Jaela struggles, but nothing happens. It's as if life energy crumbles away to dust here, refusing to come to her call.

You can change the rest of your action beyond turning, since it was predicated on turning first.
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Corwin

I want to understand the effect better. The rest of my turn stands.

7:45 AM <Rin> roll 1d20+42 K:A
7:45 AM <Kobot> Rin rolled 1d20+42 K:A --> [ 1d20=6 ]{48}
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

Jaela would guess that some sort of effect has been laid over the fortress. Much how Water inhibits fire spells cast within it, this place inhibits healing magic and effects. At least turning and probably all supernatural abilities, and quite possibly spells as well. You can't really get more specific on how to deal with it without taking the time to study the magic.

Meanwhile Jaela's flames burn. They lap against the wall of spirits, but the flames stop against it, not seeming to bother the opaque wall.

Initiative order is now Empty Ghost 6 (32) > Hanna = Moonlight (30) > Adrian = Empty Ghost 4(28) > Mei = Empty Ghost 3 (27)> Jaela = Empty Ghost 1 = Empty Ghost 2 = Necrolyte 2 (26) > Empty Ghost 5 (22) > Mirima = Vivantha (19) > Canderella (15) > Necrolyte 1 (13) > Mirajane (10)

From within, you can hear a chorus of moans and a deep thrum. It's gathering power and getting louder by the moment.

Mirima and Vivantha are up. Go, Eb and Neph.

I would like to take 10 on all spells/magical effects I see, for a total of 45. Starting with the ghostwall and onwards, to avoid cluttering things with rolls or waiting on said rolls.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

Okay. The ghost wall is a Spiritwall (SC). You can read the spell yourself, but short version is this: Opaque but not solid, explicitly stops line of effect, hence your flames stopping at it. Can't really damage it as it's not solid. Deals damage if you touch it and does that plus a negative level if you go through it.

Corwin

Can I move through the spiritwall and try to burn the ghosts past it? I'll rely on Death Ward for protection.
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Nephrite

Vivantha will move after the others, stopping about 5ft behind Adrian in order to inspire her allies with courage as well as work towards removing that spiritwall -- but first, the music of magical distruption!

Combine songs for Inspire Courage as well as Hymn of Spelldeath.

+5 to Attack and weapon damage rolls, +5 to charm and fear save resistance.

Any enemy who can hear Vivantha performing must make an opposed check against her Perform. It doesn't say what  Perform, but her Perform (Sing) rank is 41.

Ebiris

As the impetuous elf that she is, Mirima can't merely wait for the spiritwall to be dispelled by her allies, not when Jaela and her potential mother in law are facing down enemies on the other side of it! Steeling herself for its bite, she rushes through to spear the ghost that conjured said wall with her blade before moving over to join Jaela!

In her heart she resolves to look into a ghost touch weapon after all this.

If you like, Jaela.

Jaela rushes through the wall, the touch of death heavy against her. It chills her body, weakening her as she bursts through.

> roll 1d10
<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d10 --> [ 1d10=2 ]{2}

Damage is negligible.

She stands just beyond it now, able to see the battle. As ghosts sizzle and burn from her fires, she can see the necrolyte on the left chanting. Red hellfire is gathering around his body, intensifying every moment.

Meanwhile Vivantha sings, her music bolstering her allies - but beyond the wall, the sound is distorted and powerless.

Spirit wall explicitly stops line of effect for supernatural abilities. I'm not sure if line of effect stops bardic music normally, but in this case the specific effect is sufficient for it. I couldn't find a quick answers googling and checking the SRD, so we'll roll with this for now.

Meanwhile Mirima springs through the wall, shuddering as her body is wracked with dull pain.

> roll 1d10 Mirima damage
<Kobot> Kotono rolled 1d10 Mirima damage --> [ 1d10=8 ]{8}

She dances through and slashes about...

Damage. Moonlight didn't roll d100 for miss chance, y'know. They look ghostly but they're solid for effects.

Burnt and severed, the ghost now blocking the way is slashed apart, ripped open and sucking everything in - including Mirima.

Reflex, Mirima.

Initiative order is now Empty Ghost 6 (32) > Hanna = Moonlight (30) > Adrian = Empty Ghost 4 (28) > Mei > Jaela = Empty Ghost 1 = Empty Ghost 2 = Necrolyte 2 (26) > Empty Ghost 5 (22) > Mirima = Vivantha (19) > Canderella (15) > Necrolyte 1 (13) > Mirajane (10)

Another ghost down. Two on the right side remain and three on the left. Canderella flies into the hollow, squeezing in with the others, "Well?" she demands, "Dispel it already!"

Meanwhile, the first necrolyte begins to chant as well. Hellfire gathers around him as well, both of them channeling more and more of it. The words intermix, gathering intensity and power around them. He also points and utters a single word in Infernal, "Burst!" Suddenly all the remaining ghosts shudder, their fronts tearing open as great gusts of wind shred those who have passed the spirit wall, stopping at it.

Fortitude save, Mirima and Jaela.
