[22:14] <Kotono> Once the others are gone, the three wise men sit together. After a few moments, Tepen clears his throat, "So the question is...where do we begin from here?"
[22:16] * Muirfinn sighs. "We cross-reference the time angle with divine studies and hope we get lucky, I suppose."
[22:29] <Kotono> "It's a start," Sage Vul'lath pauses, reclining back, "Of course, we have avenues available that mere scholars lack. Gentlemen, the Planes are our oyster, and we have the magics to harvest it."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Corwin

[19:48] <Muirfinn> "I suppose we do at that. If it cannot be found by us, I have doubts that it can be found at all." Muirfinn nods.
[19:50] <Kotono> "I can cast magic to divine the will and knowledge of the Planes," Vul'lath continues, "Contact Other Plane is not without risks, however."
[19:54] * Muirfinn nods. "We can all protect each other while we do this."
[19:55] <Kotono> "Yes. Should this spell fail I will be stricken dumb," SAge Vul'lath smoothly continues, "I will require potent magic to regain my facilities. Usually a wish is sufficient to do so."
[19:57] <Muirfinn> "I...lack the capabilities for that spell. Tepen?"
[19:59] <Kotono> "I can manage a wish," Tepen speaks up, "Can you heal me after I cast it, Muirfinn?"
[19:59] <Muirfinn> "I can."
[20:04] <Kotono> "Then let us begin," Sage Vul'lath rises, taking chalk out of his pocket. Clearing away tables, he begins to draw an intricate pentagram on the floor. He draws little squares around the center, and in each one he places a gem-inlaid tile. Each one looks to be an image of an elemental or outer plane.  Once done he sits in the middle of the circle, "The only question is to which plane or
[20:04] <Kotono> entity to contact. Do you have any suggestions there, colleauges?"
[20:06] <Muirfinn> "Are there gods of time?" Muirfinn wonders. "I've never heard of such, though I have wondered."
[20:08] <Kotono> "No." Sage Vul'lath says, then hesitates, "Not to our ken. In some traditions it is said that LAthander or Selune have influence over time. Others claim that Azuth has a contract to monitor time. But, even if deities do have power over it, the Temporal Compact likely makes it irrelevant."
[20:10] <Muirfinn> "Hmm...we would be searching for a being able to circumvent the Compact altogether then? Or shall we seek another angle with which to crontrol the blade?"
[20:15] <Kotono> "Well, for answers, we have to remember that the stronger the entity contacted, the more likely for both truth and mental destruction," Sage Vul'lath replies, "I can manage 8 questions."
[20:16] * Muirfinn nods. "Are we prepared then?"
[20:17] <Kotono> Tepen inclines his head, "Then we only have to devise 8 questions to ask."
[20:21] <Muirfinn> "Of course. I think the first question should simply be, 'Do you know of a way for mortals to control the Blade of Endings?'"
[20:22] <Kotono> "Yes. We start from there, and refine the questions  as best we can from there," Tepen replies back, "If not, we ask if it knows of anyone who does."
[20:23] * Muirfinn nods. "Precisely."
[20:25] <Kotono> "I will work from there," Sage Vul'lath says, beginning to chant, "Quiet now, I must focus."
[20:33] <Kotono> Sage Vul'lath chants, the chalk outline taking on a ruddy light! Then...!
[20:34] <Kotono> roll 1d20+8
[20:34] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d20+8 and gets 22." [1d20=14]
[20:34] <Kotono> Sage Vul'lath gasps, but maintains perfectly still posture! In a voice overlaid with another, he speaks, "Contact established. I am asking now."
[20:42] <Kotono> Silence for over a minute, and at last Sage Vul'lath exhales. He wearily blinks and rises, "It is done." he announces, going back to sit.
[20:44] <Muirfinn> "Ah, what have you learned?" Muirfinn leans forward eagerly.
[22:15] <Kotono> "The first question was if he knew of a way to control unmatter. The answer was yes," Sage Vul'lath relates. "I asked him he knew how I could find such information and he replied yes. I then asked if contacting the proper clergy could lead to this knowledge becoming known to us, and he said yes.  I asked if we could make a more direct exchange of information, and he said yes. I asked if a
[22:15] <Kotono> proper offering to one of his temples was sufficient and he said yes." Stopping there, "We need to donate 10,000 gold to a temple of Azuth, and in return we will get information about unmatter."
[22:17] <Muirfinn> roll 1d20+24 KR who the hell is Azuth again
[22:17] * Hatbot --> "Muirfinn rolls 1d20+24 KR who the hell is Azuth again and gets 31." [1d20=7]
[22:20] <Kotono> Azuth is the Lord of Spells, a servant deity to Mystra, Mother of All Magic.  He oversees spells, wizards and other such related things. He is the archetype of the old, wize wizard.
[22:20] <Kotono> *wise
[22:21] <Muirfinn> "Ah, yes. I'm sure we can procure funds from the Aurora for this purpose."
[22:27] <Kotono> "Then we'll get those and I can take a quick trip to get the information," Sage Vul'lath rises, "Shall we, gentlemen?"
[22:30] * Muirfinn steps forward. "Indeed."
[22:30] <Muirfinn> OOC: Grabbing money and planeshiftig to Brightwater, where I'm sure we'll find a cleric
[22:32] <Kotono> The trio heads to Brightwater, searching for a cleric of Azuth! OOC: Any of you have training in GI?
[22:32] <Muirfinn> OOC: Yup
[22:33] <Muirfinn> roll 1d20+25 GI
[22:33] * Hatbot --> "Muirfinn rolls 1d20+25 GI and gets 44." [1d20=19]
[22:33] <Kotono> OOC: GI check then. The other two'll aidja.
[22:33] <Kotono> roll 1d20+2 Tepen
[22:33] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d20+2 Tepen and gets 5." [1d20=3]
[22:33] <Kotono> roll 1d20 see if Vul'lath is in the ballpark before bothering with checking his mod
[22:33] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d20 see if Vul'lath is in the ballpark before bothering with checking his mod and gets 15." [1d20=15]
[22:33] <Kotono> OOC: 46 total.
[22:36] <Kotono> Easy enough. While Tepen gets distracted by a rather pretty little thing in a red dress, Muirfinn and Sage Vul'lath find a shop. Across the top it reads, 'Azuthian Magic' abovet he image of an open book. "Ah, here." Sage Vul'lath says, "At the least bit, we should find direction in here."
[22:36] * Muirfinn nods.
[22:37] <Kotono> Going inside, you find books, potions, rods, staves, wands, scrolls and more! All float in midair, not a single shelf ot be found or anything keeping them up. Sitting in midair is an old man with a long gray beard, rubbing his forehead with one gnarled old hand.
[22:39] <Muirfinn> "Ah, greetings." Muirfinn bows at the waist to the old man. "These are my companions, Tepen and Vul'lath. I am Muirfinn. Could you perhaps help us locate the clergy of Azuth?"
[22:40] <Kotono> "There's no need, friends," Rubbing his head as he floats on over, still sitting, "For some reason, you seem to be in Azuth's good books. I'm fighting off a post vision headache. The scroll you want is right over there," he points at one floating scroll, "You can leave the donation here, I'll see that it's delivered."
[22:42] <Muirfinn> "How convenient." Muirfinn remarks, leaving the donation in the form of a large sack of gold and taking the scrool. "A fine day to you."
[22:45] <Kotono> "A fine day to you, sir mages," he greets back. Sage Vul'lath nods, and as you head out Tepen asks, "So we're in Azuth's good graces, hm?"
[22:47] <Muirfinn> "That's nice to know."
[22:48] <Kotono> "One would like to know why," Tepen replies. "You wouldn't happen to be in his favor, would you?"
[22:49] <Muirfinn> "To be honest, I don't cast arcane magic and know relatively little about it. If anything, I would expect him to know of the two of you."
[22:49] <Kotono> "I hold no special regard for Azuth," Sage Vul'lath replies with a frown crossing his yellowed face. "A mere mystery, but a fortunate one."
[22:51] <Muirfinn> "Perhaps one to investigate at another time." Muirfinn allows, unrolling the scroll and reading a bit.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

[20:05] <Koaway> > OOC: Okay, the scroll info was posted in nagging. Any idea what to do next, Muirfinn?
[20:05] <Koaway> <Muirfinn> OOC:
[20:05] <Koaway> <Muirfinn> OOC: I was thinking of us doing a series of Planar Bindings and requests from celestials, then I figure we can procure the common materials from anywhere. The unmatter might require more research though.
[20:05] <Koaway> <Muirfinn> OOC: I also figure that if we can get any of the obscure ingredients from Brightwater, it'll save us some hassle.
[20:06] <Muirfinn> OOC: Also, I was thinking maybe we could get some unmatter from a Sphere of Annihilation if we could find one?
[20:06] <Koaway> OOC: Okay. Which of these do you wanna try first?
[20:07] <Muirfinn> The simple stuff first. Let's get the metals and whatnot.
[20:07] <Muirfinn> OOC:
[20:14] <Koaway> OOC: The noted metals and gems with GP prices can be purchased without incident. Just post those in loot.
[20:15] <Muirfinn> OOC: okay, then we will move on to the more obscure ingredients, finishing up with the unmatter.
[20:16] <Koaway> OOC: The various outsider bits and pieces?
[20:16] <Muirfinn> OOC: Indeed.
[20:17] <Muirfinn> OOC: I'm assuming that we can just ASK for the celestial bits.
[20:17] <Muirfinn> OOC: The demon/devil bits we'll either have to buy or take by force.
[20:20] <Koaway> OOC: Asking via bindings or actually finding one and aksing?
[20:20] <Muirfinn> OOC: If we have trouble finding celestials in Ysgard or Brightwater, I'd think we'd have a big problem. >_>
[20:21] <Koaway> OOC: Okay. Then which one are you looking for first?
[20:22] <Muirfinn> OOC: We'll go down the list. Solar->Tome Archon->Tulani Eladrin

[20:25] <Koaway> OOC: Make a GI check?
[20:25] <Muirfinn> roll 1d20+25
[20:25] * Hatbot --> "Muirfinn rolls 1d20+25 and gets 30." [1d20=5]
[20:25] <Koaway> roll 2d#20 see if they add, will look up mods if it's close
[20:25] * Hatbot --> "Koaway rolls 2d#20 see if they add, will look up mods if it's close and gets Error: Number of sides must be integer greater than 0."
[20:25] <Koaway> roll 2#1d20 see if they add, will look up mods if it's close
[20:25] * Hatbot --> "Koaway rolls 2#1d20 see if they add, will look up mods if it's close and gets 9." [2#1d20 = 7, 2]
[20:32] <Koaway> Searching for a solar isn't too hard. Going to Brightwater leads you along...until you find yourselves drawn. Drawn ahead, into a simple, quiet and quaint little storefront. There's nothing remarkable about it at all - no sign, only an open door and dusty glass window.
[20:57] * Muirfinn heads inside, fearing nothing in this pleasant city!
[21:03] <Kotono> Sage Vul'lath and Tepen follows, the latter starting to speak - but stopping as within, you find a pleasant, dusty store. Shelves of little knick-knacks are about, nothing remotely interesting on a glance. Sitting in the back at a desk is a celestial creature. A humanoid that sheds light to illuminate the entire shop, wearing robes of golden cloth. Six wings come from his back, as he writes
[21:03] <Kotono> in a large book. Without looking up from his writing, "You seek something unusual to have come here."
[21:08] * Muirfinn nods at the angel. "We seek a number of unusual things, actually. Our search has first lead us here. We hope you can help." Muirfinn says.
[21:13] <Kotono> "It's why you've come here," Continuing to steadily write all the while, "Tell me what you need."
[21:14] <Muirfinn> "The first item on the list is a feather from a solar.
[21:14] <Muirfinn> "
[21:18] <Kotono> "I know," he agrees with a calm equinamity, as Tepen studies the solar curiously.
[21:18] <Kotono> roll 1d20+33
[21:18] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d20+33 and gets 48." [1d20=15]
[21:19] <Kotono> "Wait, are you-" Tepen begins, "I've heard of you. A solar commanded by Waukeen to record every transaction all across Creation."
[21:32] <Muirfinn> "Ah!" Muirfinn exclaims, "Perhaps you can help us complete our list then!"
[21:37] <Kotono> "Certainly. I've been recording many transactions from Aurora," he observes as he continues to write, acknowledging Tepen. "The outsider parts can be provided, all 8 of them. Before that, I ask that you find a worthy, new shopkeeper and add him to Aurora. Someone who offers something new and exciting, that will further vitalize trade."
[21:39] <Muirfinn> "Something we don't have, mmh..." Muirfinn taps his beakish snout. "Perhaps a jeweler?"
[21:41] <Kotono> "I am personally skilled at gemcutting," Sage Vul'lath speaks up, "If only to save myself the absurd markup that gemcutters demand. Where I more attached to money, that business would have me rich many times over. Still, I have no time or inclination to run an actual shop."
[21:42] <Muirfinn> "Would you know someone who would? Surely you have known other skilled gemcutters in your work."
[21:44] <Kotono> "...no, actually." Pausing to shake his head, "The ones I knew were fellow gith, and disagreements over prices lead to a few rather bloody feuds. The ones who survived want nothing to do with me now." So observing that with a dry cough, "It is what lead to me learning the craft."
[21:47] * Muirfinn raises an eyebrow. "...very well. Perhaps we can find one here. I'm sure one here in Brightwater would be interested. If not, perhaps we could find on on Mineral."
[21:47] <Kotono> "Then our task is simple," Tepen says, "We find a worthy jeweler here and convince him to set up in Aurora."
[22:39] * Muirfinn nods. "Shall we be off then?"

[22:42] <Kotono> OOC: Going to GI on gemshops and jewelers, then?
[20:48] <Muirfinn> OOC: Yup. One or two rolls?
[20:48] <Kotono> OOC: Just one. They'll aid you.
[20:48] <Kotono> roll 2#1d20 I'll check mods if it's close aids
[20:48] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 2#1d20 I'll check mods if it's close aids and gets 12." [2#1d20 = 10, 2]
[20:48] <Muirfinn> roll 1d20+15
[20:48] * Hatbot --> "Muirfinn rolls 1d20+15 and gets 33." [1d20=18]
[20:49] <Kotono> OOC: +2 to your roll for a total of 35.
[20:49] <Muirfinn> OOC Plus 10
[20:49] <Muirfinn> OOC Wrong mod
[20:49] <Kotono> OOC: 45 then.

[22:57] <Kotono> Jewelry and gemcutting! Something in abundance in Brightwater. Gems from across Creation come here, both finished and unfinished. Some talking around leads you to find out one thing - you'll need a guide for this. Fortnately, one can easily buy a guide in Brightwater. The man who tells yo uthis is a half elf, sitting in a bar listening to a strange, blue skinned woman sing. "Do yourselves
[22:57] <Kotono> a favor," he speaks up, "Most of the guides for the gem market make easy marks of out of towners like you.  You'll need to go to a good, quiet group that doesn't fuck around."
[22:58] * Muirfinn nods. "We would appreciate not being taken advantage of."
[23:05] <Kotono> "Indeed," Sage Vul'lath murmurs.
[23:06] <Kotono> "Name's Porino," The man nods, "I know mages when I see 'em. I can give you the name of a damned good group and a reference to get you in. Need a favor, though. Small one for mages of any skill. Can any o fyou dispel curses?"
[23:08] * Muirfinn taps his beak. "I cannot, but my friends here are of more of an arcane persuasion."
[23:17] <Kotono> "I can do so," Sage Vul'lath speaks up, "It is not a difficult thing."
[23:20] <Kotono> "Thank you," Nodding and holding up one hand, you can see his ring finger has a heavy iron ring on it. "This thing here won't come off, it's magically cursed. It gives me great agility, but at the cost of being unable to smell or taste anything. It's just not worth it to me." Tapping the ring against the side of the table, "I can't afford a cleric to undo it right now, either."
[23:28] <Kotono> Sage Vul'lath nods, drawing a circle in the air, gem-dust appearing in his wake! He chants a few words, and the ring slides off the half-elf's finger! "Aaah..." he sighs and rubs his now ringless finger, "Putnam's over on Glittergold Avenue," he says, "Tellt hem that Porino sent you to see the light."
[23:34] <Muirfinn> "Mmmh. You should see about getting that ring destroyed. Cursed items have a habit of coming back to haunt you when you least expect it."
[23:36] <Kotono> "Good advice," Scooping up the ring with a hankerchief - he pauses.  "Say, interested in buying this from me?"
[23:37] <Muirfinn> "Buying?" Muirfinn raises a scaly eyebrow. "It is cursed."
[23:37] <Muirfinn> "Are either of you interested in studying it?" Muirfinn looks at the two wizards.
[23:39] <Kotono> Tepen shakes his head, while Sage Vul'lath replies in a dry voice, "Cursed items are of little value and less use. Thank you, but no. Good day, Porino."
[23:41] <Muirfinn> "Luck to you then, good man. Perhaps you will find someone who values their senses less than their agility. Thank you for the help." Muirfinn heads off, well-directed!
[23:46] <Kotono> As you head back out, looking for Glittergold avenue, "One thing puzzles me," Elder Magi Tepen speaks up, "Surely if the ring was paining him, he could convince one celestial or another here to remove it. Remove Curse is entirely a common ability for them to have."
[23:48] <Muirfinn> "Perhaps...he was a thief? He may have angered the local celestials, or done something else to irritate them."
[23:49] <Kotono> Now Elder Magi Tepen frowns entirely, stopping. "I have a sudden desire to return to friend Porino and discuss this with him, at length."
[23:50] <Muirfinn> "Yyyes...perhaps we should." Muirfinn says, turning about.
[23:56] <Kotono> "Indeed." Sage Vul'lath coughs into his hand, "Offending the locals may be unwise."
[23:56] <Kotono> "Truly!" Tepen adds, making haste back towards where you were!
[00:00] <Kotono> Returning to where you are, you find Porino sitting back with a mug of something warm and steamy. He sips it and looks content, listening to the bardsong from the blue skinned woman.
[00:01] <Muirfinn> "Say, Porino...we were wondering why you didn't go to one of the many celestials around this city to get the curse removed. Surely any number of them would have been happy to help you for no fee."
[00:10] <Kotono> "Heh, heh." Grinning a moment at that, looking back and forth, "Well, y'see..." he drawls out, "Okay, look. I direct powerful visitors to them for various things - including the gem market - and I get a commission. Now don't get me wrong, they're really good at what they do! The advice is fine! The ring and all of this, it's just a part of the routine. A spell doesn't cost you  much of
[00:10] <Kotono> anything to cast, does it?""
[00:14] <Muirfinn> "You...put the ring back on again?" Muirfinn asks, incredulous. "More than once?"
[00:18] <Kotono> "Uh yeah." Coughing and rapidly lowering his voice, "Um, don't tell the celestials here, but I sort of well...lied just a little bit," Holding up two fingers just the tiniest bit apart. "It is cursed, but it's cursed only to never come off! Got it myself to sell the routine better."
[00:18] * Muirfinn gives him a flat, reptilian look.
[00:19] <Muirfinn> "Admitting to the lie isn't really making us want to trust you."
[00:22] <Kotono> At this moment Elder Magi Tepen speaks up as well, "Be that as it may, perhaps a confessional visit to one of the more honesty minded angels here is in order?"
[00:32] <Kotono> "Ah." Looking between that, "Splendid idea!" Rising, "I think I'll go do that now!" nodding to them, "Good day, good day!"
[00:35] <Muirfinn> "Right. Let's move on then." Muirfinn says, then lower as the man walks away, "Even if it turns out we were wrong, we have done our due dilligence."

[00:37] <Kotono> OOC: Going to follow the tip or do something else?
[00:41] <Muirfinn> OOC: Sure we'll follow the tip, what the hell.
[00:43] <Muirfinn> OOC: It's not like we're wandering blindly through the city of Dis or something.

[00:53] <Kotono> Putnam's is a quiet little shop tucked into a relatively quiet street of them. By Brightwater's standards that means expansively huge shops with only mildly overdone decorations. A door of pure glass leads within, a pretty, slender and busty white haired girl with golden skin at a desk up front. Around is some art ande several doors leading further in. "Oh, welcome to Putnam's!" she calls,
[00:53] <Kotono> looking up. Her hand stops, but the quill she let go continues to write. "What can I do for you, sirs?"
[00:55] <Muirfinn> "Porino sent us to see the light." Muirfinn says.
[00:57] <Kotono> "Alright!" Smiling now, "We'll take care of you. What particular business do you need?"
[00:59] <Muirfinn> "Actually, we're looking for someone who might be interested in joining us. We have a small operation that is steadily growing ant thought we could use a jeweler to brighten the place. Perhaps you've heard of the Aurora?" Muirfinn asks.
[01:01] <Kotono> "That I have!" Snapping her fingers, "The old Medicant, right? Well sit yourselfs down right over there." She gestures, and after a moment, several deep, stuffed chairs appear. "A jewelry jeweler, a mixed jeweler, or a purely magical jeweler?"
[01:06] <Muirfinn> "I'd like a mix of simple and magical jewelry. Not all of us can afford the magical kind, and I think the common soldier would enjoy the idea of an available jewelry shop." Muirfinn says. "Wealthy or not, people like to adorn themselves."
[01:07] <Kotono> Sage Vul'lath nods a moment later, "Yes, variety is good. Our needs are myriad."
[01:08] <Kotono> "Certainly, sirs." Nodding her head towards that, "I can set you up with someone magical for a small finder's fee of 1,000 gold."
[01:09] * Muirfinn tilts his head to the side and blinks for a moment before nodding. "That is acceptable."
[01:10] <Kotono> Tepen starts to speak, but Muirfinn beats him to it. Instead he smiles slightly, and the woman is all smiles. "Thank you very much. I'll go get Dad, he'll help you with the rest. Just make yourselves comfortable."
[01:16] <Kotono> The woman is not gone long. She returns with another - a ghaele eladrin, firm of grip as he shakes each one's hands. Hehas the same white hair and an infectious grin, "Moonmaiden's blessings on your Aurora," he greets, "I've heard about you! The scuttlebutt is that you personally insulted Marshall Dagos awhile back."
[01:18] <Muirfinn> Muirfinn's scaly eyebrown wrinkle as he looks at the eladrin quizically! "I'm sorry...who is Marshall Dagos? I've not been with the Aurora from the beginning, I'm afraid."
[01:19] <Kotono> "Ooooh." Elder Magi Tepen quickly clears his throat, "I am the senior officer here," he xplains, "Elder Magi Tepen."
[01:19] * Muirfinn kindly shuts up and sits back!
[01:23] <Kotono> "Marshal Dagos, one of the Dark Ministry. Minister of the Infernal Denomination of Strategy. In other words, THE commanding officer dealing with Hell's army and the Blood War." Smiling just a little bit, "Anyone who pissed off one of those horrible creatures is alright with me."
[01:23] <Muirfinn> "Oh good, someone who deserved it." Muirfinn nods.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Corwin

[20:16] <Kotono> "Amen to that," the ghaele replies, "Despite the name of the shop, I'm not Putnam, though you can call me that if you'd like. So...you're looking for a jeweler? I confess, I thought what you'd be looking for is a little different."
[20:16] <Muirfinn> "Oh?"
[20:23] <Kotono> "I thought you'd be looking for warriors or support for war.  With the enemies you have, I would assumed you'd become interested in my services or that of one of my children."
[20:23] <Kotono> "Your children?" Sage Vul'lath asks, with a dour look.
[20:25] <Muirfinn> "Well, we are always looking for able-bodied and willing warriors who seek to prove themselves against the forces of Hell." Muirfinn says.
[20:29] <Kotono> "They're natural crusaders, all of them," the ghaele replies with a warm smile and hint of fatherly pride. His chest puffs out, "Yes, be it on the Prime, punishing evil in the name of Selune and the moon, in the Inner Planes helping ensure Air and Water remain pure, or in the Outer Planes helping the forces of Good."
[20:33] <Kotono> "I see." Elder Magi Tepen hums a moment, "We have no quarrel with more aid, certainly."
[20:34] <Muirfinn> "Selune." Muirfinn muses, tapping his beakish lip, "I believe they would be in good company with the lycanthropes from Ysgard. Don't they follow Selune as well?"
[20:35] <Kotono> "Correct," Tepen agrees, "There is no organized clergy of serious note with them, and the reverence is mostly wild."
[20:36] * Muirfinn nods.
[20:43] <Kotono> "Mmmm." Humming a moment, "Balyss would fit, but she's a little bit tied up right now," Frowning softly, "That entire business with...well, nevermind that, no sense spreading word about an unrelated tussle with the Abyss. Stille may be a better choice," Humming to himself a moment, "Of course, there's normally a requisite payment fo services rendered. It IS Brightwater, after all, though
[20:43] <Kotono> it goes to good causes."
[20:44] <Muirfinn> "Name your price."
[20:52] <Kotono> "My children all share an unique trait - they're born as aasimar and not full half celestials. Some develop the traits in the fullness of time, some do not." Drumming his fingers a moment, "Balyss is an aasimar cleric and Lunatic of Selune, as well as a Silverstar. In addition, she is also one of Selune's favored souls, able to cast magic purely from her favor as well. Stille is a sanctified
[20:52] <Kotono> warrior of Selune who constantly learns new things and darts around. He knows a little something of everything, blending it into a unique style. The chaos is strong in that one. For Stille? 25,000 gold. Balyss is in a difficult position...she would need to be coaxed into it, and require someone to take up where she left off on the Prime. But still, I've wanted her to expand her horizons
[20:52] <Kotono> for some time now. For her, 50,000 gold."
[20:56] * Muirfinn looks at his companions. "Think the girls would kill us if we dropped 75,000 gold on these two? I'm really tempted to do it." he says, amused.
[20:59] * Muirfinn looks back at the man. "We do also need a jeweler willing to set up shop on the Aurora."
[21:00] <Kotono> "I'll do that for another 5,000 an dspare you the trouble of looking," is the answer you get.
[21:01] <Kotono> Elder Magi Tepen smiles a bit, "That would be a large chunk out of our operating fund. It would be best to involve the rest of command with it, or at least one of the Generals. Still, good help is hard to find otherwise..."
[21:02] <Muirfinn> "Perhaps a Sending to one of them? It's rather silly to trek there and back again."
[21:06] <Kotono> "I don't haver one prepared," Sage Vul'lath speaks up, and Tepen shakes his head as well, "Do you?"
[21:08] <Muirfinn> "No." Muirfinn says. "Home it is then."
[21:09] <Kotono> Elder Magi Tepen sighs considerably, "Well, now I feel like I made the classical mistake of not tooling my spells to the task at hand. Amateur hour."
[21:09] <Kotono> "Truth," Sage Vul'lath grumbles.
[21:09] <Kotono> Your host merely nod, "Come back with word of your choice then, friends," Offering his hand out to all three, "I look forward to making profit with you under the moonlight."
[21:14] <Kotono> On returning to Aurora, the hour is late and rest is the order of the day. The next morning the trio meet, to find others. They meet in the hall, besides the portals. "I haven't seen any of them this morning," Tepen says, "We'll have to track them down."
[21:18] * Muirfinn nods.
[21:19] <Muirfinn> "Where would they be, I wonder?" Muirfinn thinks for a moment. "Let's check the cafeteria first."
[21:19] <Kotono> "Which means," Clearing his throat a omment, "Elena!" Elder Magi Tepen calls, the girl appearing. She's dressed up like a cleric, "Yes?"
[21:20] <Kotono> "Or that," Sage Vul'lath says coolly, "Convienent."
[21:20] <Muirfinn> "I always forget about that." Muirfinn laments.
[21:21] <Kotono> "Where are the commanding officers?" Tepen asks, to which Elena half frowns, "Well um..." Looking down, "Jaela's sort of stuck in the infirmary after yesterday, and Afina's there visiting..." Blushing a bit, "Ithea's tied up right now. Gisfal's training the troops, and Adrian is talking to Hanna right now."
[21:23] * Muirfinn looks concerned. "What happened to Jaela?"
[21:24] <Kotono> "A bad breakup. A really bad breakup," Elena hangs her head, "She'll be okay at least, and it's my fault too." Literally sinking into the floor with her head hung, "Um, I should go do some more repenitence."
[21:27] * Muirfinn looks...confused for a moment. "A breakup?" He looks at Vul'lath and Tepen.
[21:30] <Kotono> Elder Magi Tepen shrugs lightly, "What happened?" she asks, as Elena sinks into the floor and out of sight. "...that damn vampire," he utters darkly, "She finally abused Jaela's nature too far."
[21:32] <Muirfinn> "Oh. Oh! The vampire. Annalise, yes? She and Jaela must have spilt up. Sometimes I...well, nevermind that. Irrelevant. Perhaps we should...?"
[21:34] <Kotono> "Let's just wait a little while before business," Tepen says, "How about we get breakfast first?"
[21:35] * Muirfinn nods. "An excellent idea."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake
