Moore will let go of the Blood Ruby and see if whatever it is is going to be an immediate reaction or one that might take some time.

Nothing at first. The Blood Ruby simply floats there. It doesn't fall but instead stays in place, glowing with the same radiance that engulfs the entire plane.

"Well, there's no harm in waiting a bit, I suppose." He says after a while.

Let's give it an hour or so, knowing that this is likely not going to be an overnight process anyway -- but you never know!

After about 40 minutes, you notice something. Tiny little cracks are starting to form on the Blood Ruby.

An hour passes as more and more cracks show on the Blood Ruby. When it finally happens, it's fast - a sharp CRACK as it shatters, ruby red dust raining down as the gemstone is no more.

Moore smiles and nods. He gives it another few minutes to analyze the magic and make sure, at least, the evil presence is gone.

Take 10 on Spellcraft for 74 to ensure it's more or less just getting neutralized.
