliberately jumping, so falling damage for 10 feet is nonlethal. Nothing if I can make a DC 15 jump check which I'll attempt

Anastasia

Lord Flasheart jumps ahead! As he does, he comes onto something odd! He doesn't go down! He lands on something in thin air - however, it's slippery!

<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d20-1 DC 12 (+2 due to being unexpected) balance check --> [ 1d20=15 ]{14}

With supreme poise, Lord Flasheart lands in midair, arms out as he balances! To everyone, as proof stares them in the face, they see it! A third crusher appears in the line, Lord Flasheart right on it!

Ebiris

"Ohh!" Flasheart reaches out to grab onto the chain suspending this new crusher. "I say, how devious!" More carefully now, he walks to the end of this third crusher and leans down to carefully test the air beyond to see if there's another invisible deathtrap.

Anastasia

The air ahead of Flasheart seems quite empty and safe.

"Well, I think we're safe at this point," Lord Flasheart deduces as he hops down and waits for his companions to catch up.

Jumping down as outlined one crusher ago

Anastasia

<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d20 DC 15 JUMP! --> [ 1d20=17 ]{17}

With once again infinite poise, Lord Flasheart leaps down to the floor safely!

Sacchin follows the man's movements without preamble.

Taking 10 as well. Um, what was the jump check for? Aren't we just falling straight down once we reach the end?

Jumping Down

If you intentionally jump from a height, you take less damage than you would if you just fell. The DC to jump down from a height is 15. You do not have to get a running start to jump down, so the DC is not doubled if you do not get a running start.

If you succeed on the check, you take falling damage as if you had dropped 10 fewer feet than you actually did.

That's what Eb attempted to use. It hasn't really been relevant before now.

The rope buckles as Sacchin climbs it, but she makes it to the top as well! Using the chains for support she is able to scale the crushers! At the end she attempts to drop down next to Flasheart!

* Hatbot --> "Endless_Ko_Spiral rolls 1d6 and gets 6." [1d6=6]

20/26, Sacchin.

She lands akwardly, twisting her ankle! But she's down and safe, even though it hurts!

Euphemia follows, only in light of Sacchin's mishap, she decides to free up their rope and try to tie it to the other end, so that she'd have a better chance at getting down safely.

Dex mod is +1, str mod is -1, don't have the actual skills.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

* Hatbot --> "Kowork rolls 1d20 DC 15 and gets 17." [1d20=17]

No damage. I'll look up that nonlethal thing after work.

Euphy leaps down and joins the other two. Thus the three advance ahead, down a small stair. There is an archway ahead, a large wooden door blocking the way. There is a large  metal pull-ring in the center, crackling with blue-purple electricity.

Flasheart asks their flying companion to retrieve the rope from the chain before they advance. "I say, I'd wager that would sting," he remarks upon seeing the pull ring. "Perhaps if we hooked a rope through the ring we could use that to pull it open without receiving a nasty shock, what?"

Carthrat

"Or kick it over."

Sacchin scrutinizes the door, in particular whether or not it seems sturdy.

[19:14] <Candide> My brain caught up

Anastasia

Your flying friend goes and gets the rope! Meanwhile, Sacchin can see that the door looks moderately sturdy. It's wooden and large, but it's not particularly invincible looking or anything.
