Yus.  The Original.  Not the sequel.  Also not an anime.  :)

Finally got around to watching this, thanks to Durandall.  Some might notice the retheming of the site based around the most excellent character in it.  While it is a kid's show and has a handful of terrible episodes (One per season), it is an excellent journey.

One in which Aang will save the world (No Pressure).

Gathering a wily set of comedic young folks, they journey off for wacky adventures, mystical learnings, juvenile lessons, comedic adventures, and Changing the World.  The show spatters the occasional awesome fight scene or joke with a surprising amount of reach back in the episodes, weaving events to pull back.

It also has Iroh, Pai Sho master, Purveyor of Tea.

Iroh is my favorite too. The thing that surprised me most about this show is its emotional maturity and fun-loving spirit. It's so rare to get both of those and even rarer that they're both done so well.
