Just materials purchase and spell mems. I only have five level 7 slots, so if Kascha could memorize a few castings (I dunno how many hydras there are), I'll cover the material costs.

That's fine. Same spell buffs the next day?

[Iron Dragoon]

Pretty much. I'll actually only be able to mem four castings of it. Need one slot for Energy Absorption. Just let me know how many slots Kascha'll memorize so I can loot post the material costs.

[Anastasia]

She can do up to 6.

[Iron Dragoon]

Wow, okay. That's 10 castings of it. We'll go with that for now, and tally up the remaining castings after. Loot post incoming.

Surraruthru, Kascha and Ebony return the next day, prepared for what may come. The same spells are on them as before, letting them move through the waters and return. As you approach, you find both Ice and Blue waiting for you, blocking the way in.

"Welcome! Hi!" Blue says, ten deep, reptilian voices speaking as one in Common. "Learning is so much fun! I'm learning so much just talking! I never knew Ice didn't like the purple fish but ate them anyway!"

Ice's eight heads are more focused, all on Surraruthru. "Yes, but Miss Kascha and Miss Ebony told me how important it was to be good, and part of being good is to be grateful. They're better than going hungry."

[Iron Dragoon]

"That's great! And yes, it's better than going hungry. But if you have the option, I don't think it's a big deal to indulge in what you like, but be grateful for the ability, yes. How did the evening go? Did the other have any reaction to your new behavior?"

[Anastasia]

"They're confused," Ice says, "They don't really understand anything at all."

Blue nods all ten of her heads, looking about between the three, "They can't, can they? Not like they are, not like we were?"

[Iron Dragoon]

"No, they can't. There's magic that makes it so that you can talk, but they won't be able to understand, not really. Did you come to a decision?"

[Anastasia]

"We did," Ice says, "This Aurora is where we can learn? Then we want to go, and we want you to take all of us and awaken them. There's 25 of us in total as well as a clutch of eggs."

[Iron Dragoon]

"25? That's... More than I expected, to be honest. We've prepared enough to awaken ten of you today, but the rest will have to happen over the next day or two. The eggs are a different story. Moving them will take time since they're likely delicate, and I'm not sure how the magic will affect them. I'll do some research into it, but they may have to wait until they hatch. Have you decided in which order everyone should be woken up? We'll need your help to keep them calm. Kascha and I will be the ones casting the spells, so one of you with each of us to keep things calm would be the best."

[Anastasia]

"Yes, you see..."

Okay, a lot of this is in the execution stage now. So you're planning to awaken them and then move them to Aurora, pending egg stuff?

[Iron Dragoon]

Yes. It'll depend if they want to go as they are awakened, or as an entire family unit. The eggs are going to be their own thing, I imagine.
