"Could you arrange for observers on Magma, in case we have another suitable condition?" Seira requests. "We'll follow up on it then. For now, I think I'll go say hello, since he's had time to acclimate to the Cauldron." Turning to Amaryl, she asks, "Would you like to come as well, Dear?"

Anastasia

"Ah! I would," Amaryl blinks, looking up sharply. She's still blushing, "Let's go see how Omni is doing."
<Afina> Imagine a tiny pixie boot stamping on a devil's face.
<Afina> Forever.

<Yuthirin> Afina, giant parasitic rainbow space whale.
<IronDragoon> I mean, why not?

Corwin

Thus Seira sets off to see Omni with Amaryl!

Omni is deep in the Cauldron. A large cavern, where he sits and watches a fountain flow. Nothing too special, just seemingly absorbed in the movement of the waters.

"I'm partial to water, myself," Seira muses, coming over to sit next to him. "I spent many year in a port city, and I never got tired of looking out at the waves."

"Water moves," Omni says, "It always moves. Earth stays still, but water moves. Fire moves, air soars."

"Ah, but what about still water?" Seira asks. She gestures to her side, saying, "My wife, Amaryl. And Amaryl, this is Omni."

Amaryl gets a look, "Are you of fire? Your cheeks are red like fire."

Amaryl's blush resurges again, "Ah. No. Though I do use fire to fight my enemies."

"We lean towards fire," Seira responds, for her part. "The dragon that set things in motion the most for me was, and then I learned to wield a purer fire from Kossuth. I don't discriminate against the other elements, however. In fact, that's why I've worked all these years to bring them all together, along with my friends."

Omni's attention turns to the stone ground he sits on. "Stone does not move. But stone is strong. Stronger than fire, water, wind. It is solid."

"It is rigid, waiting with infinite patience for the right moment. It protects without fail, and once the moment to strike comes, acts resolutely."

"You learn from all of them," Omni says, less a question and more a statement.

"The silent strength of stone, the liveliness of air, the tireless flow of water, the boundless energy of fire," Seira agrees.

"All together," Omni finishes, "Even if they fight. Is that the unity of law?"

Corwin

"I like to see it as the unity of balance. Law and chaos are extremes, after all, but it is while considering both that a proper argument can be constructed. The elements are the same way."
