When the world goes boom (Calleigh)

[Yuthirin]

"Oh yeah, they were real nice! We even got to pick where we wanted to go! We went to Limbo! I met Renbuu! Sorta! He's not bad for a slaad! Do you guys have slaad here? Slaads are fun. Slaad. Oh, I could go for a salad. Slaad sounds like salad. I've had salads in lots of places. Some nicer than others. We went to lots of places, we've been traveling for a while. I bonded to Tryll like...uhhhhhhhhh...a looooooong time ago, and we've been doing stuff together since! We like to help out! Sometimes good people deserve a break from oppression, and we're good at loosening people up. Mostly. Sometimes they yell and throw things, but sometimes they throw parties too! I love parties! We had a party on Lifasa a long time ago. There was a war. Lots of war. Some bad guys had to get stomped! We helped! That's why we're here! We heard from the Silverbrow guys that Lifasa had gone to Hell, so we took the job and volunteered to help!"

[Merc]

"Ah."

[Anastasia]

"Ah." Rosa says it at exactly the same time, completely deadpan.

[Yuthirin]

Calleigh nods cheerfully. "And now we're here! I was talking to Tepen in the library who I think is a sage or maybe someone who likes wearing robes and dressing like a wizard and he was super nice and wrote down all the questions I asked! Even the big one at the end! There were some big, big books in there!"

[Anastasia]

"Yes, yes," Rosa murmurs, "There are big books in there."

[Merc]

"Small books too," Ithea says with a deadpan of her own.

[Anastasia]

"Books far and wide,' Rosa adds.

[Yuthirin]

Calleigh looks back and forth between the two women. "What's that even mean?"

[Anastasia]

"Grown up talk," Rosa smiles sweetly, "I daresay you shouldn't concern yourself over it."

[Yuthirin]

Calleigh's face turns frowny. It's not a nice look for her. "Hey! I'm totally a grown up!"

[Merc]

Ithea just watches the two with a straight face. If they start going 'Are not!' "Am too!' 'Are not!' 'Am too times infinity!' 'Are not times infinity plus one!' though, she makes no promises about not starting to laugh.

[Anastasia]

"Perhaps so," Rosa concedes after a moment, "Most courre are child-like no matter how old they are, but some do grow beyond that."

[Yuthirin]

"Well...fine. I admit that I'm sorta energetic. But I'm not a baby! I've seen some crazy stuff!"

[Anastasia]

"But to fight is hard," Rosa says, "But if you can manage it...can you?"

[Yuthirin]

"Yeah we can!" Calleigh cheers with a grin. "Ask Dana! We went to Ysgard and fought some soldiers and made them fight each other and then this mean valkyrie showed up and she threw lots of swords at us and ran away from Dana so we blew her out of the sky!"
