Afina vs the lich (Afina)

[Anastasia]

"Someone we're going to have to fucking ruin?" Dana asks.

[Ebiris]

"Probably," Afina nods, turning her gaze forward once more. "Still, he was pretty civil about things. Better than I'm used to, so credit where it's due."

[Anastasia]

"It's not more fuckin' devils, so of course it's civilized. Give a devil a shit pile and it'll find a way to dig deeper." Dana growls, "Still going to ruin him, though."

Mei nods strongly at Dana's words.

[Ebiris]

"Naturally," Afina agrees.

[Anastasia]

"Good enough."

From here you cross the field of spikes and reach the other side. Climbing up, you find it leads to a continuing path, which reaches a dead end with a cave plunging deeper into the mountain.

Afina climbs off Smrgol once they're back on solid ground, walking a little in front as they descend towards and into the cave...

Nothing ahead, just a cave. Which you go into, more than large enough for Smrgol. But not far into it you hit against an unseen barrier, rippling into view momentarily. A shimmering barrier, one you've dealt with time and time again - a wall of force blocks your way.

"Aww, should've brought Vanguard or one of the others," Afina says when confronted with this typical defence. But still, Aurora needs its golems for defence so they'll have to make do with copious usage of the disintegrate spell instead. Which is soon in evidence as a green beam shoots out to impact the unseen barrier!

"Mei?" Afina turns towards the elf in concern, Smrgol's neck craning around to do the same. "What's wrong?"

Mei coughs more and taps her throat. Dana sniffs, "It is a bit fucking hard to breathe, but I'm fine," she says, "This armor purifies toxins."
