Where? I don't see it in recent posts?

I am out of it today, so that might be it.

Hate when that sort of thing happens.

The dwarf leads you deeper down, deeper into the earth. Downstairs you go, to rooms full of fire dwarves. Resting, waiting as they all turn to you, simple and squalid rooms here, little of value on a glance.

Go ahead.

Moore casts a quick spell first.

Sonorous Hum.

"My name is Moore. I'm here to rescue you." He says in Dwarven. "I'm going to open a gate to somewhere where you'll be safe. Please go through it."

Would a quick spellcraft of 74 tell me if teleportation/gate wouldn't work here?

Anastasia

It depends on how strong the beacon is. It's one of those things that without having your hands on the beacon itself, you can only find out with divinations or stress testing.

He'll give it a shot! Using his item for gate, then. If it works, it goes to Lunia at his base.

The gate opens as expected.

The dwarves all turn to you, as your guide steps forward, "Freedom," he calls. "Freedom! Freedom!"

"Freedom!"

"Freedom!"

"FREEDOM!"

The cry sweeps them as before your eyes, they rush through the gate. More and more, a steady crowd hurrying through, taking the chance given.

"Tell the guards that Moore sent you and just settle in for a while, I'll be there once we're done here." Moore says to their dwarven friend. "Further down are the other slaves, right? You don't have to stick around to be our guide, we can figure it out." He offers a smile afterwards. "Thanks for having courage."

For now, he simply waits to make sure all of them make it through without any issue.

The dwarf dashes to one of the beds, pulls something out and throws it at you before hurrying through the portal.

Cresiel smoothly steps in and catches it, looking down. "A gold coin," he says, "A single one."

Take 10 for 74 on Spellcraft. Maybe it's a MAGICAL gold coin.

If it isn't, he's assuming maybe it's a dwarven custom of some nature! He can do a knowledge check on that too.

It's not magical and it's not a ritual or tradition you recognize. On thinking about it, you also note that the fire dwarves are likely azer.
