031.5 Aaeru, Andrea and Janson

[19:41] <Kotono> ---
[19:46] <Kotono> Ah the return. Andrea and Noel return, finding Silver minding the shop. IT's quiet at the moment, the fey sprawled out over a glass case and lightly snoozing. She opens one eye half master, "Joossaaa upstairs," she yawns. "Probably eating, knowing him."
[19:48] <Andria> Andrea nods to Silver, thanking her. "Has anybody else has come back yet, Silver, or are we the first?"
[19:49] <Kotono> She yawns titanically, "Mmm, think I might've heard Janson. Maybe." She yawns again. "Mmm..." Her eyes drift shut again as she curls up, over several loaves of sweet bread.
[19:52] <Andria> Andrea nods again, and heads upstairs, leaving Silver for her nap.
[19:54] <Kotono> Upstairs you find Josa, closing the supply cabinet as you come up, "Ah, you've returned in good time! Tell me, is Mr. Farzahd happy now?"
[19:57] <Andria> "Not yet, though he seems interested enough for now. The party he wants to host is going to be tomorrow night," Andrea explains. "My storytelling skills weren't 'extraordinary' enough for him, but he seemed interested in combining that with a magic show, so I just wanted to see if we could get some of the others to help with setting up some magic, make things more interesting."
[20:00] <Kotono> "Ah, Janson should be back in and so is Simmer, though she's not here right now," Josa says, "Ah Janson, return," he calls out, "Wayland is gone for the next week, on a caravan guard to Parsifal. Aaeru may be busy, she hasn't checked back in yet."
[20:02] <Ebiris> "Janson, return?" the ginger-haired man mouths with an odd look on his face as he comes up the stairs from where he'd been puttering around the back of the shop. "Oh, hey Andrea, Noel," he nods to the pair. "How'd your job go?"
[20:04] <Andria> "Oh, hey Janson," Andrea waves at her friend. "It's still going. The client wanted entertainment for a party tonight, we were just talking with him about what kind of show he'd be happy with, and decided to do a bit of storytelling supplemented by magic to make things look more impressive."
[20:05] <Andria> "Came back here to see if any of you guys were freed up and could help. Are you done with the cat?"
[20:06] <Janson> "And twelve marks richer, for it," Janson asserts with a somewhat false smile. He shrugs afterwards, "Ms Windee's happy and her cat got a boost, so I guess everything ends well. How do you need help?"
[20:09] <Kotono> "What kind of magic and storytelling? Illusionary figures, to better weave the believes and mystical wroughtwork?" Josa inquires.
[20:09] <Andria> Andrea raises an eyebrow, feeling there's a story behind Janson's expression and the cat, but chooses not to ask. "Well, what kind of magic can you do beside summon up swarms of critters? I don't think that particular trick would win points with Farzahd's guests, but I want to pick a story to tell that we could make impressive through use of magic."
[20:10] <Andria> Andrea nods at Josa. "Those kinds of things, sure, and just effects, like gusts of wind, the sound of thunder, or whatever? I'm not sure yet, still haven't even decided on a story, honestly."
[20:10] <Janson> "I can't actually summon them anymore!" Janson replies brightly. "I did this ritual where I summoned all the spiders and let them bite me all over, and now I can climb walls like a spider can! But I can't summon them anymore."
[20:11] <Kotono> Noel suddenly shakes all over, "You LET them do that?" His color turns to that of a white sheet, "Those spiders?"
[20:11] <Andria> "That's...kind of nasty sounding? Did you have someone look at your bites for poison?" she asks, a little weirded out by that idea.
[20:11] <Aaeru> "That's just terrible, Sylvie!" Aaeru protests, climbing up the stairs with her fellow blonde. "Don't even joke about it!"
[20:11] <Janson> "No, it was fine," Janson waves it off, "I absorbed their magic power, not their poison. It stopped hurting after the first few minutes, and all the marks went away afterwards."
[20:12] <Kotono> Sylvie's voice can be heard, "Well, if that did happen, would it surprise anyone? No one who spent the day with him would ever convict you of it!"
[20:13] <Aaeru> "That's a miscarriage of justice if I ever heard one!"
[20:13] <Andria> "Your magic is very, very disturbing, Janson...." she replies, shaking her head. "The wall climb trick could be useful I guess...what else?"
[20:13] <Kotono> "Curious magic," Is Josa's observation, pausing as Aaeru and Sylvie enter, "Ah, superb timing! For you see, Andrea's job requires magical support."
[20:13] <Janson> "Hey you two," Janson gives the new arrivals a brief wave before refocusing on Andrea. "Anyway, my magic doesn't really work for the impressive sounds and visuals. You saw my bit with the hand made out of rock, that's about the most visual one I've got. And it wouldn't work indoors."
[20:14] <Andria> "Oh, hey Sylvie, hey Aaeru," Andrea waves at the pair before nodding at Janson. "Was worth asking though."
[20:14] <Aaeru> "But... she has magic," Aaeru says in confusion. "Doesn't she?" Coming to her senses, she smiles at Janson, returning the wave.
[20:15] <Andria> "Some, Aaeru, but as Mr. Farzhad wants an 'extraordinary' show, as he likes to put it, I figured checking all of the options available for magic wouldn't be a bad idea. Most of the magic I know is about luck or healing, too."
[20:15] <Janson> "I'd offer to sing, but that didn't go over well last time, either," Janson adds to Andrea with an apologetic shrug. "I guess I'm not much of a performance artist."
[20:16] <Aaeru> "I can blind people with sparkles," Aaeru offers.
[20:16] <Andria> "Don't sell yourself short, I still enjoyed your show that time when we were advertising!" Andrea exclaims.
[20:16] <Kotono> "I can sing, and I could contribute in a few magic sounds, maybe," Sylvie says, "It's not hard to learn that magic, I think I could wing it."
[20:16] * Janson beams at Andrea. "Really? Well if even one person did, I'll call it worthwhile."
[20:18] <Andria> Andrea smiles back at Janson before nodding back to the other two girls. "Well, light shows and sounds would work. Oh, Josa, any new potions with fun effects also?"
[20:19] * Aaeru looks at Sylvie uncertainly. "But we already have a job...."
[20:20] <Andria> "OH! You're not done? I'm sorry, I just assumed," Andrea quickly says. "I'm sorry, if you're too busy, I do think I could try to figure things out with just Noel too, or maybe Janson and Simmer. Don't worry too much about it."
[20:21] <Aaeru> "We weren't fired after the first day or anything...."
[20:21] <Kotono> Sylvie shoots a glance at Aaeru, "How about we have hima long then? Maybe a wholesome story and keeping busy will help him? Or at least keep him quiet."
[20:21] <Janson> "Having some special candy to hand out during a performance would probably win over a doubting crowd," Janson suggests, looking at the self-proclaimed Candymancer. "How's your job going, anyway?" he then asks Aaeru and Sylvie.
[20:22] <Kotono> "Very well, such is the cost of happy customers," Josa declairs.
[20:22] <Andria> Andrea laughs at Janson's comment. "Hey, that's a good idea, Janson. I always forget about the candy."
[20:22] <Aaeru> "We are babysitting an angsty teenager," Aaeru responds. "I think that's how Sylvie put it. It's very adequate!"
[20:23] <Janson> "Sounds miserable... oh! Hey!" Janson suddenely brightens. "Aaeru, Simmer and I were both wondering, and you'll know. What's the difference between the Triad and the True Triad?"
[20:28] <Aaeru> "Well, you already know I follow Ilmater," Aaeru responds, gestuing to the red cord bound around her wrist. "He is one of three gods that work together, so there's that name. But the thing is, you know that terrible Torm? All with the fire and the hateful fury? Before he got all like that, he was part of the Triad. Well, obviously he got kicked out after he went crazy, and then Helm took his place. I guess the Triad must have the three deities or its name doesn't make much sense?"
[20:29] * Janson nods. "Yeah, we got that part. We just weren't sure if the 'True' Triad was the one that included Torm or the one that doesn't."
[20:29] <Kotono> "Right," Sylvie says, "It's to differentiate from the old Triad with Torm."
[20:30] <Aaeru> "Oh, that? The true is the one now!"
[20:30] * Aaeru nods firmly. "No Torm in our true Triad. Nope!"
[20:31] <Janson> "Got it. I wasn't sure since 'True' might mean the ones that are actually nice, or it might refer to the original," Janson explains his confusion. "Anyway! Sorry, Andrea, didn't mean to get everyone distracted."
[20:32] <Andria> "It's fine. I always like to hear stories about the gods," Andrea says. "And I have plenty of time to figure how to set things up anyhow."
[20:33] <Aaeru> "I didn't mind," Aaeru says, before facing Andrea. "I believe that what I'm doing is very important, and I don't know if it would help to bring someone like our charge along, either. But if you really need my help, I could... try to make it work... somehow...."
[20:34] <Andria> "Thank you, but really, don't trouble yourself over it. I did have a few ideas already, since I wasn't sure if any of you guys were going to be free by now or not."
[20:36] <Aaeru> "Best of luck, then!"
[20:39] <Janson> "I can help with things like setting up the stage or anything else you need behind the scenes like that," Janson offers to aid to the limit of his abilities.
[20:52] <Andria> "Sure. One of my ideas if I could rope people into it was to tell the story sort of like a small play, silent actors going through the motions in the background as I narrate the story while magic makes things look more impressive. I guess with you and Noel, and maybe Simmer we could still pull that off, even if we'd rely a little less on magic..." Andrea muses outloud.
[20:53] <Janson> "That could be fun!" Janson agrees eagerly.
[20:57] <Andria> "Do you know where Simmer is? I'd like to ask her if she'd be interested in helping," she asks Janson, since he was the last one with her.
[20:59] <Kotono> Thus Aaeru and Sylvie slip away for now...
