<Veren > OOC: Well, if we don't want to leave the town just yet, I guess check out the Mansion. That said, I don't have the Grave Strike dagger, so that's a bad fight for me... So unless Moore has a way to cover that spread, the dude with the fire staff?
<Veren > OOC: Or hit up Aria for a different/better scaled job.
<Moore> OOC: I'm fine with that. We can also check with Lekim if he has any leads on anything we can help with.
<Veren > OOC: I haven't met Lekim yet, I don't think, so either option is fine.
<Moore> OOC: You haven't. He sort of came up amidst the other stuff so I'm not sure what's happened with him.
<Kotono> OOC: Up to y'all which.
<Moore> OOC: Then let's go with Lekim first and Aria if that doesn't pan out.
<Veren > OOC: Sounds good.
<Kotono> Lekim is found in the same building as before, "Welcome," he lets you right on in, "You bring good news?"
* Veren inspects this 'Lekim' person and the room he's in.
<Moore> OOC: Would Kamhoff have given the okay for him to join? I never caught if he did.
<Kotono> Veren can see the following: He's a young man with sharp, regal features and long, curly brown hair. He wears puffy white pants and a scarlet tunic along with a red sash. Inside is a warm and comfortable laboratory. It's warm without a fire or any sign of heat. in one corner is a table and chairs, which is where you're taken amid the magical equipment.
<Kotono> OOC: It didn't come up since the light stuff hijacked.
<Moore> OOC: Okay.
<Veren > OOC: can I try sense motive or perception  to notice anything important about this guy? Since it's my first meeting and all, I'll let Moore take lead in the talking, but I want to be watching his body language and what-not.
<Moore> "We're... ah... hm." Moore considers for a moment. "I think it'll go fine, but we're actually hoping to provide our Captain with some proof of concept from your work. He's the type that appreciates physical things, you know? We were hoping we might be able to help get you some reagents or something to create a product we can take with us to him to prove you'd be a good choice to join."
<Kotono> OOC: Sure, make a sense motive check for reference. I'll tell you if he tells any whoppers, assuming you beat his unseen bluff check (if he lies).

<Kotono> Lekim goes and provides a pouch, "Here's some of the most recent batch," he says. "Will that do?"
<Moore> "Is there anything else you're in the middle of working on?" Moore asks as he takes the pouch. "Anything we could help with?"
<Kotono> "Just a few potions," he says, but goes and gets one, "A potion of jump." He passes it over.
* Veren takes it and slips it into the side pouch of his pack, it disappearing without so much as bulging the pocket.
<Moore> "Well, I'll take this back to our Captain and get back with you." Moore says with a smile. "If anything comes up, just come find us, okay?"?
<Kotono> "I will," Lekim promises, "Let me know soon!"
<Moore> "We'll return." Moore promises.
* Veren inclines his head in a minimal bow to the man before preparing to leave with Moore.
<Kotono> OOC: Going to Kamhoff now?
<Veren > OOC: Sure.
<Kotono> OOC: Okay, lemme move you to #dunes.

<Kotono> Light. All Lucy can see is light, painfully searing her eyes. She can see nothing but it, her body tumbling down the rough woods of the deck. She's almost in freefall, rolling down and blind. OOC: Chance to do something, you're blind right now and falling. G'luck.
<Lucy> With her eyes shutting down, Lucy uses her ears to listen for any threats. But that is only a secondary concern. Her primary worry is about falling too far, and so Lucy transforms into her true self and shoots straight up at the top speed her wings can manage!
