What if they're not stars at all? What if the night sky is full of titanic far-off lidless eyes, staring in all directions across eternity?

Anastasia

<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Latha's armory is a grand, classical temple full of forges within. Here Latha and several astral devas pound at a black dragon's scale larger than a pair of Hannas, the sound of the hammering like striking metal rather than mere scales.

Calleigh ooh's and aah's appropriately as she flies in. Tryll silently keeps pace with her.

Latha pauses her work and flies down to the three of you. "Here so soon," she greets you. "Welcome to Sylica."

"I promised you a weapon," Latha says, and then to Surraruthru, "Surraruthru, I believe?"

"Indeed. Greetings Latha. What project are you using this scale for?"

Surraruthru strides over to the scale and inspects it out of curiosity.
This is not the greatest post in the world, no... this is just a tribute.

It's the scale of a black dragon. From the size it has to be a great wyrm.

"We are going to forge it into a marvelous suit of armor," Latha says.

"Oh? Interesting. I look forward to the day one of my scales is large enough to make armor from..."

Surraruthru trails off consideringly, then nods to himself before clearing his throat.

"I suppose this is a good opportunity. I've been making efforts to... reduce.. mildly.. my natural inclination for greed. Generosity is... difficult. So I will take the chance now."

Surraruthru reaches up and pulls off two scales with a bit of effort and a wince of pain before offering them to Latha.

"While not nearly as useful or powerful as that scale, you may find a way to make a bauble of them."

The scales are taken and examined, "Thank you," Latha says, smiling, "This will help the armor of a paladin facing cultists of Imix. Would you care for a weapon as well?"

Surraruthru shrugs.

"I'm not much for weapons, truthfully. Anything you gave me would stand as a work of art, not a weapon of war. If you have such a piece, I would gladly make it part of my hoard."
