<Kotono> Ah, another day. Wake up, bathe, eat breakfast, gird yourself for war. Each member of the team heads to work. Oh sure, work requires going through an abandoned goblin tunnel to a long lost mystical island. The Illusory Isle is misty, a ring of six towers. Tents are about. You see Boney rolling around in a field of mushrooms, tongue lolling out. The Boss is waiting with crossed arms, "You all
<Kotono> rested up and ready to bring back some more riches?"
<Xyoria> "Not really, but there's no way else to get paid, is there?"
* Holly bows respectfully to her superior. "Yes sir, we are."
<Kotono> "More or less," Nodding to both of them, "Where the hell is that damn sorceress," The Boss mutters in irritation, "For that matter, where's Devon's relplacement?"
<Holly> "Perhaps they have overslept," Holly suggests, not everyone being as diligent about their work as she is. "Shall we search the tents and rouse them?"
<Bamba> "Never trust an arcane caster to do work!" Bamba declares. "All those books rot their brains, when they could be out in the world experiencing life!"
<Kotono> "Aye," The Boss nods, "Well, do you three know what tower you're gonna get?" He looks to each, "You did read the scouting on them, right?"
<Holly> "I...do not recall being provided with any such documentation," Holly says respectfully.
<Bamba> "I would opt for the first tower myself, that or tower 3. Something good must be there to make goblins and other critters be so happy!" Bamba readily suggests.
<Kotono> The Boss sighs and mutters, shoving a sheet of paper into Holly's hands, "Read up. Go make up yer minds or I'll make it up for you."
* Holly scans the sheet. "A tower full of smiling inhabitants cannot possibly be that terrible," she agrees.
<Bamba> "I've said my piece, I leave the decision in the hands of the two ladies, one of who's more experienced in dealing with goblin madness, after all."
<Xyoria> "Tower one works fine for me.. I'd say it's about time we got an easy assignment.. but.. Nothing is ever easy."
<Holly> "'Garden of Bliss,'" Holly reads. "Well, that also sounds perfectly acceptable to me."
<Kotono> "Tower of Bliss it is," The Boss nods, pointing to the southmost tower. "Ge
"Get going!"
* Bamba nods. "By your leave then, boss! We'll do you proud again!"
* Holly marches on into the cavern to the isle! With her crossbow out and loaded just in case those tricksy goblins aren't as good as their word, of course.
* Bamba gives a short salute to the boss, and then goes down to all four, scampering after Holly.
* Xyoria checks over her new bow and vials, strapped either to her leg or her belt..
<Kotono> This tower is a door carved and inlaid with images of vines. It looks like a sturdy door, notably.

<Kotono> The door opens! Within you see a path winding through a lush garden! Sunlight impossibly comes from above. The sount of songbirds sweetly teases your ears, joined by the scents of verdant life. Thick grasses, flower bushes and trees clog every spot that isn't a part of the path ahead.
* Xyoria takes the lead, keeping against the wall, trying to be stealthy and watching for traps...

<Kotono> The party proceeds down the path. The warble of playing birds is your companion, joined by the sweet smell of flowers. You come a ways, to a circular clearing. You come in from the south. There are paths branching out from this circle, to the north, northeast and west.

<Kotono> Ahead the party travels. The path hooks to the south a bit as you walk. As you walk the trees fade, leaving only thick flower patches and grass. The roof slowly slants down, coming to be only 10ft overhead. Ahead is another circular clearing. Here are no more paths - but in the center of the clearing sits a sky blue orb.
* Xyoria waves the group to a halt...
<Xyoria> "Want me to scout around, or do we just want to go for it?"
<Holly> "Hmm..." Holly eyes the floating blue orb, considering. "I would wager what awaits us is some manner of magical object. Have you expertise with such?"
<Xyoria> "... A bit.. I can use some of them, if I get lucky.. I can also read script a bit.. But actual knowledge of it? No, not really.."
<Holly> "Let's stay together, then."
* Holly shrugs and walks into the next clearing to exmaine the strange object.
* Xyoria follows, but circles a bit to keep a clear line of sight to the orb.
<Kotono> It's a sky blu eorb, perhaps the size of a basketball or so. The blue within it matches the sky, and endless scrolling of it, moving within the orb.
<Holly> "Very pretty," Holly says, examining the object with more magical sense as she admires it. (OOC: Detect Magic is being employed, spellcraft presumably to follow)

<Kotono> Returning to the first clearing is without incident. Besides the way to the west and the way back out, there area paths to the north and northeast.
* Holly points north!
<Bamba> "Onward then, fair maidens! We shall drive fear into their hearts so deep that their breathen in tower three will have nothing to smile about when we challenge them next!"
* Xyoria takes the lead again, trying to be stealthy and scout..
<Kotono> North the trio goes! It goes on for about 50ft, before it stops. A chasm 50ft long is ahead, no way to advance easily. On the other side you can see a red and gold treasure chest, as well as what looks to be a magic circle of some sort.
<Bamba> "Can you tell what that circle means, madam?"
<Holly> "Well! A use for the orb of gravitational reversal immediately presents itself. Shall we explore the final passage first, or take a walk on the ceiling instead?"
* Holly squints across the chasm...can she tell anything from here?
<Kotono> You can't tell from here. You'd have to get across and examine it.
<Xyoria> "Considering the first room had something of use.. There might be something in the other one, too."
<Xyoria> "... Or it could be the trap room."
* Xyoria glances about, slightly paranoid.
* Holly nods, and turns back to try the northeast passage this time. "We might as well be thorough before experimenting, I think."
<Bamba> "No, I think it would be prudent to visit the second room first. What if that circle cancels the effect of the orb? We would be stuck with no way to get help."
* Bamba nods agreeing with Holly
* Xyoria nods and moves to take the lead position again. After all, if you're right once, then you're not paranoid!
<Kotono> You proceed down the northeast passage. It twists and turns, leading deeper within! In time you come to the end - a clearing, with a vine covered stone building within. It looms above you, a solemn construction of gray granite and ungiving earth. Pillars surround the front, the doors within closed.
* Holly moves to approach the door, but then stops, eyeing the vines suspiciously.
* Xyoria takes a moment to inspect what she can see..

<Kotono> The vines look to be inert and you see no signs of a trap or any sort of problems around. However, engraved in the door is writing! In Goblin it reads: AVOID. RESTLESS LIES WITHIN.
<Bamba> "More treasure within, madam rogue?" Bamba asks, assuming the rogue can read the writing.
<Xyoria> ".. No.. It says 'Avoid. Restless lies within.'"
<Xyoria> "Well.. If there is treasure in there, then it's guarded by something that scares the goblins, at least."
<Holly> "No doubt there is something of great value or great danger within. Either way, it must yield to our explorations eventually...But in the meantime, I believe it is time for an experiment, no?"
<Bamba> "With the floaty orb thingie?" Bamba asks, scratching his head.
<Xyoria> "Shoot the statue?"
* Holly nods, and turns back to the original chamber. "Well, nothing so drastic should be necessary, I think..."

* Holly maneuvers around the fallen branch, occasionally glancing up as she proceeds. "Perhaps they are merely careless gardeners?"

<Kotono> The Boss approaches. "Just got word from above that you all are due some mandatory training, to do ASAP. Gonna have to cut today short so we can have this done by end of business today."
<Holly> "Really? But we were just about to reverse the gravitational pull of this tower." Holly sighs. "Well, if those are the rules..."

<Kotono> "They are. Now c'mon or I'll send Miranda to drag yo uout," he says, "She was was sharpening that axe of hers."
