Okay, I'll set it up. What's the item being awakened and how can it communicate?

It's a Scimitar. It can communicate Telepathically with me and in common, plus one additional language per point of int. Here's my rough idea of it:

Shifting Steel +1, 50,015gp: Shifting Steel is a Holy Scimitar of Transmuting. Holy: Good-aligned, +2d6 damage vs. evil alignment. Transmuting: 1 round after a successful hit, over comes damage reduction. In addition to these enchantments, Shifting Steel is also an Item Familiar. See below for details:

Does the weapon have an alignment?

It gains my alignment, which is CN.

One problem - that clashes with adding holy to it. Do you want to adjust for that?

[Iron Dragoon]

Yeah. Is there a chaotic version of it? If so, I imagine it's the same cost?

[Anastasia]

Anarchic. Same cost.

[Iron Dragoon]

I'll do that, then.

With a final word, the ritual is complete. You stand before the ritual circle, the scimitar floating there. Did it work? You think it worked. You can feel the magic in it, the sword radiating a clear light that fills the entire room.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa lifts it and draws it to her with her Telekinesis, looking it over and examining the magic in it, making sure it worked.

[Anastasia]

The sword wiggles as you hold it. "You're Alyssa?" it asks aloud, voice a bit gruff and decidedly male.
