A thing was mentioned in chat about spellcraft and/or appraise applying to the identification of magical objects. Obligatory formal repetition of said thing here. Evidently this has been a houserule elsewhere.

Identify Properties of Magic Item: DC 15 + item's caster level. (DC varies for artifacts)

Attempting to ascertain the properties of a magic item takes 3 rounds per item to be identified and you must be able to thoroughly examine the object. Artifacts may be identified in this manner, but the DC is higher. The exact DC varies from artifact to artifact.

Identify costing 100gp a pop is kinda lame, so I'm all for it.

Okay, barring Merc/Zeph speaking up against it, and I doubt they will, it's in. Make a spellcraft check about the dagger and post it in loot, Cideon.
