"For someone who deals in information, you sure are quick to pass the responsibility sometimes." Moore says with a grin. "I'll ask them. Thanks for going through the trouble."

Anastasia

"Yeah, sure. I'll file a big official report and see if anyone else has a job for me right now," Tannin gets up, "G'luck with her. If she tempts you, pretty sure Queenie will kill you if you give in."

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"I am not terribly worried about that matter." Moore says with some measure of confidence. "Thank you nonetheless. Please let me know if I can be of any help to you."

Anastasia

"Yeah, see ya," Tannin waves as he goes off.

Cast some spells (Scholar's touch, Divine Insight, etc) and go hunting through Aurora's Library on the Buried Prince of the Samgan Empire and where it might be located other than 'In the Samgan Empire'.

Anastasia

If I recall, didn't you make this check before?

Nephrite

Technically speaking no, because the last time was just on Algorand and that led to the Samgan Empire, which I didn't do a lot more digging into at the time. If you wanted to roll it all together that's fine though.

Anastasia

Okay, copy/paste your previous check results into here and then make a check.

Posting what I think is relevant from last time.

Even with scholar's touch and Sage Vul'lath helping, it takes hours and hours of reading. Moore's eyes are tired, his wings droop and he has to struggle not to face plant onto the book he's reading. It's a recent addition to Aurora's library, an account of various Prime worlds. Skimming, your spells long since expended, you casually read, "...and the lost island Algorand..."

Man, this is such a waste of time. You've spend all day read-wait a sec. Moore blinks his eyes and reads it again. "The stories of Makim and the lost island Algorand." It's just a casual summary of lore from various Prime worlds. The story is of a powerful wizard named Makim, who stole a rich and fertile island from the world and hid it away. Brave Prince Rennard challenges him but was soundly defeated, again proving the might of wizardry over common sword play. It then goes onto mention that the myth is popular in the Samgan Empire, a wizard-based meritocracy.

[13:19] <Kobot> Nephrite rolled 1d20+22+15 K:L --> [ 1d20=9 ]{46} (If the Library bonus applies, which I presume it does, then this is 61)

You spend hours looking, but no luck. The library just doesn't have anything else on it. From the one source you found before, it's likely this is fairly new information. "A relatively new Prime world is my guess," Sage Vul'lath says. "Information may not have disseminated far yet, and even then, finding out about one Prime world of many is difficult."

"Then it may simply be easier to go there directly and find out from the locals." Moore agrees. "Actually, Sage, I have a question -- since I'll be Gating there, but I've never actually -been- there before, is there any kind of advice you can give me so I don't just end up in the middle of an ocean or something?"

Anastasia

"Aim for a safe place. Teleportation magic is designed to place you safely." Sage Vul'lath explains, "Unless you make a remarkably dullheaded mistake, this should provide no problem."

Moore nods. "Thank you. I'll see if I can bring back some books to add to the library."

With that, he's off to see if anyone else would like to go.

He doesn't really have much of a preference on specifically who, but will ask around if anyone who's still in Aurora would like to go. In theory it'd be just one more person along with Dana so as not to overload you.

Anastasia

Are you able to manage the gating or however you're getting there, or will someone have to?

Moore can handle it via his amazingly-named flute so as to not bother poor Vul'lath ever again.
