The Next Step Forward

[Anastasia]

"Oooooh..." Emily trails off, blinking. "Oh right, I'm sorry! It just sounded so interesting."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa nods.

"Eagerness to learn is to be commended, but for now, I'd like to save the two of them. Would you like to look over Delaize, the diviner?"

[Anastasia]

"Oh, was he the one cursed? Of course," Emily agrees right away.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa calls over a lower ranking mage, directing them to take Emily to Delaize while she waits for the books to arrive.

[Anastasia]

Easy. Soon enough your books arrive and...

Go ahead.

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa begins flipping through them, looking for the entry on the root to confirm and hopefully find a treatment.

[Anastasia]

Ah, there it is. The treatment's straightforward - magic and rest. Those that survive it are almost always in horrible condition, requiring lots of bedrest or powerful healing magic, preferably both. It gets worse if the poison is augmented at all or if it hits someone in poor health.

[Iron Dragoon]

"Well, according to this, you've done everything to be done. Magic healing and rest. Jarem, do you think we could get him to Ysgard? Maybe into the Red Knight's territory to recuperate?"

[Anastasia]

"I could do that," Jarem agrees, as a page rushes in. "Ma'am," she says, hood of her robe falling back as she comes in, perhaps 20 years old and blonde hair a mess. "There's a powerful wizard asking for Miss Emily back immediately. She looks really upset at Miss Emily."

Jarem glances over, "Thanks, and it's called knocking, not barging in."

[Iron Dragoon]

Alyssa sighs.

"Page, this is a sick room. Be respectful, calm, and quiet. Did you happen to get a name from this wizard?"

[Anastasia]

"H-her name is Elle Stronger, ma'am," The page says, wilting a bit.

[Iron Dragoon]

"Thank you. Please see Ms... Stronger... to one of our guest rooms. I'll see if I can't find Emily."

Turning to Jarem, "See if you can't get a couple of your people to take Ule here over to Ysgard."

With that, she goes to Delaize's rooms.

[Anastasia]

What'cha gonna do there?

[Iron Dragoon]

Talk to Emily about this new person. Possibly give her a chance to plane shift away and meet me in Hades later. Maybe figure out an argument to stay. Maybe try to recruit the new person.

You head to Emily's room, walking by yourself A page runs up to you, a male this time, strong and full bodied. "Ma'am!" she calls, "Um, our newest guest is insisting that she see Emily now, that it's a matter of her safety. She's impressing on us to really hurry."
