Jul 06 19:32:02 <Kotono>   After a night's rest everyone goes to visit the wizard! The Air Elemental leads the party inside, but not to the same room as before. This room is colder, six slab beds of ice. One is large enough for Kamvakua, two are small enough for Yulia and Adail. The wizard is awaiting here, staff in hand and a chill gaze. "Each of you take one of the slabs, let's not tarry at this."

But it seems the fruit of the lich's tree does not fall far." With a gesture as the party sits down on the chill ice, "I do not hold it against any of you, for it was not your action that condemned you to this quest." With a chill gaze at Nikkolai, "You as well, wizard."
Jul 06 19:44:16 *   Nikkolai takes a deep breath before replying, "I have already paid for my mistakes and apologized for it. I even explained WHY I made such a grievous error. If you will not accept it, then cease talking of it, wizard. What's done is done. Nothing will change it. You will cease needling my companions for my mistake."

He annoints each of you with super-chilled blood, a single drop from each of his ten fingers. It's far colder than ice, liquid turning into a thin crust that merges into your flesh. Once it is done to all, he calls, "Hear my words and obey, for the weight of your destiny is nigh! Go to the Icedrop Mandala! You are to retreive the books of lore you find there, as well as a crown of cold and a robe of frost! Thereafter you shall return to me and give them to me, completing the geas!"
Jul 06 19:51:40 <Kotono>   Each of you feel a deep connection to one another, as if gossamer chains have formed between you! The wizard then relents, stepping back. "The geas is laid. Listen well." Reaching into his robes, the wizard withdraws a frozen, ice laden skull. "The skull of Seneschal Hoar. Speak the name Icedrop Mandala thrice and it shall pull you in the direction of it once on Cold."
Jul 06 19:53:43 <Kamvakua>   "As we are now into this, through the thick and will regardless bring back the treasures that you seek, can you tell us more about the Icedrop Mandala, so that we can prepare for success," Kamvakua stomached his anger at the man.  This was for Nikkolai, who had in the past suffered for his benefit in turn.  It was better to succeed than to be angry.

While dangerous, there is no one point of assured combat or difficulty. Only travel and relative chance."

Early in the third day you come to where the air has little floating pieces of ice.  Ahead you can see far thicker ice in the distance, a deathly cold wind blowing.

Jul 06 20:38:15 *   Kamvakua focuses on keeping watch, with likely only him and Adail able to see easily in the dark and icy winds.  "It's not bad at all really."  Kamvakua was well wrapped up in heavy furs around his large form, long travel giving more experience in putting up with this kind of stuff.
Jul 06 20:38:29 <Kotono>   Tusky does not seem hindered by the cold at all as he travels on. As you pass through the thick choking ice, you see a plain of ice. It's perhaps 200 to 300 feet long. In the center a maelstrom of loose ice spins, howling winds coming from it. Not far from it you see two of them - huge things, blue skinned giants with axes. With them are several tiny blue things flying about in the Air.

A few handfuls of gauze and a loincloth keep her charms out of sight, but neither those nor the scarves that swirl about her provide much in the way of insulation. Ten foot tall drifts lean against the tall ice pillars, which are 30ft tall at least, too tall to see the top of. There's medium creature sized paths leading into between the pillars.
