While Jaela does that Afina rejoins Moonlight. "We've relinked with the main army? I don't think we have any further priority targets of our own now most of the city's been taken, as I understand it," she comments. "No trouble while I was gone?"

Anastasia

"Yeah, you all okay?" Balyss comes over, "I heard about Hanna." she says, laying a hand on you as her othe rhand grasps her holy symbol, "Oh Selune, please wash away night's insidious touch with your moonlight!"

Motes of glittering moonlight surround you, your afflictions fading entirely.

Lunar healing. Heals 250 HP and heals everything heal does, along with negative levels and ability damage. From the spell text:

Lunar healing momentarily conjures a cloud of tiny moonlight motes, said to be miniscule fragments of Selune herself. The energy of these motes rejuvenates the touched creature, granting them the benefits of a heal spell, except that this can recover up to 300 hit points. In addition, all negative levels and ability drain is cured by this spell. Afflicted lycanthropes are automatically cured of lycanthropy by this spell.

If used against an undead creature, evil outsider or evil lycanthrope, this spell functions as harm instead and deals up to 300 points of damage. An evil afflicted lycanthrope is cured of lycanthropy if they survive this damage, this is a side effect of the energies involved.

"Then for now we're on reaction duty against any counterattacks, or that dogai. Once our control is solidified we'll redeploy into new groups for attacking the other two cities. Just hold tight for now," she says, keeping her eyes peeled in the meantime.

Corwin

"I haven't been this angry in a while," Jaela tells Balyss, putting her hand over the one on her shoulder. She gives it a pat before stepping back. "Since things are so smooth, I want you and Mirajane in the safety of Aurora, treating our wounded."

She turns towards Afina, asking, "What if I moved against one of the other cities with a small contingent of ship-borne troops? I can take a town with Mountainous Fire alone."

"Taking a town and holding it are two different things," Afina retorts. "If it were that simple the dogai would be in charge of this city right now after all. No, we go with our armies."

Corwin

"I'm thinking it will force the dogai to go after me. Once it's done, we can follow through with the army."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Ebiris

"It already tried and failed to kill you, I think it's far more likely to continue seeking softer targets," she replies, unconvinced. "Not to mention it means the army that follows will be deprived of your presence and support, leaving them more vulnerable on the march. We're already having to split our forces to hit two cities while leaving a credible force to defend here."

Corwin

"Okay. Moonlight, I'm poaching you to replace Mirajane. Balyss, Mirajane, I'll escort the two of you to the Aurora before we return to making our rounds." Jaela nods at Afina. "Hope the dogai comes after your group next."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Ebiris

That sounds ominous, but okay? "He'll regret it if he does."

Corwin

"No one I trust more to put him in the ground."
<Steph> I might have made a terrible mistake

Anastasia

Okay, so Moonlight over with Jaela and Mirajane goes back to Aurora. Afina, are you optioning anyone else in?

Mirajane and Balyss, being our top combat healers.

Ebiris

Just me and Dana seems like. As said we're on rapid response to deal with any troubles until the city is taken and we can reorganise into new armies for going after the other cities.

Anastasia

Okay. I'll keep Afina in here and spin Jaela into her own thread.

As you stay in place, you get a sharp message from Tepen. 'Afina, Misalea is not returning telepathic communication. She's by the Oak Mausoleum.'
