Both bleed but stand firm despite your slashes, as you see no one here - just more hall, sloping down more and into a room ahead, though at this angle you can't see much besides red glow.

The first bearded devil holds his position, and as he does he lets out a shout. Both barbazu swell up, growing more muscled, more potent as meanwhile Mei raises her hand. She utters one single note of noise, heartbreakingly beautiful as it resonates amid the three of you.

The sense of dread withdraws for one moment as she speaks, as Jaela feels the warmth of a summer day and can smell the rich scent of the forest.

Heavenly Blessing, +52 temporary hit points for everyone but Afina since she's otu of range. Jaela, go.

Jaela charges forward, blinking blood out of her eyes. Her spear goes right through the barbazu's shield, the entire thing bursting aflame with golenfire. The fiend is immolated, impaled through the heart and reduced to ash on the wind. The other grunts as it burns, holding position at least for now, in spite of its injuries.
