So, CyMage and myself have announced this in IRC and the like, but we're horrible slackers when it comes to posting anything on the boards.  Oops! Might as well do it now.

This year marks two big milestones for us.  First, July 31st is our 10th anniversary.  Which means we've been hanging around here for even longer then that.  To everyone who came to our wedding and/or sent us well wishes, thanks!  It's been a great ride and no regrets.  Here's to another 10 years.

Our second big milestone will be when we inflict our child upon the world sometime in August.  Look, you guys have been asking us when we were going to have kids for a while so there's your answer!  Currently everything is going fine.  We're almost half way there and there are no problems.  Just to head off any early questions, we probably won't know the gender until sometime in May.  Looking forward to raising a internet addicted, anime loving, gamer person....which probably means they'll be completely normal.  Oh well!

Originally, I was hoping we could do a mini-gathering to celebrate our anniversary with you guys but it looks like that's out for now.  You are spared our presence for the moment.  To anyone who might be in Toronto this year, feel free to stop by and visit and say hello!  We offer you our uncomfortable futon as a place to sleep.  Otherwise, we'll see you guys around the internet.

If "the other day" was around the end of November, then you are correct!  If not, then our getting pregnant makes you think of people having kids and I'm not sure how amazing of a power that is.

So....an update!

We had our 10 year anniversary.  We went downtown, bought some books and saw Guardians of the Galaxy in a fancy VIP theater with over-priced food.  It was good. :)

On August 16, at 10:57pm, our son was born.  Eryk Alistair was 9lb 1.2oz and 21 inches long.   He's a big boy, which should surprise no one who has seen Cy and myself in person.
