In summary: "Reliable intelligence suggests there's a cache of eternal wands in a Cannith lab in Eston. Yes, in the Mournland. Here's the rough map we got out of the guy before he expired. Do try not to die."

Dec 20 19:17:47 <GM>   Eston is across a lake from the Thranish town of Aruldusk, which is large enough to be on the lightning rail.

Dec 20 19:18:51 <GM>   Once there, acquire a boat and cross to the city. The map is pretty vague; you won't be able to tell how much use it'll be until you get there.

Dec 20 19:38:13 <Alis>   "Hmph,"  Alis was leaning back against the center of the boat, his hat over his face as he sat, ignoring the trip mostly and the grey mists.  There wasn't much of a view, so it was a fine time to rest prior to being active in Eston.

Dec 20 19:38:49 *   Sim glances towards the warforged, a confused expression flitting across her face briefly. "I am no mage."
Dec 20 19:40:16 <GM>   Behind you, the boatman mostly keeps his peace as he poles the barge closer to the other shore. He figures you're paying for his services and the risk, not for his conversation.
Dec 20 19:41:12 <GM>   But, as you cross the halfway point, he can't really resist. "Been hearin' word of things marchin' through that town," he says. "Who knows what kinda things, neither."
Dec 20 19:42:28 <Sim>   "Things?" the half-elf says drily, clearly looking 'displeased' with the rocking of the vessel.

Dec 20 19:43:41 <Karu>   "Hm?  We're prepared for that likelihood" the Kalashtar serenely responds, laying back with eyes closed as he enjoys the ride

Dec 20 19:48:11 *   Alis stands up, pulling his hat back on his head as he slipped his hands into his pockets. "Pay the man," He walked to the edge of the boat and hopped off onto the shoreline, looking around.

Dec 20 19:51:47 *   Sim takes a few moments to take some deep breaths and regain her composure from the harrowing vessel trip across the slightly-rough-and-foggy lake as she slowly moves inland.
Dec 20 19:52:54 *   Alis moves silently, his footsteps barely heard on the ground and it fairly easy to lose him already in the mists in his dark clothing.  He's bundled up well, so he doesn't notice the wind so much.  Being a native of a northern island nation helps there.

Dec 20 20:02:22 <GM>   Well, Sim and Karu, you recall that Eston was a large R&D center for House Cannith in the closing years of the War, and that none of their staff escaped on the Day of Mourning. In the early years of the peace, a lot of treasure hunters made their way to the town, and sometimes fought over it, but usually came out empty-handed.

Well-made but simple furniture, now smashed, and in some cases, burnt, judging by the firescars on the flooring. Anything valuable has long-since been stolen. And yet, something's not right. The three rooms don't take up enough space to fill the house, given the dimensions you saw on the outside.

Dec 20 20:51:59 <GM>   It's a large room; perhaps twenty or thirty feet on each side. Lots of padding on the walls. And, at the far end, two warforged are examining the contents of a crate.

Impulse asks of his fellow warforged, as the thought occurs to him. "Really, why is he called the Lord of Blades? That doesn't bring a lot of options, now does it? Why not Lord of the Mournelands? I am certain that would carry claims further, would it not?"
Dec 20 21:08:08 <GM>   "These items are our birthright, crafted for us when we were made as slaves," the other warforged responds. He's got a deeper voice, and the wood of his frame is more scarred. "Now that our enslavers are gone, we have come to claim them." He waves Impulse over. "You may examine them, if you wish."
