Saying so, Alyssa begins to drift backwards, keeping an eye out for any sign of attack.

"Let's get the hell out of here and stay prepared," Jarem says tersely, "I'd bet money it went to get friends rather than attack us head on, after its attack failed so miserably. The fact that it fireballed us and we simply talked to it showed that it didn't have a chance against us."

"You think so?" Emily frowns, "I've never met a Xag-ya before, maybe it was confused? There's no way the Red Knight and Mom are abominations."

"Yeah, that's the thing with fanatics and alien creatures. It doesn't have to make sense, they just have to believe it," Jarem speeds along now, "Eyes sharp, don't fly too close together."

"I agree. Watch for them. Curiously, it never commented on me, only you two. And only your mother and the Red Knight, not Shaundakul. I wonder if there's a connection there... Shaundakul is one of the oldest dieties..."

[Anastasia]

"Might be," Jarem says, "The Red Knight rose a long time ago, like Seira did." A squint as he slowly rubs his chin, "You might be onto something there. Keep that one in mind in case we run into them again, and record that somewhere. Information on the Xag-ya's scarce, any lore and speculation helps."

Emily reddens faintly as she glowers in the direction it went, "Maybe it just likes old men?"

A chuckle at that from Jarem, "Don't be tart, be sweet. It works better for you, Princess. You don't have the personality to be snappish like that."

Alyssa chuckles. "No hard feelings. It's mind works differently. Just let it be at that. Or I could lock you in a room with something Slaad to get the point across?"

[Anastasia]

Okay, ready to continue on? Any new precautions or just continuing to search?

Don't know enough about the place to take more precautions, so just continue on more paranoid than before.

All of you fly on as you go - and Emily abruptly looks up, "Problem!" she calls, drawing her sword and shield in a flash.

Alyssa spins to look, pulling Shifting Steel into the air with her Telekinesis as she looks for what caused the alarm.

"I hate being right." Jarem curses as he begins to fly to the side.

Above all of you, about 200ft up or so, are many more xag-yas. Several dozen of them, spreading out and coming down towards all of you.
