27 just gives you a long look.

"So, what do you think?"

Not entirely sure where to go from here. You said the spell was fine but there was a black out and 27's speech wasn't much more understandable .

27 looks at you gravely. "The problem isn't understanding," he finally says, "But understanding what is understood when you understand the spell."

"So I need to figure out intent, not the spoken word, and a way to have that converted for retention after the spell ends.. That means a mix of reading emotion and thought..."

[Anastasia]

27 merely watches you at this, "Can anyone know another?" he asks quietly.

"Not entirely, but I'm not trying to learn true names. For conversation, it should be enough, no?"

[Anastasia]

27 nods gravely.

"So, how do I stop the blackouts... Or was that a one-time adjustment thing..."

[Anastasia]
