[18:02] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay, quick roundup. Y'all are back home and have a chance to rest a bit. Anything you want to get done right away or loose ends to tie up?
[18:02] <@John> OOC: nope
[18:02] <Feather> OOC: Read the book, eat diamonds
[18:03] <Gildas> OOC: I've got some curiosity spells to cast, but nothing that can't be done in my time off.
[18:05] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay, +int book goes without incident. Adjust your score upwards. AS for the diamond, we'll cover that first in here.
[18:05] * Parts: Yuthirin (Yuth-Sleep@174-26-56-160.phnx.qwest.net)
[18:07] <@Kotono> The diamonds are gathered. Myann gives them a look over, "Still no idea what they do?" she asks, everyone having gathered at Feather's house, in the common room. There's bunches of treasure and unsorted coins all over, Myann's work stacked up all about. In the background a kobold with sundark goggles works, measuring coins and scribbing notes.
[18:09] <Feather> "Nope," Feather responds, his eyes drifting towards the piles of coins. "Almost makes you wonder about building a house entirely from gold, doesn't it?"
[18:10] <@Kotono> Myann's eyes follow, "You could...hmmm..." she hmms to herself, trailing off, before shaking her head. "Too showy. It's almost the sort of impossible thing you'd expect a Sidhe of metals to build out of vanity or need."
[18:10] <@John> "S'just asking to have it nicked though, isn't it?" John says.
[18:10] <@Kotono> "Coins, coins, coins, coins," The kobold sings, "Shiny heaven, oh in shiny heaaaaveaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnn!"
[18:11] <Feather> "Yeah. Thought it might make a good trading center or inn or something, but would just tempt too much, eh?"
[18:11] <Gildas> "We tempt enough craziness as it is." Gildas adds.
[18:12] * Feather picks the nearest diamond, peering into it.
[18:14] <@Kotono> "Gildas has a point. Besides, look at us," Myann sits back, "One, we'd offend some Sidhe or another with the gold and end up having to deal with it. Two, another would think it's the clarion call to try and join my," Air quotes come out for this, "Court." Air quotes stop with a sigh, "Three, some dragon would come by and try and mate with it or something, I don't know."
[18:14] <@Kotono> The diamond is beautiful. It's quite diamond-like as you'd expect.
[18:15] * Feather tries eating it! With the gem trees of below, it doesn't quite feel as ridiculous as it had previously
[18:15] <@Kotono> OOC: Like swallowing it or chewing it?
[18:17] <Feather> OOC: Does it matter? I'll try chewing and see if it chips a tooth or something, if that doesn't work then swallowing is the way!
[18:17] <@Kotono> OW! Chewing it isn't a good idea, but a quick healing spell fixes that. From there, the diamond is swallowed. OOC: Make a Fortitude save.
[18:18] <Feather> roll 1d20+12
[18:18] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d20+12 and gets 30." [1d20=18]
[18:18] <@Kotono> roll 1d100
[18:18] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d100 and gets 50." [1d100=50]
[18:19] <@Kotono> The diamond goes down. Feather feels stronger within, like a fire is being stoked. OOC: Loot.
[18:20] * Feather keeps going, no longer feeling quite so silly about the whole thing. Since it seems like eating all six of them will be the best, there's no reason to stop!
[18:20] <@Kotono> OOC: Eating the rest? Okay, make another fort save.
[18:21] <Feather> roll 1d20+12
[18:21] * Hatbot --> "Feather rolls 1d20+12 and gets 23." [1d20=11]
[18:21] <@Kotono> roll 1d100
[18:21] * Hatbot --> "Kotono rolls 1d100 and gets 70." [1d100=70]
[18:22] <@Kotono> Feather pops the diamonds down like candy. Each one makes him feel warmer inside. At the same time, his skin takes on a glossier sheen. Not greasy at all, oddly, just shinier. OOC: Loot again.
[18:23] <@Kotono> Myann watches all the while, before asking, "Are you alright?"
[18:24] <Gildas> Gildas blinks, then rubs his eyes. "That'll take some getting used to."
[18:24] <@John> "You look like you're catching a fever or something," John says warily.
[18:24] * Feather scratches his cheek. "Yeah. Feels pretty good, actually."
[18:25] <@John> "Well, if it works for you," he shrugs.
[18:27] <@Kotono> Myann shrugs, tapping Feather's skin. "Nothing wrong with'" "Shiny!" The kobold approaches Feather, holding a magnifying glass up to Feather's arm. "Shiny!"
[18:29] <@Kotono> "You!" Myann gives the kobold a long, level look. "Feather is not your shiny to start mooning over!"
[18:29] <Feather> "Uh."
[18:29] <Gildas> Gildas lets out a small laugh. "Maybe we can use him to further impress other kobolds we meet."
[18:30] <@Kotono> "But shiny!" The kobold whines and shrinks back, "I want shiny things!"
[18:31] <Feather> "Yeah I'll just be getting a drink," Feather mutters, heading out.
[18:31] <@Kotono> Myann firmly wraps herself around Feather's arm - or would before Feather moves away. "Oh Feather, hold on."
[18:31] <Feather> "Coming, Myann-- oh, what's wrong?"
[18:35] <@Kotono> "A moment," Myann leads Feather to the opposite side of the room, "You know, planting season's over and..." her eyes travel down to her hands. "Maybe it's about time to do it, so I can wear that ring in public. While everyone's gossiping about the treasure instead of us."
[18:36] <Feather> "Sure. Could even spend as much of it as we want to!" he agrees.
[18:37] <@Kotono> "Sure could," Myann smiles, "Let's go announce it to them?" Myann glances back over at John and Gildas.
[18:39] * Feather grins back at her, and heads back with Myann. The drinks can wait, and there'll be plenty of those soon enough, anyway.
[18:41] <@Kotono> Going back is without incident. Myann's smiling as they return, "Sorry about that," she says the to the other two, "Feather and I have an announcement."
[18:42] <Gildas> Gildas turns his attention from the assuredly-excited kobold!
[18:42] <@John> "Hm?" John likewise turns their way.
[18:42] <Feather> "We're getting married!" Feather tells Gildas and John, keeping Myann between himself and the kobold at all times.
[18:42] <@Kotono> The excited kobold has gone back to mooning over the tall stacks of coins and sacks of treasures. He looks quite happy.
[18:43] <@Kotono> "Officially married," Myann smiles, leaning into Feather's side and curling into him. "Soon. Before some silly Sidhe get ideas about how to appreciate the wedding."
[18:44] <@John> "Aww, congratulations you two!" John smiles widely, reaching over to shake Feather's hand.
[18:44] <Gildas> Gildas smiles and claps his hands together. "Congratulations. I'm very happy for the both of you."
[18:45] * Feather shakes it with a matching happy grin.
[18:45] <@Kotono> "Thank you." Myann's all smiles, "We're going to have a nice ceremony and blow some money on it," she adds, "At the least, I'll fly over to Malaines and get some special fabric and drinks, and..." Trailing off, "I'm going to be busy, aren't I?" she adds.
[18:46] <@John> "S'always a project, but you need any help just ask," John tells her.
[18:48] <Gildas> Gildas decides now isn't the best time to rain on the parade by saying the Sidhe will probably end up inviting themselves... "Yes, I'll do whatever I can to help. I'm... not sure what that would be, but, so it goes."
[18:50] <@Kotono> "I'll get back to you on that. Tomorrow I'll fly to Malaines at least," she murmurs, "But I'll go talk to Forgar tonight so he can talk to you all tomorrow about his shop and those measures. Then..." Myann starts counting things on her fingers, "I'll need to get that cloth, and even if I cheat with the mushrooms a bit, it'll take some time. The Missuc an help, and then there's all the cooking
[18:50] <@Kotono> and the decorating, plus I'll want to talk to Rashen and do we even have a priest, since aren't human weddings supposed to have them?"
[18:51] <@John> "Gildas is a druid right, isn't that close enough?"
[18:51] <Feather> "Works for me."
[18:51] * Feather shrugs. "Never had a priest back home, really."
[18:52] <@Kotono> "That'll work," Myann ticks off, "I'll need to pick up some fancy sugars for baking too, the ones that cost a lot, so I'll need to bring a bit of gold, and then there's entertainment, so sussing out Eltia's a good idea, unless we get a traveling bard through. Sort of surprised we haven't seen one yet, but we might've missed one while we were away. Hm."
[18:53] <@Kotono> Going on from that, "Feather, Gildas, should we invite Kral or anyone from the circle? I should probably invite Hylath's father at least, since that's good social graces. Speaking of, I can check in about the refugees while I'm over there."
[18:54] <Feather> "The Missus's got family over there, don't she? Would be good to invite them too, and have them visit."
[18:55] <@Kotono> "Oh, and the Missus's family should come by for it if they're free," Nodding to Feather, "Just thought of it too. That vampire's not really the sort to invite for a bunch of reasons, and I don't really want Gildas sparkling during the ceremony anyway. Maybe that dwarf will stop by before then and we can invite him, but I suspect unless the timing's perfect he won't be able to stay."
[18:56] <Feather> "Sparkling?" Feather repeats, already getting lost in the myriad preparations.
[18:56] * @John starts to slowly and quietly edge away.
[18:56] <Gildas> "I can go to the Circle to ask them if they'd be interested." Gildas says, responding to one of many questions.
[18:57] <@Kotono> "By undead, he sparkles now. Remember?" Myann starts ticking off her fingers again, "Of course you'll need some nice clothes, but those are easier than a wedding dress," Myann says, "Oh, that would be good. Ask about Eltia while you're there, that could save us some time. Also politely make it understood that we'd rather the Dreamer has no part of this since she's a Sidhe. Bad idea to start
[18:57] <@Kotono> making exceptions. The fish and panther's good, though."
[18:58] <Feather> "But before that!" Feather exclaims. "We should celebrate! With drinks! Right now!"
[18:59] * @John more rapidly edges back in!
[19:00] <@Kotono> "Drinks, right. I'll need to ask the mushrooms to bring the right mushrooms," Myann nods, "But let's get some drinks for now!"
[19:00] <Gildas> Gildas just slowly nods.
[19:01] <@Kotono> OOC: Ready to move along now?
[19:01] <Feather> OOC: Yes
[19:03] <@Kotono> The next day sees Myann off to Malaines. The other three are caught by Forgar just after breakfast, "I have something to show you," he says.
[19:03] <@John> "What've you got?" John asks.
[19:05] <@Kotono> "A shop. That Rashen fellow had a house half-built that he's converting into a shop. The main room's done and I have a setup going," he explains.
[19:06] <Feather> "Hey, mind a dumb question?"
[19:07] <@Kotono> "No," Forgar says, cracking his neck as you walk along.
[19:07] <Feather> "You made all those scrolls and that Smiley bloke, and you know your way with magic. What about explosives, though?"
[19:08] <@Kotono> "Like kobolds? Some. It's easier to make a bunch of concussive fireballs than what the kobolds do, which is really its own branch of alchemy." As the party continues along, all casual down the dirt roads, past people farming fields and going to and fro, "Alchemy and magic are related, but they aren't the same field of study. I could probably pick it up if you gave me the material to work with."
[19:09] <Feather> "Just figuring what we could do to make the town more unique. And better defended, you get me? What about building more golems to guard it, or help out with harvest, or even both? We've got plenty gold now, so any stone we need for them, we'll get easy enough."
[19:10] <@John> "Oh, a golem would be great for milling," John pipes up. "Save us doing it ourselves since windmills or watermills aren't easy to manage round here."
[19:11] <Gildas> "I think we could potentially animate the trees, if we wished to." Gildas speaks up. "I don't know if that would bring unwanted Fairy attention, though..."
[19:11] <Feather> "Let's face it, we've got their attention as is. We just need to be sure we can politely refuse and turn them away. Or anyone else for that matter, if they're picking a fight."
[19:12] <@Kotono> "Golems take time and money, a lot of both. A typical golem's harder to build than a typical magic item,"  Forgar explains, "For Smiley? I spent about..." He pauses to do some obvious mental math, "5,000 gold based on the coins I've seen up here, just on the block of granite. A perfectly suited block of granite that weighed about two tons. Then there's the reagents, summoning circles and methods
[19:12] <@Kotono> to bind a spirit into the golem to animate it. It ran me about 45,000 gold coins, all said. Smiley was a damned good investment, but it's also a heavy investment."
[19:14] <Gildas> He nods. "That's true. I can work on the trees." He looks over to Forgar. "I might be able to help with the stone, but... well, that doesn't sound like where most of the work went..."
[19:15] <@Kotono> "Yes. Most o fit's hard spellwork and using the reagents properly, then summoning the spirit. If you botch the spirit summoning, you ruin the entire attempt and materials." A shrug follows, long and lazy. "If you need discount price guardians fast, use that scroll of awakening from my shop to animate a tree. Should make something like a treant. You already have fairy problems, so the drawback's
[19:15] <@Kotono> negligible."
[19:15] <Feather> "That sounds like a lot, but we brought back plenty and got nothing to spend it on," Feather muses. "How about you get settled in properly, and then look around for what golems would go best to help the town?"
[19:15] <@John> "What about a cheap one?" John asks. "Doesn't have to be much stronger or tougher than a human, or even able to move... actually forget the golem, could you just make an enchanted mill that moves on its own?"
[19:16] <Gildas> "I think I can manage the trees myself. I'll try later and see what happens." Gildas adds with a nod.
[19:17] <@Kotono> "Probably, but human labor's much cheaper than magic," Forgar admits, "It's the sort of thing a king would build a status symbol. "
[19:18] <@John> "Yeah but even little towns have windmills or watermills," John says. "We don't have any of that, and the amount of people the town's getting it's going to be hard to make flour for everyone by hand."
[19:18] <Feather> "Maybe, but it's our way of giving back," Feather tells him. "Not like it'd help to just hand out gold, but this way we can power a mill and the like without forcing someone to do it. Helps everyone out."
[19:20] <@Kotono> "I'll look into it then," Forgar says, as you approach the half finished house. The main building's done, and Rashen is directing workers in making attachments. It's just a bit outside of town. You can see Brutes there, hauling a hunk of stone. Robert's there as well, giving the entire thing a look over. Hylath's cheering them on, a refrain of go go go. As you watch, damned if the workers aren't
[19:20] <@Kotono> working faster than they should be.
[19:21] * Feather decides not to mention it and hope the problem goes away on its own.
[19:24] <@Kotono> Once inside, you see that the main room has been converted to half store and half workshop. The measures and scales from Artisan Granite have been set up, as well as a few improptu scroll cases and tables. Waving at the scroll cases, "I'll have something better there later. For now, this," Gesturing at the tools, "These should help appraising difficult object and magic item analysis. Got an item
[19:24] <@Kotono> that you can't figure out? It'll help you see new insights."
[19:26] <Gildas> "I can think of a few things." Gildas nods. "That's very good to have."
[19:27] <Feather> "How about we take a look at that longsword? The one Myann didn't like?"
[19:27] <@John> "Good idea, since she's not around right now."
[19:28] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay, who's going to try?
[19:29] <Gildas> OOC: I can.
[19:30] <@Kotono> OOC: Go for it and include the +2 bonus.
[19:31] <Gildas> roll 1d20+14+2
[19:31] * Hatbot --> "Gildas rolls 1d20+14+2 and gets 26." [1d20=10]
[19:34] <@Kotono> The morning passes, but by noon Gildas has results! OOC: Loot.
[19:35] <Gildas> "The dwarves down there really didn't like the 'Lords and Ladies' very much." Gildas concludes.
[19:36] <@Kotono> "News to me," Forgar comments, having watched the proceedings. "We were cautious about the fairies, but who isn't? Thane Stonar's father probably got his hands on those, just in case."
[19:37] <Feather> "Who isn't," Feather agrees. "Oh, how about you? Anything more you need to feel right at home?"
[19:42] <@Kotono> "Half my height, but that's not realistic," Forgar remarks, "I'm fine for now. Busy."
[19:48] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay, anything else here?
[19:48] <Feather> OOC: None from me
[19:48] <@John> OOC: nope
[19:48] <Gildas> OOC: I have some more stuff to look through, but I can do that on my own time later.
[19:50] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay, one more scene for the day, then. Line coming.
[19:53] <@Kotono> Later that day, the trio is having a drink at the tavern. Samuel serves them as people chat about. "Tavern's really filling up these days, sure as shit." Samuel remarks.
[19:54] <@John> "People like to drink," John shrugs, doing some drinking of his own.
[19:55] <@Kotono> As peopledo just that, the conversation in the tavern stops. Samuel looks over your shoulders, "Shit up a creek, do you see that?"
[19:56] <@John> "What?" John looks over in the same direction.
[19:57] <@Kotono> At the door of the tavern is a tall man. About six feet tall, he is clad in neon-green clothes. Breeches, knee socks, tunic and greatcoat. His hair is the same shade as his loud clothing. His eyes are narrowed, his gaze sweeping around. Besides his fashion statements, he looks human.
[19:58] <@John> "S'a pretty funny getup," John comments.
[19:58] <Gildas> Gildas glances over!
[19:59] * Feather raises his drink to salute the man when he looks over.
[20:02] <@Kotono> The man comes right on over to Feather. "We need to talk," he says in a low, deep voice. "But it's not safe to talk here. Eyes and ears everywhere. They're watching. A mile out of town to the north from the northernmost house. Look up." Then suddenly the color of his clothes change, blending in. You can barely see him as he sprints off, out the door in a flash.
[20:03] <@Kotono> "What the shit?" Samuel mutters, staring at the spectacle.
[20:03] <@John> "Uh... you want us to come with?" John asks.
[20:04] <Feather> "I reckon I do. Let's go?" Feather offers, standing up and placing a coin on the counter. "Drinks on me when we get back."
[20:04] <@Kotono> "You're gonna need them," Samuel quips right back, snatching up the coin.
[20:05] * @John nods and gets up to go along on this mystical journey.
[20:05] <Gildas> Gildas hops off of his seat and nods.
[20:07] <@Kotono> The trip out of town is without incident. It's late in the early summer, the days long. It's not quite sunset when you're out int he Vastwoods. Besides a single trip by John, no serious annoyances slow you down. Looking up, you see the man in bright green sitting atop a branch 10ft up. As you see him, he nimbly leaps down and lands in a crouch. "Don't ask my name." he says shortly, "But I'm from
[20:07] <@Kotono> a group called the Chameleon Consortium and we need to talk."
[20:08] <@John> He wants to talk with Feather, John's just here in case things get weird! Er.
[20:09] <Feather> "So talk?"
[20:10] <Gildas> Gildas folds his arms and watches silently, but does try to focus on the unknown man's words for anything weird. OOC: I'll do a Sense Motive when he actually says something that's... Sense Motive...able.
[20:11] <@Kotono> "You've recently been down deep underground. So deep you went to another realm." His eyes constantly go between party members, never resting long. "Don't ask how we know. It's not safe. Did you encounter creatures that appeared like stretched flesh, rising up from the ground and surrounded by fire?"
[20:11] * @John nods.
[20:12] <Feather> "Is it safe for you to ask?" Feather asks skeptically.
[20:12] <@Kotono> "Reports are that they've entered an agitated state," The man says, "Is this true? And yes, it's safe enough if I hurry."
[20:13] <Feather> "Just what do you want?"
[20:13] <@John> "I guess they were pretty pissy?"
[20:15] <@Kotono> "Alright. Dammit." He exhales, "Then it's been found or moved," he mutters. "It's safe to say that the Chameleon Consortium has an interest that those creatures stay quiet, so that they don't try coming up out of the underground. Be warned - they're creatures designed to be weapons. You'd be safer not knowing anything more or what they're weapons against.  Just try and avoid them. Unless one's
[20:15] <@Kotono> really upset, they won't care about a bunch of humans."
[20:16] <Feather> "You're thinking they'll come all the way here?"
[20:17] <@John> "Wouldn't they have to fly though?"
[20:17] <@Kotono> "If they do," he says grimly, "It's too late and we've failed." A grim look follows, "But you'll have bigger problems to worry about, then. But don't worry - we'll work to set this right."
[20:18] <Feather> "Now that we've had this talk, wanna tell us what's going on? Might help you lot. Might be forewarned."
[20:19] <@John> "Hey... does this have anything to do with a knife?" John asks.
[20:20] <@Kotono> "Something stirred up those creatures down there. It's safe to tell you that," he glances around carefully, "The way they are, something important to them's resurfaced-" he stops cold at that, turning to John. "How do you know that?!"
[20:21] <Feather> "Actually tell us what's going on and we'll do the same?"
[20:21] <Gildas> Gildas blinks. "Why in the world would they have been stirred up because of that knife?"
[20:23] <@Kotono> "It's not just a knife. It's the Ourulgia!" He hisses low, "Dammit, dammit, dammit, this isn't safe," he mutters, "Fine. It's your skin. Those creatures were created to kill the Fair Folk a long time ago. The knife's one of their strongest weapons. We've been researching it for decades and haven't come any closer...and are you saying you found it? You have it?!""
[20:24] <Feather> "We heard that, about those things. From what we could tell, it was their gift to a bunch of dwarves? Point is, why do you wanna get it?"
[20:24] <@John> "Well no, we hid it," John says. "The massively trapped chest was a bit of a giveaway, so we put it where no one would look."
[20:26] <@Kotono> "I don't care if they get it or not, I just want them to calm down. If they get agitated enough to try and rise up, the Fair Folk will come to fight them," he hisses low, "The underground - the underground with the dwarves, kobolds, ants and all that, not the lower layer - will become a warzone! It'll be a disaster."
[20:27] <Feather> "So you wanna go down there with us, get the stupid knife and hand it to those stretchy, twitchy bastards?"
[20:28] <@Kotono> "If it'll calm them down, yes," He answers right away.
[20:28] <Feather> "So it might not?"
[20:29] <@Kotono> "I presume it would, since tha'ts probably what upset them in the first place," he replies, before glancing over his shoulder.
[20:29] <@John> "Wait, if they have the knife won't that make them feel all bold and try to take on the fey even more?" John points out.
[20:31] <Feather> "How about you just go and tell them we're not fairies? They got this dumb idea when we were there. Might help more than the knife. Fact is, tell them we wouldn't take the knife if we were fairies, so they should stop being dumb about it and settle back down?"
[20:32] <@Kotono> "You drive a hard bargain," Feather and John get suspicious looks, "But I accept. Diplomacy might work."
[20:33] <Feather> "Look, it was just dumb! I used a bunch of languages to try and talk to them since they babbled in some weird one. Turns out they attack anyone speaking Sylvan on sight. That's fucking wrong! They know it, too! They even used it themselves!"
[20:35] <@Kotono> "Hmm...if that's the case, then maybe...yes! I accept!" The man nods, before his clothes cause him to be a blurred outline and nothing else. He turns and sprints off as fast as his feet will carry him.
[20:35] <Feather> "Weird."
[20:37] <Gildas> "I... still don't see what the fuss is about." Gildas says with a shake of his head.

Ebiris

[18:20] <@Kotono> It's another morning. Robert and the Missus invited the party over to breakfast. Myann's back and with the party, everyone sitting around and chattering. Missy-Anne's there, sitting right next to John. She's virtually glowing as she looks over her new comb. It's then that Hylath runs in, fast as he can. His clothing is stained with dirt and dried mud. Grass and twigs are stuck in his hair as he
[18:20] <@Kotono> comes to a shuddering halt within. "Everyone!" he calls, voice ragged.
[18:20] <@John> "What is it?" John asks, half-rising out of his seat at the elf's panicked manner.
[18:20] <Feather> "We under attack?" Feather asks alertly.
[18:21] <Gildas> Gildas looks over, since the other two asked the questions already.
[18:21] <@Kotono> Myann's attention turns right towards Hylath, as Missy-Anne frowns lightly. "Oh no, we aren't under attack, are we?"
[18:23] <@Kotono> "No! There's a caravan coming!" he blurts out, "About twenty people carrying heavy packs, as well as a floating carpet full of goods!" Pausing to snatch a twig out of his hair, "I fell asleep in th eforest last night. It's...a long story."
[18:23] <Feather> "That's... good, right?"
[18:24] <@John> "Oh, nice. They might have some good stuff we can trade for," John says. Then he sits down and works on finishing his breakfast.
[18:28] <@Kotono> "That's the point, in case you want to make a good impression," Hylath says.
[18:28] <@Kotono> Myann hmms, "We do have a lot of gold to spend," she murmurs, "I wonder what they have?"

[18:30] <Feather_> "How about we go and see after breakfast?"
[18:31] <@Kotono> "I don't know about that, word of mouth should have spread awhile now," Missy-Anne pipes up. Holding her dragon comb and blushing, "Especially with such amazing heroes here," she says, eyes on John.
[18:35] <@John> "Do we really get that many people coming and going around here?" John asks her, pausing in his eating.
[18:38] <@Kotono> "Some," Robert says, "Passersby who stay a night. You miss a lot of them with all of y'all's adventures."
[18:39] <@Kotono> "Mmm-hmm," The Missus says, putting down her spoon as she finishes her porridge. "We're still out in the middle of nowhere, so getting a big trading group is a step forward."
[18:40] * @John nods. That makes sense. Finishing off his own breakfast he gets up. "Well I'll go get my money now. Want to come along Missy-Anne and see if they've got anything good?"
[18:42] <@Kotono> "Yes!" Her smile blooms like the sunrise as she stands up, going to follow John. OOC: Okay, y'all have any interest or plans here on checking out the traveling merchants?
[18:43] <Feather_> OOC: sure
[18:43] <Gildas> OOC: Yes. I'll focus on books but we'll see if anything else catches his eye
[18:48] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay. More coming then.
[18:50] <@Kotono> Soon enough the trading hall has occupants! Watching, you see the caravan march into town. It's perhaps two dozen humans, wearing travel stained clothes and lugging heavy packs. They walk in a loose square, with large floating rug in the center. The rug is about 20ft by 20ft, the edges lined with heavy sacks that don't seem to weigh it down at all. The rug is laden with heavy goods and cloth
[18:50] <@Kotono> covered things. Leading the procession is a middle aged man with a luxurious gray beard. He hums to himself as he approaches, "Salutations!" he calls, "I'd heard of a new town in this neck of the woods!"
[18:51] <Feather_> "That's us!" Feather calls back. "Welcome!"
[18:52] <Gildas> Gildas nods to them in greeting!
[18:57] <@Kotono> As the rest head into the trading hall, "I've heard a lot of things, a lot of things! The ballad of the dragonslayers, no?"
[18:58] <@John> "That's those guys," John indicates Feather and Myann and Gildas.
[19:12] <@Kotono> "Impressive, impressive. Well, let me tell you, we have just the things for gold from a dragon's horde!" He declares, "Give us a few minutes to set up and come see the sights."
[19:14] <Gildas> Gildas leans over and quietly asks the others, "Should we tell them most of it didn't actually even come from the dragon?"
[19:14] <@Kotono> Myann shrugs. "Does it matter? Gold's gold."
[19:17] <Gildas> "I think it ruins the fantasy." He says with a small smile.
[19:19] <@Kotono> Soon enough the trading hall is full. People head on in, curious as to the wares. Several tables have been set up. The themes seem to be: Pottery, spices, exotic cloths, wood, jewelry, magic, weapons, armor. Each has a couple of tables dedicated to them.
[19:21] <Feather_> "Think you could find something nice from there?" Feather asks Myann, nodding at the exotic cloth section.
[19:22] <@Kotono> "Oooooh," Missy-Anne looks around, holding John's hand. "Do you see that jewelry over there?" she murmurs.
[19:23] <@Kotono> "I probably could," Myann says, "Let's take a look.
[19:23] <@Kotono> "
[19:24] <Feather_> "I was thinking I'll go take a look at what magic they all have," Feather admits. "I'm rubbish with clothing, anyway."
[19:24] <@John> "Yeah, lets go have a look," John says obligingly. Not like he has much else to spend his money on.
[19:26] <Gildas> Gildas looks towards the spices with some curiosity but goes to look at everything.
[19:28] <@Kotono> "It's not that bad," Myann says, as...OOC: John, hop into #evil and Gildas into #terror.
[19:29] <@Kotono> The cloth section is full of bolts of cloth. The woman there is dusky-skinned and wears a tight blue dress. Her eyes are mostly closed as she greets you, "Hello! We have everything from cotton to silks to airweave!" Bolts of cloth and samples are all abou ton the tables and stacked up behind them.
[19:30] <Feather_> "What's airweave?" Feather asks at the unfamiliar term.
[19:37] <@Kotono> "Air wisp spiders weave it," The woman explains, voice far away as she finishes closing her eyes. "You have to fly up to the tops of the jungles of Aranadar and harvest it while holding them off. It makes the softest and nicest clothes you can imagine." Lowering her voice into a conspiratorial whisper, "And the best special clothes for a special night."
[19:37] <Feather_> "And it's the most expensive one you've got."
[19:43] <@Kotono> "Naturally," Myann murmurs, reddening slightly.
[19:46] <@Kotono> "It's worth every copper," The saleswoman says, going to one bolt in particular. It's sheer, uncolored silk. It ripples with light, occasionally turning transparent. "Come here and touch it. Feel how soft it is."
[19:51] <Feather_> Feather obediently runs his hand over the airweave fabric, glancing at Myann and asking, "What do you think?"
[19:52] <@Kotono> Myann goes over for a touch. "Oh, it is nice," she murmurs, giving it a gentle rub. It's very soft and giving, but doesn't tear at all. It brings to mind soft cotton, but smoother. "I like it."
[19:53] <Feather_> "What about normal clothing?" Feather asks. "It's so transparent, so if you wanted some made with that do you just color it or, I dunno, use cotton on the outside?"
[20:02] <@Kotono> "You color it. Dyes eliminate the transparency," The woman explains, patting the silk. "It takes dyes very well."
[20:02] <@Kotono> Still patting it, "Really? How much is it?"
[20:10] <@Kotono> "100 gold a yard." she says smoothly, "It's big money, but you pay for the softness and the quality."
[20:11] <Feather_> "I like the feel and we can afford it even a couple outfits each, but it's up to you," Feather tells Myann honestly. "If you want to get it or if you think the price's fair or what."

[19:30] <@Kotono> John and Missy-Anne head on over to the jewelry table. Here a smiling young woman with blonde hair awaits. "Hi hi hi!" She gushes, "Would you like some jewelry?"
[19:32] <@John> "Well that depends, doesn't it?" John says, not really having much of an eye for this stuff. "See anything you want, Missy-Anne?"
[19:33] * Joins: Gildas (~rscuderi@6532248hfc76.tampabay.res.rr.com)
[19:41] <@Kotono> Missy-Anne squeezes John's hand as she looks over things, "How about something special?" she asks, looking over.
[19:42] <@Kotono> "Special? Well..." She kneels down and shuffles behind the table, taking out a wooden jewelry case. "I do have something very special in here."
[19:43] <@John> "What's so special about it?" John asks.
[19:47] <@Kotono> The box is opened. Within is a quartz crystal the size of a large toy ball. It's a pure sea-green color, sitting on a bed of satin. "This here is the Lover's Crystal. Legends say that lovers can hear each other's thoughts when they hold it."
[19:49] <@John> "Dunno about that. Reckon a bit of mystery keeps things interesting, right?" John says dubiously.
[19:55] <@Kotono> "It's also much too big," Missy-Anne frowns, "That's a paperweight, not jewelry."
[19:56] <@John> Since they're both on the same page John says, "What about necklaces or stuff like that?"
[20:05] <@Kotono> "Or rings," Missy-Anne adds.
[20:09] <@Kotono> Several boxes are taken out and opened, a plethora of necklaces and rings available. Silver, gold and othe precious metals are joined by a bounty of sparkling gemstones. "Hmmmm..." she murmurs as she looks over them, "I've always imagined someone special giving me a diamond ring for a special occasion," she murmurs, a blush spreading across her cheeks. "A very special occasion."
[20:11] <@John> While he's not oblivious to the hint, John certainly thinks it's a bit too early to be thinking about that so he points out a necklace with dangling gold laced with jewellery. "What about that, I think that'd suit you," he says quickly.

~

[19:32] <@Kotono> Gildas wanders over to the spices first, intent on seeing everything. Here's an older man who sits, his skin long tanned by hours in the sun. He's rather bony all told and wears winter clothes. "Young man, do you need something to spice up your drinks and warm your body, or something to cool it instead? Hmm, hmm, hmm, I have canyon mint and dried purple pepper."
[19:33] <Gildas> "I was hoping to purchase something as a wedding present. Something that goes especially well with mushrooms." Gildas says with a smile.
[19:43] <@Kotono> "Mushrooms, you say? You'd want to start with garlic and add some pepper from Rodeon," he says, tapping one jar in particular. "You fry the mushrooms in a pan and season them just so. Someone's marrying a real cook, aren't they?"
[19:45] <Gildas> Gildas ponders that last part. "Yes, I believe so. In that case, then, I'd be interested in the Rodeon pepper and whatever garlic you believe to go best with it."
[19:49] <@Kotono> "How much do you want? The garlic's 3 gold a pound and the pepper's 20 gold a pound."
[19:51] <Gildas> Gildas ponders that too. "What's a good ratio of garlic to pepper?"
[20:10] <@Kotono> "About 1/3rd more garlic than pepper," he replies after a moment's thought. "It's also good if you ever run into a vampire."
[20:12] <Gildas> Gildas laughs a small bit at that. "Good to know. In that case... How about two pounds of the pepper and two and a half of the garlic, please."

[18:06] <@Kotono> "Done," Said goods are produced, measured and bagged. "So who's getting married, young man?"
[18:08] <Gildas> He gestures over to Feather and Myann. "I've never been to a wedding, but hopefully this sort of present will be appreciated."
[18:10] <@Kotono> "Are you kidding? Weddings are great! You watch them, eat your fill and get drunk! Then, if you don't like someone, you get into fistfights once the bride and groom are gone. It's great!" Grinning by the end of it, "Why, this one wedding turned into a riot that night!"
[18:14] <Gildas> Gildas smiles and nods, taking out 68 gold to pay for the goods. A little extra, by his math, but whatever! "Hopefully there aren't any fistfights at this one."
[18:14] <@Kotono> OOC: Also yes, post the expense in loot.
[18:14] <Gildas> OOC: NO!
[18:17] <@Kotono> OOC: Anything else you wanted to check out?
[18:18] <Gildas> OOC: Not in the spices.
[18:18] <Gildas> OOC: I'll take a look at magic next though, if that's okay.
[18:23] <@Kotono> OOC: All of you are going to magic, so I'll move you into #dunes shortly.

[18:02] <@Ko-Nitoriisnotaprincess> "Oh, that's lovely," Missy-Anne gives it a look, "Can I see it?"
[18:02] <@Ko-Nitoriisnotaprincess> The blonde produces it, passing it over. Missy-Anne gives it a close look, "Oh, it's beautiful," she murmurs.
[18:03] * Ko-Nitoriisnotaprincess is now known as Kotono
[18:03] <@John> "Yeah, we'll have that then," John says, trusting something shiny to distract her from any hints of nuptials.
[18:08] <@Kotono> "It's 150 gold," The jeweler says brightly, "With all respects, sir and madam, this is an expensive piece. Is that a problem?"
[18:10] <@John> "Nah, it's fine. Got more money than I really can do anything with these days," John admits, hefting his bulging coinpurse and collecting the requisite amount. "There you go, that should keep you in style Missy-Anne."
[18:10] <@Kotono> "John," Giving the jeweler a bored, vaguely contemptous look, "Can more than take care of something like that." She leans into his side at that, an arm going around him.
[18:11] <@Kotono> OOC: Post the expense in loot.
[18:12] <@Kotono> "Thank you!" The young woman's eyes widen at the money, only giving Missy-Anne the slightest dirty look. "Is there anything else you're interested in?"
[18:12] <@Kotono> "John," Missy-Anne says, "Could you put the necklace on me?"
[18:15] <@John> "Sure," he takes it off of her and then turns out of her embrace to face her, sliding his arms over her shoulders and under her hair so he can clasp it at the back of her neck. Stepping back to admire it and what it highlights he smiles, "Looks good on you, alright."
[18:17] <@Kotono> Missy-Anne is radiant, smiling and blushing at the same time. "I love it!" She says, throwing her arms around John.
[18:19] <@John> Giving her a nice hug back he turns to the saleswoman to thank her, "Thanks a bunch," before asking, "Any other stalls you want to look at, Missy-Anne?"
[18:21] <@Kotono> A kiss on the cheek follows before Missy-Anne says, "With all the magic around here, I'm sort of curious about that," she remarks.
[18:23] <@John> "Sure we'll go over there. Bye," he says to the jewellery seller before wandering towards the magic section with Missy-Anne in arm.

[18:01] <@Ko-Nitoriisnotaprincess> "We can afford it," Myann agrees, "We'd need a fair bit, though..." she pauses and counts on her fingers, mushrooms rising up around her feet, one for each finger she counts. "4 yards to be sure," she decides, "That's for plenty extra and allowing for a mistake or two."
[18:02] <Feather_> "Four yards it is."
[18:03] * Ko-Nitoriisnotaprincess is now known as Kotono
[18:04] <@Kotono> "Thank you!" Smiling wide now, "That'll be 400 gold coins."
[18:04] <@Kotono> "I'll get it," Myann says, "Back in a couple of minutes."
[18:07] <Feather_> Feather nods at Myann, asking the saleswoman, "It comes with dyes?"
[18:11] <@Kotono> Once Myann is gone, "You bought 4 yards of this. It's on me," she remarks, "Once I see the gold. Dragon gold, isn't it?"
[18:12] <Feather_> "Some of it." He snorts. "You wouldn't believe the trouble we get into, when someone hears about it and tries to take us on. It's like offering their own gold, I just don't get it."
[18:13] <@Kotono> The clothier's eyes finally open again, "Mmm-hmmm. You're a warrior, alright. The enemies just offered up their gold by dying, eh?"
[18:15] <Feather_> "Happens a lot."
[18:17] <@Kotono> Mere moments later brings Myann back. She's barely gone a minute, carrying a sack full of gold coins with her. She steps up and counts off the coins, "That should be 400," she concludes. Meanwhile the cloth is measured, cut and provided. "Thank you!"
[18:18] <Feather_> Feather nods, hoping that Myann is happy. "Wanna take a look at the magic now?" he offers to her.
[18:20] <@Kotono> Myann nods, smiling, "Hold on, I'll just send the cloth home," she murmurs.
[18:27] <@Kotono> Myann quickly heads out and gets the cloth home. Once done, the two head to the magic tables. The others join you, the full group looking on. There are three tables lind up. The outer two are full of strange trinkets and crystal balls, odd little patterns drawn on the wood of the tables. The center is full of lit candles that produce no smoke or even heat. A large bookshelf is a bit behind them.
[18:27] <@Kotono> Standing behind the tables and before the bookshelf is a white-bearded old man. He wears a thick black robe, hood up to conceal most of his features. "Ho, ho, ho, ho, ho. Welcome. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Are you ready to learn the secrets of magic?"
[18:29] <@John> "Really just looking for interesting little magic items," John admits, having a look over the various trinkets on display.
[18:30] <Gildas> Gildas wonders about how appropriate or inappropriate it is to try and sort out the various items laid out with some magic of his own, so he just does nothing for now. His eyes are drawn to the bookshelf, though.
[18:32] <@Kotono> Missy-Anne looks on, staying close to John with an expression of wonder. Myann's gaze is more professional, glancing over the items here and there.
[18:32] <@Kotono> "All magic is interesting," The old man retorts, as meanwhile Gildas can see the bookshelf is full of books. The sort of ones that are thick and bound in leather.

[18:53] <@John> "Not really, plenty of water here," John says honestly.
[18:54] <Gildas> "Well, it's as you said -- we have some experience in these sorts of matters. Would you mind if we just look at all of it ourselves? I think that might be the most straight-forward way for us to decide to purchase anything." Gildas asks and offers at the same time.

[19:04] <@Kotono> Perhaps it is all the magic in play aroudn them, but it's hard to make much of anything out about the various items.
[19:07] <Gildas> Gildas scratches his chin. "I'm not as good at this as I like to think i am." He sighs, but gestures to the bookshelf. "What sort of collection do you have there?"
[19:07] <Feather> "Got anything to make you faster?" Feather asks plainly.
[19:09] <@John> "Anything you want?" John asks Missy-Anne, nothing really grabbing him.
[19:10] <@Kotono> Myann meanwhile watches curiously. Missy-Anne perks up, "Oh well...anything pretty?"
[19:12] <@Kotono> "Ah, my collection! A collection of spellbooks and grimoiries from across the world!" He turns to it, "This one here, for instance, is from the court wizard of the Son of the West." He pats the book's spine gently. Turning back after, "Speed? Allow me to get to your request, m'lady, in just a moment. Ahem. Yes, I have something that increases speed." He kneels down under the table, rustling
[19:12] <@Kotono> around in a rather large sack. He comes out with a pair of fur lined boots. "These."
[19:14] * Feather tries the boots on to see how they feel.
[19:15] <@Kotono> The boots feel sturdy and good, in a raging barbarian sort of way. His feet feel strangely ticklish with them on. "These boots," The man explains, "Can siphon off a little bit of your life eneryg and turn in into a momentary boost of agility. They are known as the Crisis Boots."
[19:16] <Gildas> Gildas looks thoughtful. "I don't think there's much I could wear since it all merges with me when I shapeshift..." He decides to let the others have their sales done first before he does anymore questioning about the books.
[19:16] <Feather> roll 1d20+15

[19:16] <@Kotono> "Oh, you're one of those?" Gildas gets the wizard's attention. "I can help with that."
[19:17] <@Kotono> Feather analyzes the boots. These boots are known as the Crisis Boots. As a swift action, the wearer can take 10 points of damage. In exchange, their movement speed is doubled for one round. This doubling applies after any other bonuses to speed.
[19:17] <Gildas> "Oh?" His attention is brought over. "I'm all ears, as they say."
[19:17] <@Kotono> Missy-Anne stays close and murmurs to John, "What do you think of all of these?"
[19:19] <@John> "Honestly none of it really grabs me," he admits, not having any need foe such random trinkets.
[19:19] * Feather tries to walk in the boots, then jumps once for good measure. Then, however, he shakes his head and takes them off. "Not what I was going for. Got me a spell that does that."
[19:23] <@Kotono> As the boots are taken back, "This," he brings out a little silverleaf clasp. "Attach it to any one item and it allows it to resist merging with you when you take another form."
[19:25] <Gildas> Gildas nods. "I've heard of those. I'd also be interested in some of your collection, if any of it is for sale."
[19:26] <Feather> "Don't suppose you got something to let me stab undead or golems better, just like I do dragons or any sorta monster?" Feather asks, sounding a bit dubious.

Also, after a pause, he withdraws a cloth headband. "This anklet here might help," he says, pushing it forward. [19:32] <@John> "Sometimes I guess? I mean, there's enough tall folks living here that it's not as hard though," John says. "What've you got?"
[19:36] <Gildas> Gildas digs around in his pack and produces the Ring of Amorphous Form and places it on the man's table. "This was from someone we met from down below. It may not be much to you, though. It allows you to transform yourself into liquid stone twice a day." Gildas taps his chin. "I have several scrolls, if those are of any interest to you as well." He ponders the most efficient way of showing them
[19:36] <Gildas> all off without dumping them on the table.
[19:40] <@Kotono> This anklet allows sneak attack, skirmish or other damage to be inflicted on creatures immune to it. However, you have to be using a weapon made of alchemical silver.
[19:41] <@Kotono> "This headband. Wear it while holding clothes and they adjust to your size. The changes are permanent," he says.
[19:42] <Gildas> "Could someone else wear the headband and change the clothes again or is it a one time thing?" Gildas asks.
[19:42] <@Kotono> The ring is carefully analyzed and studied. "I'll trade the clasp for this," he finally announces. "Are we agreed?"
[19:43] <Gildas> He nods. "Absolutely. I would still love to purchase some of your collection, if you're willing to part with any of it."
[19:43] <@John> "Yeah that sounds pretty good," John admits. "Hell everyone has clothes that are just a little bit off even if they're fine, so there'd be plenty of use for it. How much?"
[19:44] <Feather_> "Hey, that ain't half bad," Feather muses, studying the anklet. "Want a sword that cuts right through ghosts while it protects you?"

[19:45] <@Kotono> With that, rings are exchanged. After, "I'll take 120 gold for it," he says to John.
[19:46] <@John> That's a steal! John counts out some money and quickly hands it over to the wizard.
[19:48] <Feather_> "If you don't like swords, gold's fine too...."
[19:50] <@Kotono> The gold is taken! With that done, the wizard turns to Feather. "Let me see it?" OOC: Which sword is it? PM me the stats.
[19:51] <@Kotono> "This is acceptable. Are we agreed?" The wizard asks to Feather.
[19:51] <Feather_> "Got any silver weapons? A scimitar, maybe?"
[19:51] <@Kotono> OOC: Post -minus greatsword, FEather.
[19:55] * Quits: Nerem (Riovannes@75-172-80-138.tukw.qwest.net) (Ping timeout)
[19:56] <@Kotono> With that taken and done, "The books, the books. I'm hesitant to sell the collection," he admits, stroking his beard. "I do have a few reference books I can part with for the right price..." After he turns to Feather, "One. Here," he produces a sheathed short sword.
[19:58] <Gildas> "Reference books would be fine. I'm trying to start my own collection, so whatever you have to offer would be fine." He says with a smile.
[19:58] <@Kotono> Three books are produced, "150 gold, total."
[19:59] <Gildas> He nods and produces the gold in return. "Thank you."
[19:59] <Feather_> roll 1d20+15
[19:59] * Hatbot --> "Feather_ rolls 1d20+15 and gets 22." [1d20=7]
[20:01] <@Kotono> The sword's magic but Feather can't figure it otu.
[20:02] * Joins: NeremWorld (~Nerem@75-172-80-138.tukw.qwest.net)
[20:02] * Feather_ shrugs. "I'll hold out for a couple scimitars," he voices, satisfied with his purchases for now.
[20:03] <Gildas> "There's a weapon merchant here, isn't there?" Gildas asks. "Perhaps he might have something?"
[20:04] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay. The weapon merchant's fairly routine stuff, just options to buy normal or masterwork things out of the SRD. If any of you need to grab a specific weapon, now's the time.
[20:05] <Feather_> OOC: Two masterwork alchemical silver scimitars, I'll post in loot
[20:05] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay, anything else?
[20:06] <Gildas> OOC: I can't think of anything I'd buy from the weapon vendor
[20:07] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay then. John
[20:07] <@Kotono> ?
[20:08] <@John> OOC: nothing for me
[20:09] <@Kotono> OOC: Anything else y'all wanna do here?
[20:09] <Gildas> OOC: Is the armor vendor the same as the weapon vendor?
[20:10] <@Kotono> OOC: Yes.
[20:11] <Gildas> OOC: Gildas would only be curious in checking out the wood vendor then
[20:12] <@Kotono> OOC: Okay. In the interests of finishing this up, it's mostly just various wood carvings and wood work. Is there anything you were looking for there?
[20:12] <Gildas> OOC: Something with mushrooms and birds
[20:13] <@Kotono> OOC: Entirely nabbable. Say it runs you 30 gold and you post that and the details.
[20:13] <Gildas> OOC: Done.
[20:15] <@Kotono> The next few days pass in a blur of preparation. It's a bit past dinner, the party sitting at Feather and Myann's house. In particular around the table, the remnants of dinner spread out before them. It's the sort of night that begs casual conversation over drinks. Myann just happens to be going on about a particular type of mushroom when John feels a strange fuzziness in his head. It's like
[20:15] <@Kotono> his head is a bell and it just got rung.
[20:16] <@John> "Mmm... 'scuse me," he says, standing up, "Reckon I need some fresh air." And with that excuse he goes outside in the hope some fresh air will alleviate his impending headache.
[20:17] <@Kotono> Myann pauses her discussion of mushrooms, "Sure. You alright?" she asks as he goes.
[20:17] <Gildas> Gildas nods to him and lets him do that, but looks over after him as he goes.
[20:19] <@John> "Just feeling a bit fuzzy," he tells her on his way out.
[20:21] <@Kotono> John heads outside. The strange feeling in his head slowly dulls as he gets gulps of the dusk-time air. It's a rather hot day, the sun's setting bringing merciful relief - as well as the recent burning trials down below. But as John gathers himself, there's another ringing in his head. This is followed by a voice saying, 'Hello?' In his mind. It's a woman's voice, somewhat distorted and sounding
[20:21] <@Kotono> far away. 'Can you hear me? If you can, I need help!'
[20:23] <@John> "Huh? Who's that?" John asks. Luckily his internal monologue goes through everything he says before he says it so he also thinks it!
[20:24] <@Kotono> 'My name is Lesea. I'm...I'm in this forest and...' You feel another bell-ring, this one softer. It's followed by a strange sensation...something to the north? 'The last of my mind's energy can direct you. I'm being chased by assassins and they're gaining. Help me, please!'
[20:26] <@John> "Right, hold on!" John tries to keep that strange 'north' sensation in mind in hopes that it'll act as something like a compass. Poking his head back into Feather and Myann's house he blurts out, "It's not a headache it's a magic message! Someone outside the village needs help, c'mon!" he waves at them to follow him before he's out the door and rushing off to the North!
[20:28] <@Kotono> Myann has a glass halfway to her mouth, frozen as John calls out. She slowly puts it down, "Oh, so that's what tonight's enter-, er...bad turn of phrase. We know what we're doing tonight, now."
[20:28] <Gildas> "Now we're being remotely asked for help." Gildas says with a small smile and moves to stand. Hey, you never know, she might be chased by undead." He goes fo follow after John!
[20:29] <@Kotono> "Coming?" Myann asks Feather, before taking dire panther form and giving chase to John.
[20:30] <Feather_> Feather runs after the others!
