If this daemon doesn't want to do anything but slither around us, why should we fight fairly? I think he'd have a marvelous time dying against Medi's legacy, dears."

"Fair," Jaela agrees. "He can face just us in battle where he presumably has some shred of a chance, or he can die to Aurora. Given he wanted to limit his exposure, that goes out the window the moment we spread the word."

Can I tell whether the trapped souls/faces got released when the wall was broken? With K:R, K:P or somesuch?

You don't think they where, but with a note of uncertainty. The walls collapsed by explosion, so you could've missed  it in the whole being buried alive thing that got your attention at the same time. If there was some sign of them being freed, it's possible you flat missed it.
