[19:51] <Kotono> "My day to day schedule, when I train and when I spend time with the Graceful Blow. It's nothing important. No world shattering confessions, no great interpersonal drama. Just scheduling." Sitting primly in position, "Misalea and I prefer to schedule things differently versus the schedule Mirima and I establish."
[19:52] <Jaela> "Huh." Jaela blinks, and then removes her eyepatch, tossing it onto her bed. "Shouldn't you be talking to Mirima here? I'm just trying to do right by her and she's the one who really wanted to get away for a couple days."
[19:58] <Kotono> "She's waiting on you," Canderella smiles a tiny bit, "Since you're so busy as one of the greate generals of Aurora."
[19:59] <Jaela> "We've had the worst scheduling luck, seriously! Stuff keeps on piling up and that's the problem of working with friends. You don't really say no a lot."
[20:04] <Kotono> "Woe," Canderella's smile turns to light chuckles, "Mmm. One of the lessons an experienced succubus learns is that saying no is far more important than saying yes. The more you give people what they want, the more they assume you always will. The more they take you for granted and the weaker your hold on them becomes. [20:06] * Jaela snorts. "I guess it would be useful, it I ever wanted to have a hold on people?"
[20:10] <Kotono> "What I'm saying is that you should give Mirima just enough to keep her interested," Canderella says, "Give her too much and she'll take you for granted. Worse for her, you'll become boring. She can't stand boredom."
[20:14] <Jaela> "I don't really like this."
[20:23] <Kotono> "Then keep Mirima interested," Canderella says, "That solves that."
[20:27] <Jaela> "So what did you came here to suggest? Specifically?" Jaela finally asks.
[20:29] <Kotono> "I came here to find out what your schedule is. The rest is improptu," Pausing to twirl a bit of her hair around a finger, a guileless smile as she looks Jaela in the eye, "But really, I spend lovely eons breaking up relationships and turning them to my advantage. The other side of the coin's new. Seeing your elationship with Mirima flourish would be different."
[20:30] * Jaela raises a hand, palm facing Canderella. "No stories of those eons, please. To answer you again, it's pretty much up to Afina. But even when we do leave, it shouldn't be for too long."
[20:32] <Kotono> Smiling now, "No stories," she agrees, "Besides, if I make you happy, your mother might stop talking about axes and burning demons at the stake when I'm around. She's persistent."
[20:33] <Jaela> "No, she really won't."
[20:42] <Kotono> "Woe," Canderella sighs again, "Ah well. Such is life," Rising now, Canderella starts to say something. But then Elena appears, "Oh Jaela," she says, "Oh hi, Canderella," Turning ot her a moment, "Anyway, Balyss is throwing a party in her room and in the halls of the Officer's Quarters. You're invited if you want to come." LEaning in and faux whispering, "Afina's already deep in her cups
[20:42] <Kotono> and has been eating candy. She's like a ball of cuteness now!"
[20:44] <Jaela> "Huh?" Jaela needs a few moments to parse that, before she shrugs. "Sure." With a gesture, her armor is replaced with a fashionable robe. "Coming, Candy?"
[20:46] <Kotono> "This should be good," Canderella gets up, "Shall we," Offering her arm out to Jaela, "Escort me, madam knight?"
[20:48] <Jaela> "I think I'm a sorceress now," Jaela muses, nevertheless taking Canderella's arm with an ease that had been all but beaten into her during her many etiquette classes. "Or a priestess, I suppose."

[21:01] <Kotono> Stille's just setting up a table full of kegs. He takes a little shot glass and fills it with applejack, "Here yo ugo," he says brightly. Meanwhile down the hall Jaela and Canderella come on over, the latter on the former's arm.
[21:04] <Afina> A big person's shot glass is a regular glass for Afina. Well, maybe a little on the small side, but still. She drinks it normally rather than downing it. "Jaela! Candy!" she waves with her other hand, weaving as she flys towards them. "Hi! We're having a party! Or we will when everyone gets here... Applejack?" she thrusts her half full shot glass at them. "Simmer's got some good candy in Balyss's
[21:04] <Afina> room, too!"
[21:06] <Jaela> "Sure!" Jaela accepts the glass with her free hand, and downs it in one go.
[21:09] <Kotono> Lightly detangling from Jaela, "I'm going to go mix," she says, as more people come in. Various soldiers and the like, as meanwhile several lillends enter. With them is Vivantha, who looks around. After that she approaches, "Generals," she greets in her musical voice, "This is a celebration?"
[21:10] <Jaela> "Seems like!" Jaela agrees, waving at the departing Canderella.
[21:11] * Afina doesn't want to celebrate getting her legs chopped off even if she's working towards dealing with it. "No, it's just a party," she asserts, shaking her head. "But don't let that stop you!"
[21:13] <Kotono> "Ah! We'll provide music," she says, going to converse with the other lillend. As they do Stille pours Afina another drink and then one for himself, "I daresay this is forming up well, and it's barely begun."
[21:16] <Afina> "I got a good head start," Afina nods sloppily and takes a deep gulp of her new drink. "Say, I think Simmer might've fallen asleep in Balyss's room. I'm gonna go get her!" she says, taking off to pull the pyrodryad off the bed.
[21:17] * Jaela wanders off in search of drink herself.
[21:19] <Kotono> Jaela wanders off. She finds a familiar face amid them - Hanna. She's coming on over towards Jaela on seeing her. "Oh Jaela," she says, "You haven't seen Mirajane here, have you?"
[21:19] <Jaela> "No. Want to ask Elena?"
[21:19] <Kotono> Afina wanders back inside. Simmer's the only one in the room now, lying on the bed. "Oh Afina. Close the door behind you," she says, sitting up.
[21:20] <Kotono> "Yes. Elena!" Hanna calls. Within moment sthe blue haired girl appears, "Yes?" she says. "I was in earshot, just out of sight." she hmphs, "Mirajane's in the library with Muirfinn, Sylvie and Ithea."
[21:20] <Jaela> "There we go," Jaela says, looking at her mother curiously. "What's up?"
[21:22] <Afina> Pushing the door closed Afina flutters over to land on Simmer's belly again. "What's up? The party's out there!" she says.
[21:22] <Kotono> "Nothing particularly," she says, "But she's still growing up and learning, even if her body's mature. I don't think a party is the right place for her yet. She's also good at slipping away from me to do this or that. Having a granddaughter with precognitive talents is quickly proving troublesome."
[21:23] * Jaela nods, and turns towards Elena. "If you see her do something that's way too mature for a kid that just grew up, let us know?"
[21:25] <Kotono> "Eh, fuck 'em," Simmer says casually, voice relaxed with liquid courage. "I'm more interested in you," she says. "As your friend, it's my duty to...oh hell, how does it go? Am I supposed to make sure you don't do something stupid while you're drunk, or make sure you do?"
[21:25] <Kotono> "She's in the library talking about acopalytic threats and helping Muirfinn and the others with it," Elena says, "I'm not paying much attention because it's against the mood here."
[21:26] <Jaela> "Please go there and tell Muirfinn Mom will hurt him in ways he had never been hurt before," Jaela tells Elena flatly.
[21:27] <Kotono> Hanna goes to rub her face with her hand, openly facepalming.
[21:27] * Afina laughs and nearly falls off of Simmer. "Whew, for a second I thought you were gonna seduce me! Why am I so bad about reading the mood like that, I did it with Sanzha too!" she giggles intermittedly while continuing, "Forget about who does stupid stuff or not, just have fun!"
[21:27] <Kotono> "IN their defense," Elena says, "Mirajane came to them. She seemed to know what they were talking about before she arrived."
[21:28] <Jaela> "It's not a defense when you're dealing with a child," Jaela says, frowning now. "Try to resolve that for us so we don't have to do it in person, then let us know how it went?"
[21:29] <Kotono> "Oh, I was going to get to that," Simmer grins, and in a saucy voice, "Hey Afina, wanna magic into a boy pixie and ride the burned bark?" Reaching out and poking Afina's head, "You're repressing something, aren't you?"
[21:30] <Kotono> "I..." Elena begins, "She replied to me just after you spoke," Elena slowly blinks, "She called out, 'Elena, tell Mother and Grandmother to stop worrying. I'm needed here.'
[21:30] <Afina> "Have been since Lifasa fell," she admits, pouting a bit. "... and hey, why do I need to magic into a boy? Why don't you or we could both just stay as we are... or you could become small or I could become big! There's so many perturbations!"
[21:31] <Jaela> "She's not the boss of you," Jaela tells Elena, as if speaking to a little child. "I am the boss of you."
[21:32] <Kotono> Elena whimpers at that, "Um, I am trying to join the party here." Pushing her fingers together, "I really don't want to get into a family spat. The library's just one portal trip away!"
[21:34] * Jaela dismisses Elena entirely at that, and raises an eyebrow at her mother. "You're the one with experience, so I'll let you call the shots. Plus I'll punch him in the face if I go there, so do what you think right." Shaking her head, she decides to leave and return to her room to call this a day.
[21:34] <Kotono> Giggling at that, "I didn't think you went that way," Simmer says, "Was it you or someone els ewho mentioned you sort of like Lief?" Frowning as she thinks, "Or is this one of those drunken mistake things?"
[21:36] <Kotono> Hanna sighs and facepalms again, falling in step with Jaela. "Being a parent involves -not- punching other people over your child. Believe it or not." As you slip away from the noise of the party, "She's precocious a child as I've ever seen. She's seeing and listening to something or someone. She's a natural born seer."
[21:37] <Jaela> "An officer here should really know better," Jaela asserts firmly. "Maybe my standards are just too high."
[21:37] <Afina> "Probably Crystal, she's always hinting about him to me like that. But Elena told me they nearly got together themselves," Afina explains with a sage nod. "But yeah, I'd probably do him. Maybe. The night's young so who knows! If you want to have a chance you're gonna have to come out and join the party yourself, though!" she carols, poking Simmer in the stomach before taking off and going to
[21:37] <Afina> open the door again.
[21:43] <Kotono> "I believe Elena when she said Mirajane went to them and not the other way around," Hanna says, pausing by the portal. "She looks like an adult now and works with a purpose. Have you asked her about it at all?"
[21:44] <Kotono> "Hey," Simmer stands before Afina reaches the door. "Hold on a moment."
[21:45] <Jaela> "Looks like an adult. Looks." Jaela shakes her head. "And what, do you mean if I asked her 'have you tried fighting evil yet despite me saying you're not ready yet'?"
[21:46] <Afina> "Huh, what?" Afina stops with her hand on the doorknob.
[21:47] <Kotono> "Jaela." The voice that speaks is different. Hanna looks into Jaela's eyes, all endlessly ancient maturity. "One, no child is ever ready in the eyes of their parents. You still aren't to me, but it's not my choice to make. No matter how much I wish it was at times. Two, have you asked her about why she's doing this?"
[21:48] <Jaela> "No, since I didn't know she was, in fact, doing this," Jaela says before she looks skywards. "I'm going to our suite, Mirajane. Come talk to me and tell me why you're doing this?" She gives Hanna a half-smile, and then heads through the portal.
[21:50] <Kotono> "Nah, nevermind," Simmer suddenly says, "I'll catch up, you go on ahead."
[21:51] <Afina> "Well okay, but if you try and spend the whole party in here I'll come and get you!" Afina threatens before she opens the door and goes to drink and socialise and have fun.
