"Right," she says, flying along. Thus the party heads upstairs, a winding stair that grows broader as you go up. It ends at a little balcony, cut off abruptly by a shimmering rainbow wall. A prismatic wall, if Jaela doesn't miss her guess. The colors are pale, washed out, occasionally flickers of gray and black running through it.

"Let's make our own way!" Jaela suggests, switching to Gae Dioltas. "Hit the break after me!"

And then, she's off in a charge at the edge of the wall of rock anchoring the faded out prismatic barrier!

The wall shatters against Jaela's blow, goldenfire sizzling through stone as if it were mere ice. Unfortunately, you burst through and into a table - one full of vials, beakers and other things. A laboratory? You barely have a chance realize what, before dozens of liquids splash all over Jaela.

Reflex save, -5 penalty.

Jaela's just not fast enough. She's working against her own momentum, which is her own greatest enemy. It did a great job at breaking the wall, but not such a great job of avoiding the aftermath.

> roll 1d100 wild magic
<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d100 wild magic --> [ 1d100=7 ]{7}

But she's alright, feeling a little light headed and nothing else. Ahead lies a large laboratory. A core of four Necrolytes stand in the middle, 50ft away. The rest of the space is taken up by a veritable horde of strange, ethereal spirits. They resemble the ones you fought earlier, but seem less substantial. There's at least several dozen of them. Magic tomes, potions, instruments and far more also rise up, threatening. "Crush Aurora!" One of the Necrolytes roars, "Any who claim a head of Aurora's officers will be made into a true devil!"

Init here. Sprits start at 10ft away, just past the table you plowed through.

"Crush Lixer and his goons!" serves as Jaela's answering cry. "Put them all to rest!"

Congratulations, you got an interrupt.

Your wild magic effect was the following: 7: Next phrase spoken by the caster comes true, with a duration of 1 minute. For the sake of what this can and cannot do, treat this as a wish spell.

Who'd have thought, rolling a numerologically relevant number pays off. I'm laughing and shaking my head at it. Inject a little chaos into a devil's domain (via mixing way too many potions and invoking potion miscibility) and it trashes the devils. It's thematically appropriate, so I can only laugh and shake my head.

Suddenly, a great pressure bears down on the room, the Necrolytes and ghosts all crying out in surprise.

> roll 1d20+26 necrolytes fort
<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d20+26 necrolytes fort --> [ 1d20=12 ]{38}
> roll 1d20+8 ghosts fort
<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d20+8 ghosts fort --> [ 1d20=7 ]{15}
> roll 1d20+4 magical items
<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d20+4 magical items --> [ 1d20=16 ]{20}

Potions crack, tomes are crushed and more exotic things smash against the ground. The ghosts all groan, a majority of them popping loudly - which causes more and more to pop, a chain reaction all over. It consumes everything in a massive wave of suction - including the Necrolytes and the heroes!

Initiative interrupted. Everyone make Fortitude saves.

<Kobot> Kotono rolled 20d8 everyone halves this --> [ 20d8=100 ]{100}

The blast leaves everyone momentarily dazed. By the time everyone recovers, the room is a mess. Eddies of eldritch power ripple through it like waves of water, parts of it shimmering and others opaque and seemingly solid air. The Necrolytes are out cold from the combo, the center of the room little more than a vortex of magical energies.

Free act. So that happened. Guess chaos always finds a way.
