Everyone huddles behind the barrier, 'Good luck,' Mirima calls to Mirajane, a chorus following from the others. Mirajane comes out from behind the barrier and advances, then suddenly WOOSH! She advances to the barrier, which promptly collapses. About 300ft ahead is a massive stone building, a mausoleum writ large. You barely have a chance to see it, as an absolute tornado tempest of winds blast out.

The party, protected by magic and an invincible barrier, are shielded from them. Mirajane is not so lucky. Winds tear at her viciously, an absolute hellstorm of winds to put to shame the greatest tornadoes of the moral world.

Make a Fortitude save, Mirajane. Note if you have mettle.

Mirajane stands in the wind, arms crossed over her face to shield her. It slices her skin like razors, dozens of cuts bleeding. Any blood that comes out is immediately blown away, faster than any of you can follow. The winds blow and blow and blow - they're still blowing!

'They're not stopping!' Mirajane sends to the party, 'I can hold my position here and maybe advance, but it's like razors!'

She's basically waiting for a command here.

I want Mei to dispel this barrier and put one at 150ft away from the building directly between the building and us (including Mirajane), so that even if some winds get us it won't be the full force. Then I want all of us to make haste towards it. Mei doesn't have the speed for it, especially if she needs to put it up, so Hanna's in charge of making sure she makes it over.

It did not. Thank you for catching that, it somehow got lost in posting. It was suppressed, Jaela knows general anti teleport measures when she sees them. Probably an expanded dimensional lock effect or even astral severing.

I'm factoring that into it, yes. There's still enough distance and the winds are wild enough that being 50ft away from cover doesn't stop damage. It helps, but it's not enough here.

It shaves off 8d10 damage, but 10d10 remains. All of you passed the save and halve this damage. Mettle negates it if any of you have that. Moonlight has a partial version that doesn't apply here, unfortunately. 32 damage total. Damage reduction does not apply.


The party flies through Vacuum as fast as they can, through hungry nothingness that slices them like razor blades. They reach the next barrier with Mirajane, who winces and rubs her arms. 'Everyone alright?'

'Fine here,' Adrian sends back, his wounds slowly closing the bleeding has already stopped for him. 'I heal fast these days.'

'No time for idle chatter,' Vivantha sharply sends into your minds. 'We have no element of surprise now. We need to hurry before we face down terrible odds.'
