Also, I'd like to buy the Gaia's Gift armor, but it's pretty expensive. If we bought that and the Wagon, we'd only have about 1500 gil left over.

Unless someone has any concerns with saving up money for something else, I am interested in boosting my tier 2 armor to tier 3, and my tier 2 accessory to tier 4.

[(Tier 3 armor + Tier 4 accessory) - (Tier 2 armor + Tier 2 accessory)]/2 = [(1500+7500)-(450+600)]/2 = 3975 gil

Also, assuming the above is correct (which sounded like Ko's intent from the channel), please note that some of the previous upgrades on the thread are incorrect.

For your armor, it's

(Half of Tier 3 (750)) - (Cost of your armor (1000)) = 0 + using your armor for the synthesis.
