<Kotono> ----
<Kotono> > Energy pours out of the party! At once a feeling of loss and weakness happens, as silvery light fills the room. Before you Macaron shudders and shifts, taking a breath. Then another and another! OOC: Loot.
<Kotono> > Jetina gasps, "Wha...?" is all she gets out.
<Kotono> <Pepo> Lowering his paw, Pepo goes to lick Macaron on the nose. 'Welcome back.' Ewww, dogsnot. Well, it had to be done.
<Kotono> <Lucy> This was a stupid idea. Lucy stifles a sigh and just settles for looking exhausted.
<Kotono> <Moore> Moore rubs at an eye again and stumbles a bit and falls on his rump. Oof.
<Kotono> Macaron slowly looks up, as Kamhoff kneels next to him. "Good dog," he murmurs, as the moon dog's coat becomes black once more.
<Kotono> "The spell didn't work right," Jetina murmurs, falling back onto her rear. She slowly rubs her face, groaning a little.
<Kotono> 'The moon. I remember the moon,' Macaron's voice can be heard by all, a dreamy sort of thing that sounds half asleep. 'The moon in the sky at night. It's so important.'
<Moore> "It... probably has something to do with this place we're in." Moore suggests, pulling himself back to his feet. Moore looks over to Macaron with a smile.
<Pepo> 'What's a moon?' Pepo wonders.
<Kotono> "You damned idiot, slinking off without telling me anything!" Kamhoff huffs, petting Macaron all the while.
<Kotono> 'It hangs in the sky with...I don't know,' Macaron says, 'It's part of a pair. The moon and...I don't know. The moon is part of the night and the other is part of...something.' Slowly the hound rises, 'I seem to be fully functional and alive. My mind is clear.' Kamhoff gets a long look, 'We really must have words over your magic at some point, but...' Kamhoff's face gets a good licking, 'I
<Kotono> suppose I'm back and able to move now.'
<Kotono> "Ach!" Old Kamhoff laughs at that, "Fine, fine. Down, Macaron, down!"
<Moore> OOC: Was Moore able to hear what Pepo had said to Kamhoff earlier?
<Lucy> "I will be in my lab," Lucy says curtly, slinking away.
<Pepo> OOC: about the death from the ground? Yeah sure.
<Moore> OOC: OK
<Moore> Moore blinks and then looks over at Pepo. "Actually, Mister Pepo... you said something about being attacked in two days?"
<Pepo> 'Yes,' Pepo includes everyone in this. 'Something from the ground will try and kill me specifically in two days. So I would prefer we were at sea by then.'
<Moore> Moore blinks again. "'Something'? That's awfully... hm. But wouldn't you be safer here than at sea? If it attacked you at sea anyway then..."
<Pepo> 'It would need to fly to be able to reach the boat, which hasn't been suggested by my divinations.'
<Moore> Moore nods. "Well, I guess we'll figure something out."
<Pepo> 'I already have figured something out. It involves being far from land.'
<Moore> "Well... right, I understand that, but I think we should talk with everyone else before we just proceed with something like that." Moore says. "I don't know if the others have business here."
<Pepo> Well if everyone proves stubborn he can find another boat, so Pepo says nothing more on the subject.
<Kotono> The next day comes. Meeting with Aria at the library finds an interesting trip. Great tables are being set up in the streets, while every baker, butcher and grocer works in a frenzy. When you reach Aria, she has a tray of muffins and juices for the party. "Excellent, you aren't late to your own day of victory," she remarks.
<Kotono> Jetina tags along, but the others don't.
<Moore> Moore doesn't recall them being late before either but he simply smiles.
<Pepo> Pepo takes in the proceedings with manifest disinterest. Though there should be good food later so that keeps him around.
<Lucy> "Why thank you, Miss Aria!" Lucy chirps, accepting a glass of juice. She raises it in salute, adding, "To Hillmar's victory~"
* Veren nods to Aria.
<Veren > "Thank you."
* Veren placidly drifts over to the food and picks up a muffin and begins eating.
<Kotono> "Victory," The muffins and juice are quite good - fresh and hot and cold and fresh, respectively. "Veren, here's something for you," She snaps her fingers, a book appearing next to Veren.
<Moore> Moore will fly over for a muffin too. Mmm, muffins.
* Veren reaches out with his free hand to take it and inspects it.
<Kotono> It looks to be a book about various types of humanoids, titled, "The Complete Guide to Humanoids, Humans and other similar Creatures." At this Aria says, "That should help your shapeshifting once you read it."
<Veren > "... Thank you. Speaking of that, I'm told you're the one to speak to in order to find a way to employ me skills here."
* Veren tucks the book away for a bit later.
* Lucy nibbles on a muffin as she peers at Veren's book curiously.
<Kotono> "Yes, we can employ you," she says, "We need people of your skills to discreetly work. It comes with a salary and responsibilities. You may not be used all the time, but when you are, you're expected to serve excellently."
<Pepo> Feeling bored, Pepo decides to entertain himself by gracing his presence upon anyone that looks allergic or afraid of cats. Because he's a hero today, and that deserves special privileges.
<Kotono> Jetina settles in, munching on a muffin. On seeing Pepo starting to wander, "Here Pepo," she says, patting her lap.
* Veren nods.
<Veren > "This is acceptable, within reason."
<Moore> "Along the same lines, I'd like to offer my own services... but, well, it's probably best left until after all of this is over." Moore says with a smile.
<Pepo> On the other hand being petted is also acceptable, so he goes over and jumps onto Jetina's lap.
<Lucy> As people seem to be talking about employment and she has that covered, Lucy starts looking around for a baker whose space she could invade and usurp for her own purposes.
<Kotono> As Pepo gets petted and is given affection, "I can safely say any of you can find gainful employment here," Aria says, "Even Pepo the cat. Especially, perhaps, since there's interest in working with mind magic."
<Moore> Moore nods. "Very good."
<Veren > "I have a limited bit of mind magic as well. I am not nearly as powerful as Pepo, however."
<Pepo> Employment suggests all sorts of responsibilities, which Pepo doesn't really care for. So he ignores Aria, simply enjoying being petted.
<Kotono> "Of course, getting Pepo to work..." Jetina chuckles, "Cats aren't the most fervently driven, are they?"
<Kotono> "Still, if you wish to settle here, only say the word and I'll find a position for any of you," Aria says.
<Veren > "Pay him in top quality fish."
<Pepo> He wonders if any fish can top the one he arrived here with. Do fish like that even exist in this world? It's certainly a cruel thought.
<Lucy> The first step is acting like you belong right there. The second is being properly clad, and so Lucy appropriates a frilly apron. Then, space and tools acquired, she starts working with wheat-flour dough. First, get it nice and prepared. Then, form circles out of it. Next, fold them until you have triangles and then the fun part of using a sweet filling comes! She looks for dates as her first
<Lucy> choice.
<Kotono> OOC: If you're wandering off to cook, make a ...what skill do you use for your cooking?
<Lucy> OOC: My profession/baker!
<Kotono> OOC: Make a check on it real quick.

<Kotono> As Lucy works away, content in her arts of cooking, "Regardless, if any of you want it, it is here. In the meantime, you have people who want to meet you."
<Moore> Ooh, people. Moore smiles. "By all means! I'm glad things worked out so well."
<Veren > "We do?"
<Kotono> "Yes, this way," Aria leads the party over to Lucy, "...are you cooking?" she asks, a little look of frowning curiosity.
<Moore> "Miss Lucy loves baking." Moore adds with his own brand of helpful information.
<Lucy> "Oh! Hello again, Miss Aria! I'm afraid the cookies aren't ready yet," Lucy says apologetically. "It won't be long, at least?"
* Veren follows.
<Kotono> "There's...well, for cookies it can wait," Aria says, "But there's people who want to see you."
<Lucy> "I could step away for a little while?" Lucy offers. "It wouldn't do to hold everyone up like this."
