[18:32] <Kotono> OOC: Okay, y'all reached the cave and Mycol ran into trouble. Now what?
[18:33] <Lehko> OOC: Didn't he win?
[18:33] <Kotono> OOC: He did. What are y'all gonna do now? HE got pushed back with the loot from the battle.
[18:33] <Kotono> OOC: Merc posted the log if you need a quick refresh.
[18:33] <Morrie> OOC: I'm going to have Morrie put his hand on the cave from the outside and see if, perhaps, it will give him some clue as to what may have caused it, or some way to brute force their way.
[18:33] <Kotono> OOC: Okay. Lemme resolve that first of all.
[18:32] <Kotono> -------

[18:34] <Kotono> Morrie places his hand on the cave. His senses settle in momentarily before he startles back. There is a sense of power here, enough to disrupt his concentration and send him stumbling back!
[18:35] * Lehko eyes the reaction and tries to pick something up with his own magic.. Maybe White Magic will find something different..
[18:35] <Morrie> "Curious." He shakes his hand once. "I wonder... I think if we were to go in again, we would simply be ejected."
[18:36] <Santos> "Maybe we should just keep the location saved in a map for Ebenezer to puzzle over at a later date," Santos says. "Doesn't seem like we're going to have much luck on our own figuring what that light and dark stuff means."
[18:37] <Kotono> Lehko can feel power - it overwhelms him and forces him away, just like Morrie.
[18:37] * Lehko nods to Santos.
[18:38] <Lehko> "Whatever it is, it's too powerful for me to get a read on. At least with the chasm, no one can find their way here easily."
[18:39] * Mycol nods.
[18:39] <Morrie> He nods. "Then shall we try and get back the way we came?"
[18:39] <Mycol> "I have a notion It could summon stronger monsters if it wanted."
[18:39] <Lehko> "Sure. I'll bring up another bridge of light."
[18:40] <Kotono> OOC: Heading back then, y'all?
[18:41] <Mycol> OOC: That's my vote
[18:41] <Lehko> OOC: Yarp.

[18:44] <Kotono> Thus the party heads back! You reach back and climb down! As you do, you find a surprise! Uphill, at medium range? You see and ogre and two of his kin! The three ogres each have a biiiiig club and look ready to use it! Surrounding them are six grey wolves, pacing and glaring the party's way. "Ho there!" One calls, familiar. It looks distinctly like the ogre you met before. "Nice weather today, isn't it? Great weather to deal with some unfinished business!"
[18:45] * Mycol leans in and whispers.
[18:47] <Mycol> "They're definitely smarter than we give them credit for. If turnabout is fair play, that means I should always be doing something stupid."
[18:47] <Mycol> "We're always fighting and not fighting either way. Worth. A. Shot."
[18:48] * Mycol coughs.
[18:48] <Mycol> "Well met, flesh-giant! It seems we got off on the wrong foot."
[18:48] <Kotono> One of the other ogres looks at the familiar one, "The fuck is he talking about?" he asks, deadpan.
[18:49] <Mycol> "My friends and I were spooked and didn't have any gold! We only threatened you because we saw no other options."
[18:49] * Mycol gyrates weirdly.
[18:49] <Kotono> The familiar one gives his kin an sharp glare, which shuts him right up. "So we did. This is OUR territory," he proclaims, tapping his club on the ground. "How about we start over and start talking about tribute for safe passage?"
[18:49] * Mycol goes back to whispering.
[18:49] <Mycol> "Obviously you should be always shooting him in the instances this doesn't work."
[18:50] * Lehko shrugs.
[18:50] * Mycol goes back to shouting.
[18:50] <Lehko> "It's always at the front of my mind.
[18:50] <Lehko> "
[18:50] <Mycol> "Alas! There's but a single cave that we found, and it repelled us from within. We are always as penniless as before and after."
[18:52] <Kotono> "May be so," The third one speaks up, surprisingly light voiced. "But ya got shiny equipment. Worth money, isn't it?"
[18:53] * Lehko leans over to Mycol and whispers:
[18:53] <Lehko> "Shiva... *dislikes* ogres."
[18:53] <Santos> "I don't know if it's worth as much as you think, but you can take a look at it and tell me if you really think it's worth enough for a toll," Santos says with a casual shrug, making a nonchalant show of drawing his blades out.
[18:53] * Mycol whispers back.
[18:54] <Morrie> Morrie glances across everyone, then over at the ogres. "How much, exactly, is the toll in the first place?"
[18:54] <Mycol> "If you count the dogs, they've over double our numbers. If this goes south, be prepared to use any option"
[18:54] <Kotono> "Toss them over," The familiar ogre shouts, "Hilt first, nice and underhand."
[18:55] * Lehko raises an eyebrow at this.
[18:55] * Mycol doesn't understand ogres and is just trying to be an ambassador. He's curious how they react to Santos' show of force.
[18:56] <Kotono> OOC: Also Morrie, was your line to the ogres or the party? I wasn't quite sure.
[18:57] <Morrie> OOC: The ogres.

[18:58] <Kotono> "The toll's as much as we say it is. Usually 100 gil a head, but let's see the blades first. Circumstances are different." The second ogre says, "C'mon, do what he says!"
[18:59] <Lehko> "It seems to me that while you want a toll, you don't really want a fight, either, right? You can tell we're not just regular travelers, which is why you went and got help. Even with help, I don't think this will go well; just not for either of us this time, instead of just you. So how about something a little different?"
[18:59] <Kotono> The familiar one glowers at Lehko, "What?" he asks, "Better be good!"
[19:04] <Lehko> "How about we travel together? You want a toll, but we just want to leave. You escort us to your borders with no trouble, and in return, I'll give you something of value that you can't get out here in the woods; I'm something of a chef."
[19:04] <Lehko> roll 2d6+4 Negotiation
[19:04] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 2d6+4 Negotiation and gets 13." [2d6=3, 6]
[19:05] * Mycol whispers "If he asks for Mushroom stew, I'm summoning Titan."
[19:08] <Kotono> The three ogres glance to each other, whispering amid each other briefly. The familiar one then speaks up, "You one of those magic chefs?"
[19:09] <Lehko> "Depends on what magic you're talking about. Turning basic ingredients into amazing food is magic on its own."
[19:10] <Kotono> "I mean food that does things when you eat it, like potions do," The ogre shouts back, stomping his foot after. The ground cracks beneath it, stone cobwebbing!
[19:10] <Santos> "If you provide us with any powerful ingredients though, instead of basic ones? Lehko will have you so happy you'll never want him to leave. Why, the man was married to a harem of women, and he had to RUN AWAY from them so he could do things besides cook!"
[19:10] * Santos helps with the negotiation!
[19:10] <Santos> roll 2d6+4
[19:10] * Hatbot --> "Santos rolls 2d6+4 and gets 14." [2d6=6, 4]
[19:10] * Lehko shrugs.
[19:10] <Lehko> "I can do some of that, yes. For that, though, *you* have to provide the ingredients."

[19:13] <Kotono> Again the ogres start talking. This one the less verbose one starts gesturing as they chat. The familiar one scowls, but the other points at Lehko a few times.  More whispering that you don't see, then they turn back. "Fine. All of you follow us."
[19:13] * Lehko raises an eyebrow and looks at the others.
[19:15] * Mycol shrugs
[19:15] * Mycol whispers:
[19:16] <Mycol> "They'll either ambush us now or ambush us later or ambush us before. In going or not going with them, we do what we always do."
[19:16] <Mycol> "It can't be more dangerous than the flesh-but-not-flesh-woman was."
[19:16] * Lehko shrugs and starts to follow them, but whispers to Santos as he passes.
[19:17] <Lehko> "Drop to the back so you can sneak off, if need be."
[19:17] * Morrie will likewise follow!
[19:20] * Santos nods, doing just that, but continuing to follow.
[19:20] <Kotono> The party is lead for about an hour. You eventually pass by a steep cliff face, nothing unusual for the terrain. But the ogres stop here. The familiar one glances back, "Hold it there," he calls.
[19:21] * Lehko seems to relax, but rests his hands on his pistols.
[19:22] * Mycol stops.

[19:24] <Kotono> The third ogre - the short spoken one that pointed at Lehko during the whispering - steps forward. His body glimmers for a moment! His flesh is now sky blue and he's a good foot taller. He stands before the wall, starting to trace interconnected lines, circles and runes all over it. They spread beyond his touches, covering the entire cliff side! The blue-skinned ogre hefts his club and with a
[19:24] <Kotono> grunt slams it right into the wall! It collapses into dozens of hunks of rubble, that just happen to fall into two perfect piles. Ahead is a pathway leading downward, lit by thick clusters of glowing moss in wall alcoves. It's not bright, but it's enough light to see by.
[19:24] <Santos> "Okay, that was kind of impressive to watch," Santos mutters.
[19:24] * Mycol nods.
[19:25] <Lehko> "... Yeah. I'm thinking that might have been a tougher fight than we thought."
[19:25] <Kotono> "You follow me," The blue-skinned ogre remarks, heading within. The other two ogres and wolves all follow.
[19:25] <Mycol> "Ogre Magic is under-appreciated, it would appear"
[19:25] <Lehko> "All of us, or just me?"
[19:26] <Kotono> "All of you! Get moving!" The familiar ogre turns back and calls. "There'll be hell to pay if he has to cast that spell again!"
[19:26] * Lehko follows after, but mutters to Santos:
[19:27] <Lehko> "Their attitude doesn't earn them points towards my *not* poisoning them."
[19:27] * Santos snorts. "That might be worth trying."
[19:29] * Mycol will follow, and watch for more interesting stuff

[19:33] <Kotono> You are lead within. It's a fairly long, winding path that generally heads down. It's a few more hours of walking. Conversation is difficult - sounds echo and echo around seemingly without limit, cascading within the deep cave. Yet there's no signs of monsters or the typical problems within caves. Eventually you come out into a cavern - a vast cavern, bigger than Galimond! You come out at the top! Before you is terrace after terrace, all going downhill. The terraces are full of massive houses of carved stone. The stone is various dark colors, each house like a different swirl of stone and color.
[19:33] <Kotono> In the center-bottom terrace are several huge buildings, including one shaped like a bowl. Perhaps a stadium? All about are ogres - mostly the normal shade you saw, but a few of the blue skinned ones are here as well. There's also grey wolves and wolves all about, as well as an off-green wolf that's bigger than the gray wolves. These ones walk at the head of packs full of gray and normal wolves. Far above, the ceiling sheds light, decorated with the same light-giving moss as the walls, as well as veins of crystal that reflect the light into a sunshine-like brightness.
[19:33] <Kotono> The familiar ogre turns to you, standing before a winding path that leads to a smooth stone street. "Ogreheim. Don't make any trouble, just follow us."
[19:34] * Mycol takes it all in, in wonderment.
[19:35] <Morrie> Morrie raises an eyebrow, both impressed from a personal standpoint, but also one as someone connected with the earth.
[19:35] <Lehko> "... I'll be honest here. I'm pretty impressed. I do have to ask, though. If you can do all this, why resort to holding up travelers? If you actually traded with people, you'd bring in *far* more money."
[19:37] <Kotono> "Think about it," The familiar ogre grunts, "We're not far. Hesalus has a house nearby."
[19:37] <Lehko> "No craftsmen?"
[19:37] <Lehko> "Hesalus is the blue one?"
[19:39] <Kotono> "Yes. Don't disrespect him," The familiar ogre adds with a stony glare. "He is a ogre mage."
[19:40] * Lehko raises his hands in a placating gesture.
[19:41] <Lehko> "Magic is never anything to make fun of, no matter how strange it seems. All magic is powerful in some way."
[19:41] <Mycol> "The magic of the tunnel was something to witness."

[19:44] <Kotono> You are lead to a house. IT has a yard of sorts. It is filled with polished stones of various colors and shapes. Within is a house. It's oversized, surely built for ogres. But it's fairly traditional otherwise, including a kitchen, which you are lead to. It's really rather homey in here. A hearth fire burns, copper-bottomed pans hang on the wall, the scent of food lingers in the air. The wolves
[19:44] <Kotono> are left outside, as well as the second ogre. The familiar one and Hesalus talk in whispers briefly, before Hesalus leaves. "Turns out that the last cooking specialist ogre mage died a few years back. Your lucky day. Cook enough and we'll settle this." The familiar ogre says, arms crossed and club placed to rest against the wall.
[19:45] * Lehko crosses his arms.
[19:46] <Lehko> "This is far and above the value of 100 gil per head and you know it. A deal goes both ways. So far, all I've seen is what my end is supposed to be. Instead of taking us out of your territory, you've taken us further in. It's time for you to show your end."
[19:49] <Kotono> With a sharp, entirely unpleasant smile, "You're alive. By keeping you that way I'm showing you plenty. You're not in human lands anymore. You're the wandering pests that get stomped out around here. Settle in, he'll be back in a moment, just went to the larder."
[19:51] <Lehko> "And without having any cooking specialist ogre mages, you have no idea what exactly I'm cooking. We can still do enough damage to make you regret this. All I'm asking for is a fair hand out of this. How about... Free travel through your lands? And trade with your people?"
[19:52] <Kotono> "You do this right and the ogre magi'll consider your request," The ogre says, leaning back against the wall.
[19:53] * Lehko raises an eyebrow at this.
[19:53] <Lehko> "And you have the power to speak for them?"
[19:54] <Kotono> "Yes," he says without flinching. As he replies the ogre mage returns. He carries clay jar with him, placing it on the table. "Wolf berries," he says shortly, "Make food that heals. Find out if you're telling the truth first before the good ingredients."

[19:56] * Lehko looks at the others and shrugs, going about the kitchen and getting the appropriate utensils and gets to work.
[19:56] <Lehko> roll 2d6+5 Cooking
[19:57] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 2d6+5 Cooking and gets 13." [2d6=6, 2]
[19:58] <Kotono> "We'll be back once you're done." The familiar ogre says, the two heading out as Lehko gets to cooking.
[19:59] <Mycol> OOC: So we're alone?
[19:59] <Kotono> OOC: Yes, for the moment.
[19:59] <Mycol> "I, for one, think they're sincere."
[20:00] <Mycol> "If they were going to kill us, they'd have tried by now."
[20:00] <Morrie> OOC: Can I Monster Lore ogres?
[20:00] <Kotono> OOC: Sure.
[20:00] <Mycol> "They just gave us the means to make enough potions to.... take a siege from them."
[20:01] <Mycol> "I'll say this though. Titan says they're different. New? Not like before."
[20:01] <Morrie> roll 2d6+2 Lore on the ogre people
[20:01] * Hatbot --> "Morrie rolls 2d6+2 Lore on the ogre people and gets 6." [2d6=2, 2]
[20:01] <Lehko> "Shiva's saying the same. I'm still dubious about how new this is, though. A city like this, and the organization that comes with it, doesn't just happen."
[20:02] <Morrie> OOC: durrr what's an ogre

[20:02] <Kotono> As Lehko begins to cook, a swirl of snowflakes appear over his shoulder. Shiva appears there, sitting on the catman's shoulder. "Titan's right for once," Shiva announces. "A millennia ago ogres weren't remotely like this. They weren't as dumb as people commonly thought, and you'd run into a bright one every so often, but they weren't civilized. Ogre mages were loners or chieftains but didn't make
[20:02] <Kotono> anything above tribes."
[20:02] <Kotono> Morrie can recall they're ogres. Ogry. Ogre-o-rama. His practical knowledge is about nil, unfortunately.
[20:03] <Mycol> "They could be being influenced."
[20:03] <Lehko> "Regardless of what they were, they're like this now, and *no one* knows about it. If they can build an underground city and organize themselves as a culture without anyone noticing, what *else* have they been up to? "
[20:03] <Mycol> "I don't think they were in league with the demoness---wouldn't they have reacted to her death, or at least her sudden absence from our party?"
[20:04] <Mycol> "Either way, we have a responsibility to make it out alive. If there's a chance for peace, then to take it. If there's a chance for war, then to let our peoples prepare."
[20:04] <Santos> "I'm surprised they left us alone in here..." Santos comments, worried that they might be talking too freely if the ogres are spying somehow.
[20:04] <Santos> roll 2d6+4 awareness
[20:04] * Hatbot --> "Santos rolls 2d6+4 awareness and gets 9." [2d6=2, 3]
[20:04] * Lehko nods to Mycol.
[20:05] <Kotono> "If they were in league with an Archaic Demon," Shiva flips up, pacing across Lehko's shoulder as he works the berries, "They'd have helped her more directly."
[20:05] <Kotono> Santos doesn't detect any sort of eavesdropping.
[20:06] <Lehko> "They have a severe lack of craftsmen, it appears. Which the other races can provide, if the ogres decide they want to grow out of thumping everyone they meet over the head."
[20:06] * Lehko takes a cue from Santos' inspection of the area and subtly looks for the same.
[20:06] <Lehko> roll 2d6+7 Awareness
[20:06] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 2d6+7 Awareness and gets 12." [2d6=3, 2]

[20:06] <Mycol> "If they are -enemies- to the demons, they'd be an exceptionally valuable ally.
[20:06] <Kotono> Lehko doesn't detect any sort of eavesdropping.
[20:09] <Kotono> "Now listen," Shiva goes on, "Find out more information about them! Cajole it out of them. I think we all need to know." she says, before vanishing in a swirl of snowflakes once more.
[20:10] <Morrie> "I'm still not convinced as to why they go out to try and extract a toll. Perhaps gil has some other meaning here?"
[20:11] * Lehko shrugs. "Try to find out when they return."

[20:12] <Kotono> OOC: Speaking of, ready to move on or do you wanna chat more?
[20:12] <Lehko> OOC: I'm mostly good.
[20:12] <Kotono> OOC: Okay. Lehko, are you cooking regularly or adding anything special/poisonous like was discussed.
[20:13] <Lehko> OOC: For now, regular. The poison comes depending on how much dickish-ness they continue having, considering I'm providing them with a service they can't seem to find on their own.

[20:15] <Kotono> An hour later, several batches of berry syrup have been made. It's surely a sweet and healthful treat. The two ogres return, the ogre mage going to a batch. Without a word he sniffs it twice before gunning it down. After wards he swallows, waits several moments and turns to the familiar ogre. He nods to him and walks right on out, leaving you with the familiar ogre. He promptly nods, "So you weren't lying. You want passage and trade, you'd best impress us with the ingredients we provide next."
[20:17] <Mycol> "This is unprecedented. I'm thinking of any time in the past where our peoples met before, and I've never known of this. Tell me, do the other flesh-men with me seem different from their kind, as well?"

[20:18] <Lehko> "I think we need to have a *decent* talk, first. So far I've done everything you asked, and just provided you proof of my ability. Some basic questions, at the very least. How long have you ogres had your own city?"
[20:19] <Kotono> The ogre gives both of them a long stare, but finally answers. "Hundreds of years, since the coming of The Great One."
[20:19] * Lehko raises an eyebrow.
[20:19] <Lehko> "The Great One?"
[20:20] <Kotono> "The Great One. He unified the tribes, established the castes and founded Ogreheim." He answers, arms crossed as he settles in against the wall.
[20:21] * Lehko nudges Mycol and Morrie to pry more out, but first asks:
[20:21] <Lehko> "So what are the next ingredients, and what exactly are you hoping for?
[20:21] <Lehko> "
[20:22] <Kotono> "Hyena meat. He'll be wanting Burning Kabobs." He answers shortly. "He'll be back with it soon."
[20:22] <Mycol> "Like an ogre prophet? A great chief? I've heard of shorter flesh-men who unified whole countries under their flag"
[20:22] <Morrie> "Where could we find more on The Great One? Do you have some sort of... history record?"
[20:24] <Lehko> OOC: Spicy Kabob, you mean? 11 difficulty?
[20:24] <Kotono> OOC: Something different.

[20:25] <Kotono> "The stories of The Great One are known to all ogres," He goes on, "He was known as Cid. The ballad of his life takes several weeks to recite."
[20:25] <Lehko> OOC: Not seeing it in the book. What's the difficulty?
[20:25] <Kotono> OOC: Don't worry about it, just roll when I cue you to.
[20:26] <Mycol> "Fascinating."
[20:27] <Morrie> "...An ogre named Cid?" He blinks. "Do you know where he came from? I mean... where in the world."
[20:29] <Kotono> "From the land below," Thumping his foot down lightly, "The ballad speaks of seas of magma and castles of creatures with faces of darkness and eyes of light."
[20:30] * Lehko listens, but wanders around the kitchen gathering the items needed for kabobs.
[20:31] <Mycol> "A.... ...dwarf?"
[20:32] <Morrie> "Perhaps... that is what the cave referred to." He considers.
[20:32] <Mycol> "So these.... dwarfs?.... were the first to establish real diplomacy with the Ogres?"
[20:32] <Santos> "Faces of darkness and eyes of light, eh?" Santos mutters, rubbing his chin in thought. "Do you know how to get to this land below?"
[20:33] <Kotono> "Aye." Grunting at Mycol, "The stories say that The Great One came from the dwarves and did his great deeds." At that his face hardens slightly, "It's said Cid sealed the ways below with great explosions, greater than the ones that created Ogreheim."
[20:34] <Mycol> "Why did he do this?"

[20:35] <Kotono> "He was the Great One," The familiar ogre stares at Mycol evenly, "It was his destiny."
[20:36] <Mycol> "I.... think I understand. The place below was a threat, then."
[20:38] <Kotono> As Mycol says that, Hesalus returns. He carries a great platter of raw meat, placing it on the table before going to the familiar ogre. He whispers into his ear briefly and then departs. "Listen up," The familiar ogre says, "Burning Kebobs are made by making kebabs of that meat and the spices in the jar over there," Gesturing at one jar near the stove, "Just meat, no vegetables."
[20:39] <Mycol> "That's. A. Relief."
[20:39] * Mycol wiggles amusingly
[20:39] * Lehko raises an eyebrow and wonders if the ogre knows how they're made, why he needs me to make them.
[20:40] * Lehko gets to work anyway.
[20:40] <Lehko> roll 2d6+5 Cooking
[20:40] * Hatbot --> "Lehko rolls 2d6+5 Cooking and gets 15." [2d6=5, 5]

[20:40] <Kotono> "Make them right,"  Pulling out a black bomb from his torn clothes and sitting down, "It'll explode like this goblin bomb here. Don't go sampling the food as you cook now."
[20:41] <Mycol> "If it... explodes, how do you eat it?"
[20:42] <Kotono> "You don't." With a slightly unpleasant smile, "You throw them. They're more reliable than bombs like this."
[20:43] <Mycol> "I feel bad for the chef that discovers that first."
[20:43] <Morrie> He tilts his head, blinking.
[20:44] <Morrie> "Hold on a moment." He says, suddenly. "If the food is explosive... then aren't we about to blow ourselves up?" He frowns.
[20:44] <Kotono> "When it's thrown," The familiar ogre says,
[20:44] <Kotono> OOC: Gah.
[20:44] <Santos> "With Lehko? That's...a rather strong possibility."
[20:45] * Lehko looks up.
[20:45] <Lehko> "I like explosions."
[20:45] <Kotono> "When it's thrown," The familiar ogre says with a wave of his hand, tossing the black bomb up and catching it. "Don't throw it while you're cooking."
[20:45] * Lehko goes back to work.
[20:45] <Santos> "When you end up inside them as often as you do? That's liking them a little too strongly."
[20:45] * Lehko looks up at Santos.
[20:46] * Lehko goes back to work.
[20:46] <Morrie> He frowns again, stepping over to the jar for some reason.
[20:48] <Kotono> OOC: The spice jar?
[20:48] <Morrie> Yes.
[20:49] <Morrie> OOC: Yes.

[20:53] <Kotono> It's full of dull red spice. You can smell it from here, spiciness that tickles your nose.
[20:54] <Morrie> He wrinkles his nose at that but just keeps an eye on the ogre with the bomb for now.
[20:55] <Mycol> "You said Ogreheim was built by an explosion. Is this how you shape your city, then?"
[20:57] <Kotono> "It's how the cavern was cleared out," He explains, "The Great One also reinforced the ceiling so it doesn't collapse."
[20:59] <Mycol> "Oh. That uh.... that makes much more sense."
[21:00] * Mycol kind of wiggles embarrassed for that one.
[21:02] <Morrie> "Why did he come up here, though?" He stretches a bit. "It surely wasn't just to unite the ogres... or was it?"
[21:03] <Kotono> "It was his destiny," The familiar ogre replies stoically. "
[21:03] <Morrie> "And what ultimately happened to him?" He folds his arms, glancing at the bomb that the ogre threw... suddenly realizing that he -threw- it up and nothing happened.
[21:07] <Kotono> He does it again, catching it with ease. "He rests." Is the answer you get, "He fulfilled his destiny."
[21:10] <Morrie> "Is destiny part of your culture?" He furrows his brow. Something wasn't quite right, but he couldn't figure out what it was.
[21:12] <Kotono> "Yes." The ogre says simply, putting the bomb down.
[21:14] <Morrie> "Hm... so what's yours, then? Is toll collecting part of it?" He tried to sound the least insulting as possible asking that.
[21:15] <Kotono> "Yes," he says, rising. He picks up the bomb and tosses/catches it once more before putting it away. "Get to work. I'll be back in an hour."
[21:18] <Santos> ooc: Roll for Lehko, or anything else now?
[21:19] <Kotono> OOC: He already rolled. Moving on then.

[21:20] <Kotono> An hour later produces several kabobs! The two ogres come in, Hesalus taking one and heading out. There's silence a few moments before a deafening BOOOOOOOOM sounds from outside. The familiar ogre nods at that, "So you're pretty good at this, eh?"
[21:20] <Santos> "I did say how good he was before when I was talking about his wives and having to get away, didn't I?" Santos says for Lehko.
[21:23] <Kotono> "Maybe you were right," The familiar ogre confesses with a slight little frown, "The final ingredient won't be ready until tomorrow. There's rooms here you can rest in for the night."
[21:24] <Santos> "Are we allowed to explore, look around the city and such? Or do we need to stay in here?" Santos asks, curious to see what else their weird city might offer. They might have weapons and armor to sell! Imagine, ogre-craft equipment!
[21:26] <Kotono> "Not tonight." Shaking his head, "It's late. Do good tomorrow and we'll allow it."
[21:28] <Mycol> "Could we at least trouble you for some food? Or at least some.... less volatile ingredients with which to make our own?"
[21:29] <Kotono> "We'll feed you," he says.
[21:30] <Mycol> "Our thanks, then."
<Cidward> God willing, we'll all meet in Buttquest 2: The Quest for More Butts.
