ISO minecraft mod devs/Java coders.

So I've had an idea for a mod for Minecraft, but I lack any kind of coding ability. Any of you chaps or chapettes know about coding in Java, or better yet in actual mod creation for Minecraft?

Sorry.  Not fiddled with Minecraft's workings.  I've found in the past though it can help getting existing mods for a product, then going through what they expose.  it can give a grounding to get an ideal of what level the game is prepared for fiddling.
