"All right." Moore clears his throat.

"I don't know a lot of the details that happened with the twins, but from my understanding..."

Thus, a long and rather rosy explanation of the various tribulations they ran into will ensue. He'll stop his recounting around the time of the white-skinned creature he ran into with Adrian. "Any idea what that might've been? I've never seen a white-skinned devil before... maybe it was a demon?" He shrugs a little bit as he takes a moment to pause.

For what it's worth he'll take 10 on a Perform (Oratory) here for 65. He wants to keep her at least moderately entertained.

Canderella looks properly entertained, smiling as you weave your tale. That turns into laughter as your suggestion, "A demon? Moore, are you suggestion a demon would be working with devils? No self respecting demon would do that! They'd rather die in battle before that happens."

<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Nephrite

"Couldn't someone say the same of a succubus working for the same cause angels and other celestials were striving for?" Moore counters with a smile.

Anastasia

"You're not familiar with the Blood War, are you?" Canderella asks, "I'm not sure if you're lucky or cursed."

"I'm not intimately familiar, but I understand the basic concepts." Moore says with a small shrug. "I just think it's a possibility -- I mean, stranger things have happened, right? Well, maybe not. Either way, if he wasn't a demon then I'm still not sure what he might've been. Creepy, either way."

Anastasia

"Creepy is right. I don't know what it was," Canderella admits, "Something's plaything, maybe."

"I doubt Taelfagn was the only Duke who was trying to move chesspieces there." Moore says. "Anyway, where was I... Well, we'd mostly wrapped up things on our end before... uh..." He takes a breath. "I'm not exactly sure how to describe it, but you know how Benfal's in Elysium now, yeah? Well, I think we all witnessed it." He gestures to the side, dismissively.

"Can't remember it, of course, but we all heard some words... I think it was a song, actually. Or, maybe, more correctly, the Words of Creation used as a song. Anyway, some lady named Cantasa Alexandria opened a gate or something, probably a gate to Elysium, then brought Benfal up through it. Uh... the way I describe it fails to send home the impact of the whole thing, I'm sure... Alas, I don't have the power to break reality ad a demonstration for you."

Anastasia

"I've heard already," Canderella chuckles warmly, "Ebony waxed poetic about it for some time."

"Haha, I'm sure to her it was a euphoric experience." He chuckles at that. "Hey, Candy, what does Talos have to say about forgiveness and redemption?"

Anastasia

"Heh, heh," Canderella chuckles, "The new regime? Those who betray you are struck down with the wrath of storms, but those that repent are given a chance to earn abeyance from being punished. These days it's positively sparkling. Oh, in the good old days, a heretic was lucky if they were struck down dead right off. Lightning and thunder can do such things to a body without causing death."

"I've been giving a lot of thought to the traitors from Lifasa." Moore explains. "I have to wonder if some of them regret their decisions, or... if they just regret having failed in the eyes of their Hellish masters, you know?"

Anastasia

"It's easy to regret when your back is to the wall, or lie like you are," Canderella says, "They're devils. If the situation was different, they'd gladly toss you into a pit to burn for all eternity. Don't go soft on them, Moore. They'll take advantage of that."

Nephrite

"No, no, I understand what you mean. I just mean that... I think, at their core..." He takes a breath. "I met Lady Lliira a few weeks ago. The unbridled joy and hope I felt when I was in her presence... it got me to think that no one is really beyond redemption. That's all." He smiles at that and clears his throat. "At the same time, you have to want it, you know? At least, that's what I think."

Anastasia

"That's the trick, isn't it? Making such a creature want it," Canderella says, "The answer to that's one of the big ones. I know most celestials would do anything for such an answer."

"It all depends on the individual." Moore says. "Maybe I'm too... hopeful? We'll see, I suppose. But I'm not from Lifasa, so I really shouldn't go spouting off my opinions on what should be done there."
