Dream Shards

A quick summary of how they work.

Name - The name of the shard.
Cost - The penalty the shard inflicts.
Benefit - The benefit of the shard.
Greater benefit - The greater benefit of the shard. Note that you must qualify below to gain this greater benefit. Note that the feat Gift of the Deep Dreamer can bypass the greater benefit prerequisite.
Greater benefit prerequisite - The needed qualifications to gain the benefit of the greater shard.

Shard of Mighty Dreams

Cost: -2 int, -2 caster level. This shard grants power from the dreams of the strong. The dreams of the wise and thoughtful have no place here.
Benefit: +2 str. As a full round action you may make a mighty blow. This is a single attack at your full base attack bonus and deals double damage.
Greater benefit: The bonus to strength increases to +4. If you use power attack with the mighty blow, you deal 2 points of damage for every 1 point sacrificed (or 3 points for every one point if using a two handed weapon).
Greater benefit prerequisite: Base strength score 21, character level 11.

Shard of Suffering Dreams

Cost: Your constitution is considered two points lower for the sake of determining hit points. This shard grants the dreams of those who suffer pain with no hope of remedy. You are pained under the burdens, yet you gain preternatural stamina to endure.
Benefit: You gain the benefits of the Endurance feat and a +4 bonus to fortitude saves. You gain damage reduction 3/-. This damage reduction does not stack with any other source of damage reduction.
Greater benefit prerequisite: Base constitution score 21, character level 11.
Greater benefit: You are immune to fatigue, exhaustion and effects based on pain, such as symbol of pain. Your damage reduction granted by this shard rises to 6/-.

Shard of the Wiseman

Cost: You suffer a -2 penalty to melee attack rolls and armor class. This shard grants the dreams of the wise, the dreams of the mighty have no place here.
Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus to all skill checks. Once per day you may make a special intelligence check with a modifier equal to your hit dice + intelligence modifier. The DC is equal to the CR of the situation or opponent(s) you face+10. Success grants you an immediate insight on how to resolve or suvive the situation.
Greater benefit unlock: Base intelligence score 21, character level 11.
Greater benefit: You gain a +2 bonus to intelligence and your bonus to skill checks increases to +4.

-One in possession of the Harmonies on Arcadia. We can reclaim this when we have sunk sufficient skill points into Badassery.
-One held by a jerk charonoloth plying the Styx on Hades who demands theoretical children and/or souls as compensation.
