[22:36] <KotonoIbis> Elle is found at her shop, watching Alice position a bright, scale covered set of full plate armor. It glitters when sunlight hits it.
01[22:38] <Seira> "Ostensibly, I came to ask you about a few spells," Seira tells Elle, joining her in watching Alice work. "My old spellbooks never progressed into the fifth circle. It was only a recent breakthrough for me."
[22:39] <KotonoIbis> "Sure. Did you lose your old spellbook with all of that," Asking that as she makes a hold it gesture to Alice, "What ones do you want? Teleport's a given, I assume?"
01[22:42] <Seira> "Teleport is a good one. I was able to master Cloudkill and Telekinesis, and the Cone of Fire spell. That's not a very imaginative name, is it? It is a cone. Of fire. Very simple and to the point. So is Cloudkill, I suppose, but Cloud and Kill sound weird together yet strangely intimidating."
[22:44] <KotonoIbis> "It is a little odd of a name," Her smile fades as Seira goes on, "Why don't we go sit down in the back instead of standing in here? Business hasn't been busy today anyway."
01[22:45] <Seira> "We could do that," Seira readily agrees. "I'm fine with sitting now."
[22:47] <KotonoIbis> Lead into the back, Elle pours Seira a glass of wine and puts it besides her. "Damned Sharrans. I heard the stories about Erenholm...they're complete monsters."
01[22:48] <Seira> "Shar wants all of us dead," Seira says with a strange note of cheer in her voice. "Not just dead. Destroyed for all of time. Everything, entire civilizations, entire planes of existence. I saw that wish."
[22:49] <KotonoIbis> There's a looong silence there, "So Lord Drake was right? You did see Shar's domain?" Elle's voice is hesitant, cracking.
01[22:51] <Seira> "I remember it more clearly now after the very nice priests helped me. Some sort of mental damage, was it? Sometimes things are clear, and sometimes, not so clear."
[22:56] <KotonoIbis> "I'm glad...Mystra, that place must be horrible," Elle shivers all over, rubbing her arms as if a ghost touched her.
01[22:56] <Seira> "There was also that other place. Something there that took interest in me," Seira continues, not noticing Elle's shivering. "I think it was a god. Or goddess? But whenever I try to recall, the awful howling makes my mind go blank and I'm numb from the cold. I'm sure it will come back to me in time, though." Seira forces a smile. "I'm lucky, right, to have had two deities so interested in me?"
[22:58] <KotonoIbis> Gently now, voice caring and soothing, "Do you remember anything about that place? The cold place with the howling."
01[23:00] <Seira> "I killed a winter wolf there. With fire! And there was a giant, and many horrible things. But would you believe the thing I was most afraid of was the cliff? Being grounded is so horrible, Elle. You can't imagine it. I tried to jump off the balcony to get away, and something in me refused to move. If I didn't manage to hide, if only they checked more thoroughly, that would be it for me."
06[23:00] * Seira tilts her head. "Does your soul go to Shar if they sacrifice you in a ritual?"

[23:06] <KotonoIbis> "I don't know," Elle admits, "At least you got away...that's a horriblef ate."
01[23:07] <Seira> "Someone will take my place," Seira says, suddenly sad. "The blood around their altar was fresh. And there was a lot. The stains were terrible."
[23:11] <KotonoIbis> Gloomily now, "Don't talk like that. You're alive, that's what matters."
01[23:11] <Seira> "I came here to stay with you!" Seira blurts out. "Can I, Elle?"
[23:14] <KotonoIbis> Blinking, "You can stay here as long as you want."
01[23:16] <Seira> "I want. It's very hard to stay with Donald, because I feel like killing him all the time. I don't think I'm supposed to, and I like you a lot because you're my best friend."
[23:19] <KotonoIbis> "Alright." SMiling at that...OOC - I need to pause here for work. Do you have any questions you wanted to ask Elle?

[16:35] <Kokokoko> Gilartal the Prosperous is found at the temple to Waukeen. His attention is outward, looking out his window at the sunny weather. He seems distracted, lost in thought as Seira enters his chambers.
01[16:37] <Seira> "So, nice weather we're having," Seira says, coming over.
[16:40] <Kokokoko> "Hm? Seira." Turning away from the window, blinking away a reverie, "Sorry, I've had wool trading for the coming winter on my mind all day."
01[16:44] <Seira> "I had getting a loan so I could kill the bad people in mind. Is the wool trading profitable enough to make both of us happy?"
[16:45] <Kokokoko> "Not really, but it's good for getting your foot into the door of every practical market in the region," Answering that as he looks up, "A loan, eh? How large of a loan do you have in mind?"
01[16:46] <Seira> "As large as you can make it," Seira responds. "Either I'll return it with interest soon enough, or... actually, that is the only option."
[16:51] <Kokokoko> "Mmmm." Looking upwards as he thinks, Gilartal gets up. He gets a pen and paper, scribbling down with an ink quill briefly. "You're a member of the faithful and in very good standing with the temple. I can give it to you at a flat 10% interest rate; 25,000 gold in collateral and coin, since the temple is booming. That means you'll need to repay 27,500 in coin to absolve the loan."
06[16:54] * Seira shrugs. "I didn't really come to haggle. This would be enough to get me on my feet as far as living expenses are concerned."
[16:55] <Kokokoko> "I'll have someone draw up the contract." A nod to that, "And what a life you live, when that much money only gets you on your feet!" Smiling now, "The Golden Lady blesses you."
01[16:57] <Seira> "I used to find it funny, too," Seira agrees. "Any news, aside from that? Or an opportunity I could be of help with?"
[16:58] <Kokokoko> "Nothing too pressing at the moment, no." Folding his hands together, "Mundane works from Valandia being further incorporated, but that's been going on for awhile and will continue going on."
01[16:59] <Seira> "So it seems. I won't take up more of your time, then, Gilartal. I'll return a bit later to sign that contract?"
[17:02] <Kokokoko> "Good fortune and wealth onto you," He says, "May Waukeen gild your path with wealth and opportunity." OOC - Where to next, Seira?
06[17:03] * Seira certainly intends to turn that blessing into a reality. Her next step is to go and see Elle.
[17:04] <Kokokoko> Elle is found at her shop, as is quite usual. She's in a discussion with a bearded middle aged man. The man is plump and richly dressed, occasionally slapping his belly's side. Elle smiles politely enough to him. As Seira enters, her eyes straying to her, "Well, the order's simple enough. It'll be a few weeks, so I'll have a Sending sent to you when it's done, as we agreed?"
[17:05] <Kokokoko> "Oh-ho, that would be marvelously superb," Waddling as her turns around, "I want the finest one money can buy."
01[17:06] <Seira> "Well, he certainly came to the right place," Seira notes once the human walrus has left. "Was it an interesting order, or something mundane?"

[17:08] <Kokokoko> "Amulet of Health," Making a face once he's gone out the door, "He'd be better off losing 50 pounds instead of relying on magic, but he's rich. Who am I to complain about fools and money?"
01[17:08] <Seira> "Yes. Waukeen tells us they are soon parted."

[17:09] <Kokokoko> "It seems to be." Coming around towards Seira, "We'll have to talk out here, Alice is off today so I'm minding the shop."
01[17:13] <Seira> "We can talk here," Seira agrees. "I just came from the temple, and I'm pretty sure magic's done all it could to put me back. But I still need the means to even things out with those bastards. Can you help me? I need a loan."
[17:14] <Kokokoko> Elle goes quiet there, "Well...I suppose, realistically, you'll end up spending most of the money you gather up on gear here?"
01[17:15] <Seira> "It's not money. I need equipment that won't lose to what I had, and I can't go to the garrison for that."
[17:17] <Kokokoko> "That's what I was getting at. I can loan you some equipment." Going behind the counter again, getting out a list, "Here's the current inventory. Is there anything that strikes your fancy?"
01[17:23] <Seira> "The belt and the cloak," Seira says. "We both know flight would fail with me, and none of the weapons are those I'm particularly familiar with, sadly. I'll have to try and rely on magic to boost what I have there unless I can find a suitable longsword to borrow. And I think it's painfully obvious I need all the luck I can get, if that's an option."

[17:35] <Ko-Saulfangirl> "Expensive tastes," Elle murmurs, checking another sheet of paper. "Alright, though you owe me for this. When this is all over and thigns get back to normal, I'll have you do something for me."
01[17:38] <Seira> "Even if things don't go back to normal, I'll still do anything for my friends," Seira tells her honestly.
[17:40] <Ko-Saulfangirl> "Good. I'm letting you go off with enough merchandise to buy a small country, so I won't forget that." Nodding to that there, "Please don't lose any of it."
01[17:43] <Seira> "I don't intend to return without it," Seira affirms. "And if I don't go out on a limb to try and make new friends anymore, I don't think anyone would get close enough to take me prisoner again."
