[Anastasia]

"I confess, running around Ice naked and around devils is not my idea of a good time," Ebony remarks dryly, "Pardon the question, but why precisely are you doing that?"

[Ebiris]

"I'd be there too!" Afina says with a little grin, since it worked well with Bubbles. "But I'm hoping there'll be more guardians than just devils, they were only noted since my emnity with them is famous," she explains further. "The reason is to learn more about the para-elemental planes to broaden my understanding of my own elemental nature. I had a good experience when I went to Smoke with Simmer earlier, though it didn't end up as involved as this looks to be."

[Anastasia]

Ebony merely gives you a mildly amused look at your play, not directly commenting on it. Instead she drinks more tea and says, "I assume the loss of gear and clothing is mandatory? If not I would be interested, but I'm not willing to lightly risk being captured and taken to Mephistopheles."

[Ebiris]

"It is I'm afraid. I'll see if I can find someone able to endure the cold that won't be put in such brazen danger for accompanying me," Afina says. "Sorry for disturbing your tea," she flutters off, now to search out... Hanna? She'd be with Jaela though wouldn't she? Well she'll wait a while and see if they turn up, could make it a family outing.

[Anastasia]

Lemme pause you briefly pending Jaela.

[Anastasia]

Soon enough Hanna and Jaela return. A bit of Elena-ing gets them to head on over to Afina's quarters, where all of you meet. "You need us?" Hanna asks, no sign of injury from her previous sparring with Jaela and the others.

[Ebiris]

"I do, thanks for coming," Afina says, greeting them. "I'm doing something of a pilgrimage to places of power on the para-elemental planes to better understand and empower my own elemental nature," she prefaces, "Before the business with Yggdrasil I'd went to Smoke with Simmer which was productive, and now that we have time I intend to visit Ice. This will involve carrying out a journey into the wilds of Ice, bereft of equipment or even clothing, in pursuit of a place of power called Absolute Zero. Since people able to endure the cold are in short supply around here I'd like to invite you and Mirajane," she addresses the invitation towards Hanna. "But it will be dangerous, so for Mirajane's sake we'd also need to clear it with her mother," she then redirects her attention to Jaela.

[Corwin]

Jaela looks rather dubious, but she shrugs. "I trust you to keep Mirajane safe," she tells Afina, before turning towards Mirajane. "Remember the light trick? Just use it for clothes. Going around naked tends to send a message."

She tilts her head, returning her attention to Afina. "I could come too," Jaela notes. "I know a spell or two that'll keep me safe."

[Ebiris]

It really is a family outing! "If you're willing certainly," she nods to Jaela. "The stronger a force we present the better. There are going to be devils there, gelugons loyal to Mephistopheles who's well regarded on Ice. I haven't decided whether I'll want to kill everyone we meet, but having more numbers to keep them from provoking us would probably help."

[Anastasia]

"Yes, mother," Mirajane demurs, saying no more.

"I'll go," Hanna says, "A devil daring to look at me like that just gives me another reason to smite them, so it works out wonderfully. I'll need to prepare spells that don't rely on a divine focus, though, and that may take some time."

[Ebiris]

"I want to wait till tomorrow to recover strength from the preparatory run I made earlier, so that's fine," Afina agrees.

[Corwin]

"I'm good with that," Jaela agrees. She wonders if she should ask for help with that ultroloth Tannin had dug up, but it's probably premature right now. "I'll even do my best to not use Miracle the entire time," she tells her mother with a grin.

Jaela snaps her fingers, then, and a wooden replica of her regular holy symbol appears hovering in the air above her hand. "Or, you know, you could just do this. I can teach you the spell, it's super easy~"

[Anastasia]

"I'm so used to not using that spell," Hanna admits, "Though would that violate the terms of the ordeal, Afina?"

[Ebiris]

"No, only the power you have and the magic you can weave around yourself are permitted," Afina says. "Conjured items fall into that category."

[Anastasia]

"So you'll be conjuring clothes for yourself, or would that go back into violating it?" Hanna asks.
