"Dunno," The dwarf grunts as you rub your chin, "But I know one thing, famous dwarf wisdom. It's not the destination, it's the journey."

<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Well, sir, as I said to the last person -- My name is Moore, I'm with Aurora. If you're ever looking for work with us or to trade with us, you're always welcome." Moore says with a bow.

Anastasia

"You do well up there," The dwarf says, returning fully to his whittling.

Nephrite

"Thanks. May the stone keep you safe." Moore says as he flies back along the path.

That was a dwarven saying, wasn't it? Crap, did he say it wrong?

Anastasia

If it's wrong, the dwarf doesn't comment on it. Instead you fly along and up. You don't come on the spring again - instead the path winds up and up, higher and higher. It looks to be getting rather steep, though nothing your wings can't take care of.

Nephrite

Well, if he's being shown a direct path, it wouldn't be wise to ignore it. He will follow it up!

Anastasia

You fly up. Up, up and up some more. Eventually the path levels out again, becoming like it was before - just a path going further up the mountain.

Does his gut and/or like a 45 on a K:R check tell him he probably went up another layer?

Well, no time like the present! He will stop to say a small prayer, thanking whoever is guiding him, before he continues on.

Anastasia

Doesn't look like it to him. Still feels Mercuria-y.

Strange... Did that mean he needed to go higher in a different part of the same place...?

Oh well, he'll just soldier on!

You wander for a time longer, until the path hooks inward. Following it for a time, you see it leads into a green, rolling valley. Stone buildings dot the terrain ahead while a fast moving river travels down the valley.

Where in the heck...?

Moore decides to try something - it probably won't work, but he'd like to at least know where he is!

So he casts Lay of the Land!

Presuming that doesn't tell him anything or doesn't work, would a K:L work here? He's mostly trying to figure out where this might be if anything.

Anastasia

It's all mountain for 50 miles for every direction, except a familiar cliff a couple of miles ahead, where a dwarf whittles wood.

K:L check, yes.
